Origin Coffee Bar was the last coffee shop I visited in Savannah and I honestly wish it had been the first so I could have gone more than once. It's a large shop with minimalist decor and lots of natural light. Staff are kind, there is a good food menu with lots of options and a lot of coffee/beverage options too. Nice amount of seating as well. I went for an iced latte and had their caprese toast and yogurt bowl. The caprese toast was so good and tasty with the pesto on top. The iced latte was solid, a nice balance in the espresso. Definitely a great spot for a quick pick me up or to stay a while.

Great coffee bar in Savannah. I can't believe it took me so long to visit. I met up with a few friends to get some work done, and this place is perfect for a change of setting for those who work from home. It does get busy, so it may be hard to take meetings, but the layout is perfect. Parking can be tricky, but there is a garage nearby. The Turkish eggs are SO good. I'll be going back just for that. It a surprisingly filling dish for a coffee shop, but that works for me. In glad this place had actually food items instead of just pastries. There's a mix of seating options for groups or one person, which was great to see. Lovely space, can't wait to go back.

Seasonal chocolate coconut amaretto latte

This place is gorgeous inside and has a good amount of seating, though for parking you'll have to find a spot on the street. The staff was very kind and the coffees came out pretty quickly. I ordered a seasonal flavor that has chocolate, coconut, and amaretto. Unfortunately I couldn't taste much of those flavors, but the coffee was very smooth and still tasty. I appreciate that they make their own syrups here and the food menu looked good too.

The line is long and out of the store, so I had high hope. The croissant is hard and doughy. It's supposed to be flaky and light instead. The matcha latte is decent, but the matcha flavor is not strong enough. The Danish is the best of them all. Overall an underwhelming experience.

We came here on Sunday for a quick coffee & light breakfast. It was our first time here & the staff was so friendly and helpful. I ordered a sf vanilla latte and my husband got the Dubai chocolate matcha. Both were great! We have tried so many coffee shops in Savannah & still haven't found our favorite. Today I think we found our favorite! Coffee was great & the ambiance was peaceful. My husband got the sausage burrito and really enjoyed it. He appreciated the portion size was normal & not humongous. Overall, highly recommend Origin! I can't wait to come back!!

My friend and I stopped by here after our long drive from Virginia. The coffee here .... is phenomenal according my friends! The matcha here... DELICIOUS! It wasn't too sweet and not too milky, everything was just right! The space is big. Service was great! They do have the most considerate restroom i've ever seen. It has tampons, pads, diapers with various sizes and also uncented wipe and a changing space for babies with soft "mattress". Would deff come back here!

I lucked out on having this be the closest coffee spot to my hotel (The Cambria) because it was amazing. I stopped in on a friday morning and they were busy. I checked the menu online so I knew I could order there so I did that instead of waiting in line. While I waited for my order I admired how open and well lit the place was plus all the different seating options for having a meeting, catching up with your bff, or getting some solo work done. Things we tried: -Newport matcha -York flat white -Miel -Blackberry pumpkin toast Everything was great but the toast was so good! They use a house made sourdough, ricotta and mascarpone cheese, honey, pumpkin seeds and the most delicious and plump blackberries. I appreciated the unique coffee drinks and the matcha was amazing. I've always wanted to try one of the fun looking matcha drinks and now I feel like I'll be spoiled on that one because I might be disappointed in all future matches.

Stopped by Origin Coffee Bar in Savannah during a girls trip, and it surprisingly lived up to the hype. I usually don't buy into what I see online, but this place deserves the attention it's getting. We all got the blueberry matcha, which was refreshing. The matcha flavor isn't strong at all, barely any matcha as you can see by how milky the drink looks, but it was still tasty. The real star of the show was the Turkish eggs. I wanted something protein-heavy, and this dish delivered with perfectly cooked eggs over creamy Greek yogurt, chili oil, and toasted bread. I still think about it all the time and am already counting down the days until I can come back for it. The cashier and baristas weren't very friendly or talkative, just there to do their jobs. The cafe itself has a lot of seating, but with how busy it gets, they could definitely use more.

Found this place by chance on yelp and so glad I did. Was in Savannah for 3 days and stopped in everyday and on the way out. We ordered the cherry mocha and Eden's tonic daily from their seasonal menu, and I'm still thinking about those drinks a couple of weeks later. Definitely a must try. I AM OBSESSED! Not kidding- I've been here for 7 straight days. The first interaction I had was with a young man behind the counter. Once he found out it was my first time here, he went above and beyond and ran through the menu with me. He was a true gem to this establishment, I wish I could've gotten his name. All of the employees have been very kind. The coffee here is delicious. My favorite is the iced miel. Their coffee cups are also so cute! Definitely on trend and they're made with recycled materials. As far as food goes they have a diverse menu. They carry pastries from auspicious and have a few different toasts. My favorites have been the Turkish eggs (though I do wish they were more consistent. I've gotten them three times and it hasn't tasted the same all three times) I do wish they were more spicy, but nonetheless they're yummy. I also love the burritos. I'm a huge fan! Final Verdict: if I'm obsessed, I think you would be too! This is a local small business and their entire brand is amazing. If you haven't checked them out please do. For coffee and food, the prices are standard and they use good quality ingredients. They are expanding to Hilton head, I think we will see great things from this business! 5/5

I've been getting coffee here for about a year (an iced chai to be exact) and it is so so so good. I also love their coffee cake muffins. Everything I've had here has been really good. Today I went in to do some work on my computer and got a bacon and egg sandwich and an iced chai. I got my sandwich but after 20 minutes of no drink I eventually went up and asked and they said they had forgotten to make it. They made it right away and gave me a coupon for a free drink. Incredibly good! Expresso pours are out of this world! The pourovers pull out subtle flavors, which is sometimes hit or miss. Absolutely a great place to sit on the laptop for a stretch and work on the laptop. Morning that clean chique look than a comfortable groovy dive. Huge windows letting in lots of light. Plenty of plugs. read more

This place is so gorgeous!! I wish I could've copy and pasted it in my area so that I wouldn't have to go to Savannah to have this slice of heaven. The coffee is cheap but delicious. And the toasts were spectacular as well!! I got the strawberry ricotta and that was delicious! The prosciutto toast was also AMAZING. Service was great as well so thank you to the staff. This is by far my favorite coffee shop to study at. It is so bright and the food & coffee is always good. The owners are there often and talk to everyone. Another huge plus is you can tell they actually listen to and respect their employees unlike some of the other coffee shops I study at. I never feel rushed out of a spot. The only suggestion I have is to turn the heat on now that it's cold because the building is so cold sometimes. Overall though 10/10 place, coffee, staff, study spot, owners! read more

I visited the coffee bar while I was waiting to check into my stay and it was perfect. The service was friendly and helpful. I had the shoreline and it was delicious, I really enjoyed it! It was the perfect place to get some work done while enjoying some coffee and pastry. I also had a cinnamon roll was amazing! Overall, I will be back the next chance I can get. The drinks and food are very delicious. I got their caprese toast and it was so good, a bit expensive in my opinion I mean $14 for a toast with tomato, mozzarella and pesto is a bit much for me. But it was very tasty. We also got coffee bags to bring home and loved both blends. It was beautiful and clean and the staff is very nice. We will be back! read more

Got the ham and cheese croissant and it was very good but the seasonal cold brew coffee with a sweet cream and orange something or other was literally to die for. I regret not finding this place until we were leaving. I would have had like 2 a day. Super friendly staff, very clean, and their plants are living their best life (for plant lovers). read more

I was hoping to fall I love with this place. Sadly, I will not be back. The cream Brulé, three times a week cappuccino that they have was one of the worst coffees I've had in Savannah. The only good thing I can say is that they got with auspicious bakery and the Wildberry pop tart that they had from auspicious was delicious. But they have very little to do with that. read more

Proudly started as a humble mobile bar and door-to-door coffee delivery duo, Origin Coffee Bar is fueled by a commitment to focusing on the good in our top-tier specialty coffee, authentic homemade food, inspiring environment, and through the people that make our community.

Meet the Business Owner: Matt H.

We are a husband and wife team that is dedicated to serving up excellent caffeinated experiences. When we got married, we searched high and low for a mobile coffee bar to no avail; this was the initial inspiration for Origin. With a resume of creative entrepreneurship, there was not much holding us back. We love people, we love coffee, and we love a good party. In our lives, we wanted to intersect our love of coffee and desire to serve the needs of our community. That’s why a portion of our proceeds and our time go to serving our houseless community in Savannah, GA. It is our joy to serve a variety of events in Savannah and throughout the United States. Our shop, mobile coffee bar, and professional baristas provide a unique experience that is guaranteed to impress. Much love & see you soon!

They commissioned a Savannah native, an artist who goes by the name of JuLu (you've probably seen her work before all around town) to paint the body of the bar. When you see her work, you know it's her. There is a striking red espresso machine, floating shelves on the wall behind the coffee bar, and the furniture, simple and classic. Their cream and sugar station is super cool too. Has the look of old deposit boxes or those library index card system things. I don't know if the drawers actually open, but really neat looking. In terms of seating, for now, there are 2 chairs with a coffee table in one corner and a large dining table to seat larger groups that occupies most of the space. Management informed me that they were getting a counter top that they will be installing in the near future for the back wall for people flying solo. Definitely their most popular items anyway. They also use Perc Coffee and they have a small showcase of baked goods from their bakery, Henny Penny, for all of their locations. They had a limited selection today of muffins and kolaches, about 2 flavors of each. It is opening day, so I'm sure the quantities and variety will change as the amount of traffic increases. Matcha Latte - I don't know why I haven't ever had this before at any of their locations, but this is definitely my new favorite! I ordered it with whole milk and it came with a pretty milk foam art design on top. Matcha can be pretty bitter, but it was just the right amount. Zucchini Muffin - It is no secret that I love the stuff that Henny Penny Cafe dishes out (can I get an Amen on their vegan donuts?!). I just love how wholesome all of their items taste, like a recipe your mom would make. I loved how dense this muffin was and it was delicious. I devoured it in the car as I drove back home. While the atmosphere was nice and the outside seating was a pleasant touch, my experience was marred by some serious issues with the service. My husband's espresso was forgotten for 20 minutes, which is a pretty significant oversight. He had to ask them to make it, which wasn't ideal. Meanwhile, my own order was also incorrect - I had ordered an iced vanilla latte, but was given a hot one instead. This was disappointing, but I still accepted it because it looked delicious. On the plus side, the cashier was amazing and personable. Ultimately, while the flavor of the coffee was good, the overall experience was far from ideal. Given the mix-ups with our orders and the relatively quiet atmosphere (which makes the delays even more baffling), I can't say that I would rush back to this coffee shop. read more
