We went there for a massage I explained that my daughter wanted a 1 hour massage. Well, after 30 minutes, the massage person came out and talked me out of a one hour massage to 30 minutes, a 30 minute massage cost me $40 whereas a 1 hour was $60. Obviously a better deal I am thinking that she went for the biggest bang for the buck and didn't want to only make $20 for another 30 minutes of massaging where she had already made $40 for the first 30 minutes Anyways, besides that, she was on the phone and this, not attending to the needs and desires of the customer. I went here 3 times. Very beautiful elegant environment, special oriental music, rooms are neat and sheets are clean. masseuses are professional, always found right spots to work on. I went to the one on East Avenue when they first opened and it was the worse experience. I had a gift certificate for a massage and they didn't know what it was so the workers started calling someone else on their cell phone who did not speak English well so there was no understandings at all during the whole time I was there. When I made it to the room, there was a small towel to drape over me. There was no blanket or sheet. The towel barely covered my private parts so they had to grab another small towel. Helen provided an amazing massage! :) I am a relocating massage therapist from Long Beach CA. I just moved here & have been here for less than 14 days. After the travel and the move etc I was in deep need of body work. I looked up a lot of places but Helen had a great rate ($60 for an hr!) she was very friendly with an immediate availability. I'm very picky and have a lot of scar tissue, that for some, is hard to work with. Most people don't really know how to massage me. Helen was amazing, very strong and very knowledgeable. She was open to listening to what I needed and was able to get through the scar tissue to help give me the relief I needed by using a combo of shiatzu, myofascial release, deep tissue, circulatory & pressure point release. They even had bars on the overhead in case you want them to walk on your back! The place is beautiful, clean and inviting. 100% will go back here again. Nice, relaxing massage at a good price, and I got right in without an appointment. Downsides are: There is no one around that speaks more than a few words of English, so if you need to communicate, you won't be able to. And, tipping is virtually required, and essentially increases the price of the service by $10, since the lady is, I think, the owner and not an employee. Also, since she's the only person there, she ends up running out of the room if anyone shows up at the door, which is an annoying disturbance. The massages are great but none of these girls know English which is ok except for their sign out front says $35 and after I got my massage they expected $45 and I couldn't understand why, plus they expected me to give them a $10 tip which I was not expecting to spend that much money when I went in there. Overall experience was ok. I scheduled an appointment for 2 people and we were seen as soon as we arrived. We were instructed to get down to our birthday suits and get under the towels in preparation for the service. The music sounded too poppy to be soothing and the massage itself was nothing spectacular. Just a lot of general rubbing, not much detail work. At one point I didn't know whether the masseuse was adjusting the sheet on my back or flapping it to make a bed, but she definitely got the full moon view. Decent massage for the price. The place was completely empty and the massage lady was able to start me immediately when I walked in without an appointment. It was a rather light massage, didn't really get deep into any of the muscles. I am not sure it did much for my body. Some things were a little odd such as pulling on my hair and pushing on my back. But for the most part, it was nice and relaxing. I didn't like being hassled to give a bigger tip after than what I was already giving. But the place is clearly lacking customers. read more

I was in town visiting family and decided to try this place. It was the worst experience I've ever had getting a massage and I get them regularly, trying many places. The sign outside said 1 hour massage for $35. When I questioned the woman on the price, she said $45. I should have run then. She hammered into me for one hour with relentless pressure to the point of pain doing nothing I recognized as being real massage. It felt mostly tense, rushed, and painful. Afterward, she scrubbed me down with scratchy towels and told me it was over. She left the room and I got up and attempted to get dress and then all of a sudden she came back into the room when I was standing there buck naked. It was mortified and she just scrubbed my arms with towels as I stood there awkwardly. When I went to pay, I gave her $60 in cash, expecting change and she acted liked she expected to keep the rest for her tip. I said "can I have $5 back?" She went in the back ackwardly for awhile and finally returned with my change. Horrible experience. Stay away from this place read more

Very good massage, the only thing is that the ladies do not speak much English. The first time I went in there was a guy working and he asked what I wanted. The second time I came in, asked for a massage, they sent me in and charged the highest price(I had walked in based on the $35/hr special on the sign outside). It was my fault, I realize, for not vocalizing exactly what I wanted so I came in a third time and it was a bit hard to communicate with the ladies (I asked for a foot massage and they ushered me into the back massage room before a very confusing 5 minute conversation about what I wanted). Might I suggest to the owner a sheet for customers to check off exactly what they want, including prices? Otherwise, I've had delightful back and foot massages and will be coming back for more! read more

Worst massage experience ever. Multiple times during the message I told the lady working on me that she was going too hard on my shoulders and neck. She continued to be very aggressive. Did not speak any English what so ever. When it came time to pay, she basically forced me to give her a $10 tip when that amount was not deserved. Yes 5 star. Everything about this massage business is fantastic . First when you walk in you are greeted by a very freindly staff and clean comfortable waiting area. Always offered cold water and candy if I have to wait (seldom do). Then you are taken to a very clean soft lighted room to prepare for the best massage I have ever had (I've had many all over the world). Then prepare yourself for as close to heaven on earth as you can find. Nothing in Chico comes close. I have my favorite and I hate to name her as I'm sure she will become so popular I won't be able to get in to her but she is so good and so lovely I will. Her name is Susan. All therapist are good but Susan's hands are so talented I wish I could figure out a way to bottle them and sell them. This is a 5 star plus and must go salon. My husband and I just walked in today for a couples massage. They took us right in. It was great in my opinion. Lynn was working on me. She was great at making sure the pressure she was using wasn't too hard. It hurt a little, but it was the good kind of pain. My muscles in my upper back were extremely tight and Lynn worked them right out. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because during our massage the older women who was working on my husband kept leaving the room for a couple seconds when ever the doors rang in the lobby, this happened three or four times. Any way, we both agreed that what you get for the $45 was very fair. And we did not mind leaving the $10 suggested tip for each massage, it was worth it.
