I am so disappointed with my recent experience with her. I asked to go blonde and she confirmed that she can do it if I buy box dyes and bring it in. During the process she directly put bleach onto my scalp like it was shampoo and the box dye later. It was the most painful thing Ive ever experienced and I got severe chemical burns on my scalp. Scabs all over, cysts popping, it felt like a hot pan was put all over my head. She said she knew what she was doing but she clearly doesn't. So not only did she mess my hair up but she also body shamed me and said "It looks like you've" gained weight". I was in complete shock when I heard her say that, a customer should never be talked to like that. I was so hurt I started crying and I wanted to leave but I couldn't because I had bleach sitting all over my hair. I have been personally going through body issues myself trying to workout everyday and eat healthy but hearing that really disappointed me. She then told me, "No I didn't call you fat, I just said it looked like you gained weight", that doesn't even make sense. Later she tried to tell me that I need to learn to forgive people because they make mistakes like she did, she also tried to make me feel better by saying that people call her skinny and that she always tells her daughter that she gained weight. Honestly I have no other words with how horrible that hair experience was and I'm saving you with the this review. A hair salon experience should be a place where you feel confident and enjoy yourself, instead I got the complete opposite from Jenny and severally burned. Definitely never returning. Not a hello, not a "how are you", just "what do you want." I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so I just assumed that she was tired, she didn't mean it that way, or something happened before me. But no, she was the most condescending and rude person I've ever met in the service business. Her scissors were snapping my hair, not cutting, and she was yanking at my hair with her hands and the comb like it was a knotted mess. I take great pride in how smooth my hair is, so I KNOW there were no knots. Again, benefit of the doubt (maybe she was having an off day), and I'm also not inclined to argue so long as the result looks good. Which brings me to another thing. Before asking if that was what I was looking for, she took the cape off. I asked if she could cut it even shorter and she rolled her eyes at me, threw her head back, and asked "Why didn't you just tell me 2 inches EARLIER?" I did tell her two inches, and she showed me three. I didn't want to argue with the expert, so I said let's go with one for now (and she showed me two inches). I did double check at home and realized her inches were off. I actually went to a ruler and measured. But I also make it a point not to be rude to the ones doing me a service, so I didn't argue about it. It was at this point, I realized she was likely not having an off day and that this was her personality. She had me out of the chair in less than fifteen minutes, no goodbye and no "have a nice day", and she snatched the tip out of my hands. At first, I was just content to leave it alone. Her service personality is terrible, but at least she did a good job, right? No, because when I came out, my brother saw the back of my head and asked if it was supposed to look so rough. I had jagged lengths and uneven layers in the back. I had to go home and fix what I could. I came to the conclusion that she wanted me out of the chair as soon as possible regardless of whether it looked good or not. To be fair in my own judgement, I gave my cut a few days to get used to it and I styled it different ways before giving this review. It's acceptable, but disappointingly so. In conclusion, I would not take Coco if you have/are a sensitive person and/or you are unsure of what you want. She wants you to be decisive and doesn't seem to care for any sort of politeness.
