We stumbled on this place out of curiosity. We go to this plaza all the time but never noticed this restaurant tucked at the end corner. So glad we did because this is a hidden gem. It's a fusion between Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai. We ordered the salt & pepper pork and pad Thai and both are amazing. I thought the price was a little expensive at first but given the portion size, it's not too bad. So excited to come back and try other dishes next time we're in the area. In all honesty, we were a bit let down. Nothing was terrible, we've definitely had worse. But, considering the hundreds of rave reviews and recommendations, I feel like Asian Corner Cafe is overhyped. The atmosphere is fine. Nothing much going on. Definitely on the nicer/cleaner side for a Chinese Restaurant. Not a hole in the wall type place. Our server wasn't the best. He wasn't mean or anything but he was unhelpful and rushed us. We started with the Potato Wrapped Shrimp. They were pretty bland, but with the sweet & sour sauce provided they were nice and crunchy. My Mom got the Hibachi Chicken Udon, I tried a bite and it was just okay. She thought the chicken was pretty bad, but the noodles were nice and chewy. I ordered the Pad Thai, which wasn't very good. It was soupy, the noodles didn't taste right, and the egg was full on scrambled, like someone just threw it on top. Once again, the chicken was just plain gross. Well... I was going to try ramen hood for lunch but I read reviews and saw someone said it was $17.50 for a bowl so I said maybe I'll pass. Then I saw sign from corner of my eyes that said Asian corner café.. .. So i looked up the menu and reviews so I decided to give it a try. Their new Thai chilli wings looked good.. And I can always go for bowl of Pho.. So I decided to go. Restaurant was nice and clean and staff was pretty friendly.. I looked at the menu and saw that it was Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese.. I was thinking, well.. It's going to be really good or it's going to suck, considering the multi cultural dishes. Ordered the Thai chilli chicken wings and spicy beef Pho.. Of course my Pho came out first.. I looked at the broth and noticed it literally had like table spoon of chilli sauce in the bowl. Tasted the broth and I was purely disappointed.. It wasn't spicy and the broth was very mediocre. It was missing some spicy for being a Pho broth. I felt like this broth was base broth for their Pho and Tom yum and what ever other soup dish they have. Oh not to mention server brought me fork. I'm like wth.. Who brings Asian guy ordering Pho a fork... So my wings came half way through my bowl. I looked at the wings and I'm like well.. Inflation up chicken wing size down. Sooooooo tiny. Pho had decent amount of noodles which was good. But over all it was probably one of the worse one I've had. I mean I can only blame myself.. It's like going to a Mexican restaurant and complaining their Kung pao chicken sucks. Then to my tiny tiny wings. What a pure disappointmentent also.. It was nice and crispy right out of thr fryer. I don't know why they call it Thai chilli.. Only thing I tasted was salt.. It was salty salty salty. No heat or chilli flavor at all.. 1st time visitor. Arrived for lunch and welcomed by staff. Immediately seated by server and asked if any questions. Placed my order for Geneal Tso and was impressed when arrived. My food was fresh and crispy. One of the beat I've had. Portion was decently sized and was provided with condiments on side as requested. Ambience was relaxing and very clean. Foodie Fact: 45 billion pairs of chopsticks are used in China annually. That's a lot of sticks! I've had this place bookmarked for a minute so we finally decide to pop in after the gym. Did I eat back my calories? No way --- I ate back even more. Haha! What was ordered: Corn & Cream Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Orange Chicken, Salt and Pepper Pork Chop, and Asian Curry Hash Browns. Both the soups were great. Good consistency, great flavor, and oh so warming for the tum tum. I really enjoyed their orange chicken as well. It's not super saucy which I appreciated as it tends to make the deep-friend chicken soggy. As for the salt and pepper pork chop, it was good! I never had it where the pork chop pieces are fully battered but I can appreciate it. I prefer the dry-dredge in flour style more though. As for the Asian Curry Hash Browns, if you're a fan of croquettes, you'll love these! I'm a fan so I loved them. Yum! So yeah, Asian Corner Cafe is good! Fusion food often fall into the "Jack of all trades" syndrome. Asian Corner food is good but it's not masterful. When I go back, and I will, I'll stick with Pho. I love Pho. And there's is good. They held it too long before serving and so all the beef was completed cook and starting to curl up. But it was still tasty. We ordered Thai Basil chicken. I know I'm fairly new to the Phx Asian food scene but I found sliced sautéed jalapeños distracting. Also I expect to taste/see basil in my basil chicken. I will not order that again. But the fun item was the Shoyu egg...eggs soaked in Soy. They yolk is creamy and delish. The whites turned brown from the soy. Yum! Service was good for awhile and then we were forgotten. It is a small, and appears to be a family run place. I understand not having a full staff. Overall I think Asian Corner was ok. I wasn't bedazzled. I came here for a weekday lunch with my mom and we both got one of their lunch specials. I feel like lunch specials are usually supposed to be quite a bit cheaper than normal menus, but it was still kinda pricey for a restaurant that is not really upscale at all. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce while my mother got the hunan tofu with eggplant. Each lunch special also comes with white (or brown) rice and a vegetable egg roll. My shrimp with lobster sauce taste-wise was pretty good but only had maybe 5 very small shrimps and then just piled with onions and peppers. I tried my moms dish and didn't think it was particularly great as the tofu and eggplant were honestly kinda bland and not spicy at all. Overall, each of our lunch specials were like $15-16 which I think is expensive coming from a hole in the wall kinda Chinese restaurant as a lot of other Asian restaurants in the area have lunch specials that are less than $12 with twice the amount of food. Although the food was fine, I'm not sure if I'd come back because I think the value is just not there. read more

We've wanted to stop in here for a long time and finally took the plunge. Take out was pretty fast but I was somewhat disappointed in the food quality. Chicken and broccoli was pretty good but didn't have much of a sauce. The chicken fried rice was also very dry. We haven't tried this place in a while and wanted to give it a try last night. Ordered the food from Uber eats and it was super easy and seamless. We went ahead and ordered their famous Singapore noodles and chicken chow fun noodles. Both arrived warm and the quantity was pretty good for 2. Singapore noodles - A must must order. There is loads of shrimp, egg, veggies and the rice noodles, so delicious. I had a bowl and kept craving for more. All my heart and stars are for this amazing noodles. Chicken chow fun - Rice noodles with lots of chicken portion but the soy sauce was a little over powering. It was decent. We tried this place out for lunch today. We had the orange chicken and the kungpao chicken lunch specials. They came with an egg roll that was very crispy, and good. The orange chicken was also very crispy, and the sauce was good, but not overpowering. The kung Pao was not very traditional. It had a rather bland brown sauce with no spice in it at all. There were only a couple of peppers mixed in that gave it some spice. The portions were decent sized for lunch specials, but at $14 a plate they were not a bargain by any means. read more

They need to play music and at least have pictures on the wall or something kind of bland depressing and the other thing is they don't itemize the check when you get it. We have a tradition of going out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve, but our normal go-to spot was not allowing dine-in eating after 5:00. So, off to find a new place and found this on Yelp. Well, we have a new spot, even though it's further away. It was clean, and the service was top-notch. The food was even better. We had the Singapore Noodles (hubby's favorite) and they lived up to his expectations. The Hot & Sour soup was amongst the best I've ever had, and the Chicken & Eggplant was amazing. The Thai Iced Tea wasn't overly sweet. No complaints except would like a little wider variety on the menu. Definitely will be going back to try some of the other dishes though. read more

It definitely fits the name but downfall is that most ppl may not notice it since it's at the corner. But this place has great food, it's clean, and always fresh ingredients! I got to try their wonton last time which was the best wontons I ever had. It's juicy, soft, and flavorful. The soup was also great too. Perfect flavor and not too sweet. I just happen to be lucky and got a sample tasting of it. Their mapo tofu is like ma la tofu but it's not too super super spicy and isn't numbing (which I like). But it definitely gives the ma la flavor to it. And the numbing is very light which was what we asked for. We also order the black pepper tenderloin beef dish and omg the meat was soooo tender so good. It was gone so quick. We also got the salt and pepper pork chop which is really good too. Everything taste amazing and all I can say is that everything was beyond amazing lol. They were also super nice and friendly. Well, this place persevered, and we were hungry, so let's try it again. It has been four years since we last were here. We ordered Yui Shan chicken, and salt and pepper pork. The food was nothing special. Not bad, not great. At least the chicken was something different. Decor nothing special. Server days they really are Chinese, and steered me away from the curry. So some bonus points there (i.e. I value being treated honestly and fairly...he could have said the curry was excellent, but he didn't). Don't leave many reviews, but this place deserved it. 4 star restaurant food at take out prices. Ada, one of the owners, waited on us and had good recommendations. Her service was spectacular and the food was divine! The honey siracha shrimp was something from the heavens. Delicately crunchy, yet tender and sweet. So many times have we had over cooked shrimp, we lost count. This place is the real deal and a must stop and eat when you're in the Chandler AZ area. The name definitely fits because this place is tucked away in a corner, but I'm here to tell you that you don't want to miss it. The food almost feels like fusion, but between Americanized Chinese and traditional Chinese. Dishes like lo mein or mongolian beef are done really well, packing lots of flavor without excessive sweetness. The lo mein is 100% the standout for me, even the plain version as a side has an unmatched savoriness and wok hei (roughly meaning char/smokiness) that leaves me genuinely craving more. There are a few different regions showcased here, from the various Chinese (Szechuan, Cantonese) to Hong Kong and even Thailand and Vietnam. I've only tried the Chinese/Hong Kong stuff but it's all been so good and satisfying. Other than the lo mein, we enjoy the house special chicken (which maintains crispiness even after driving home), eggplant with tofu, and the creamy corn and chicken soup. Definitely planning to try more of the soups like their wonton soup since the weather is getting colder outside. Online ordering is a breeze and the food is ready quickly. I used to really like this place before they raised their prices so much- $15.50 for basic Chinese chicken dishes and $17.50 for Thai curry means the value isn't there any more, especially for what is essentially a hole in the wall takeout joint. Asian Corner cafe has a cool, new vibe inside with sleek tables and a large screen TV at their ordering counter. There is plenty of room to eat in, but there is the option to order out as well. We decided to order in and they have a diverse lunch menu. The menu is a mix of Thai and Chinese dishes. I decided to get their broccoli beef, which came with a soup. Their soup is made fresh daily and changes daily as well. Unfortunately the soup of the day had tofu, so I was unable to eat it. I passed on the soup, but not my meal. The broccoli beef was absolutely delicious and was such a generous portion. It was difficult for me to believe that what the waitress sat down in front of me was lunch! I took my first bite and I was in heaven. The sauce was a nice mix of spice and salt and just delighted all of my taste buds!! They gave a generous serving of broccoli, beef, and carrots. I was able to eat off of my lunch for the rest of the day--into dinner as well. The service was great as well as we were checked on and I felt appreciated.
