I am so disappointed with my recent experience with her. I asked to go blonde and she confirmed that she can do it if I buy box dyes and bring it in. During the process she directly put bleach onto my scalp like it was shampoo and the box dye later. It was the most painful thing Ive ever experienced and I got severe chemical burns on my scalp. Scabs all over, cysts popping, it felt like a hot pan was put all over my head. She said she knew what she was doing but she clearly doesn't. So not only did she mess my hair up but she also body shamed me and said "It looks like you've" gained weight". I was in complete shock when I heard her say that, a customer should never be talked to like that. I was so hurt I started crying and I wanted to leave but I couldn't because I had bleach sitting all over my hair. I have been personally going through body issues myself trying to workout everyday and eat healthy but hearing that really disappointed me. She then told me, "No I didn't call you fat, I just said it looked like you gained weight", that doesn't even make sense. Later she tried to tell me that I need to learn to forgive people because they make mistakes like she did, she also tried to make me feel better by saying that people call her skinny and that she always tells her daughter that she gained weight. Honestly I have no other words with how horrible that hair experience was and I'm saving you with the this review. A hair salon experience should be a place where you feel confident and enjoy yourself, instead I got the complete opposite from Jenny and severally burned. Definitely never returning. I couldn't understand everything, but it was clear from the tone and the words used that they were not happy and I heard something along the lines of "cheap." Tipping should always be appreciated but not demanded or enforced. Unfortunately that interaction at the end took away from what was otherwise a good massage. I was uncomfortable so I left them $24 tip $15 tip on a $40 service is 37.5%. That's actually a very generous tip. Luckily, after all those years, I have found Dr. Ngo, who can fix my problem, and she's super nice, knowledgeable . After the second appointments, I can see my skin starts to get a lot better. The scars are smaller/filled up and some even gone. I'm so so happy with the results. Her assistant is nice, her office is clean, and she has lots of plants around the office.
