I could only tell you so much until you taste the freshness. The Cesar salad is so green and rich in dressing and healthy leafy flavors. The chicken teriyaki bowl is so tasty. A plentiful meal made to make you comfortably full. The açaí bowl is rich in flavor and great for a hot summer day. I actually prefer the PB & J yogurt over this one. Great vegetarian/vegan options with friendly staff. When we meant to order a side of hummus, they gave us a hummus sandwich instead. We told them about the issue & they kept trying to refund us. The restaurant was new and clean. Service was good and their Covid-19 protocol made it feel very safe to eat here. The menu has a lot of options but at the same time is pretty simple easy to navigate. This was my first time coming and I got the spicy Korean beef bowl with brown rice. (And I don't know why they should...THEY did their job. The restaurant didn't bother to notify anyone that they couldn't fulfill the order!) This place is so cute! There's plenty of seating. I got the Green Curry Tofu Protein Bowl and the portion is a pretty good size. It filled me up even though I got the tofu option. The sweet potato hash was also really good with the green curry; they cut the sweet potato into tiny cubes. My only criticism is that the tofu tasted bland. I had signed up for the email list pretty early and, as a result, got a coupon for two free meals! We rolled up to ChopShop and presented the coupon and were told by the cashier that there was a misprint and the coupon should have expired much before the date on the coupon (which said it expired in July). Since I hadn't received any emails recalling the coupon or saying that the date was wrong, I felt that I should still be able to redeem my coupon and the cashier went to talk to her manager. The manager came out, looked at my coupon, and proceeded to just take our order without even mentioning this mysterious misprint! So if anyone else has a coupon, just make sure you use it before the expiration date. My boyfriend ordered the sweet soy sesame steak on brown rice and I ordered the red chili lime shrimp. Both were very flavorful and came with perfectly roasted vegetables! The brown rice in both of our bowls wasn't very cooked though, which put a bit of a dent in the experience. I've been to another Original ChopShop location before. I absolutely love the BBQ Chicken Salad, it's my go-to salad. I also love the lemonade here. The first time I came to this location, I was dining in (before COVID-19). My date and I came for lunch. I was served my lunch and we were waiting for my date to get his lunch. 20 minutes had passed and the waiter that served my lunch asked if we were still waiting on my date's lunch. We said yes and he immediately went to go find out what happened. He came back with the correct order and apologized for the delay. My date's lunch got mixed in the orders and was never made. On top of the apology, we received 2 free entrees on our next visit. We were ecstatic! Fast forward now during COVID-19. We placed an order through the phone to pick up our food. Placing the order through the phone was easy and fast! When we arrived to pick up our food, our food was ready. We showed the man behind the register our 2 free entree coupon and he said he would give us our drinks for free on top of the 2 free entrees. We told him, no let us pay for our drinks since our meal was already free. He insisted because he knew we received the coupons due to an issue from our prior visit. How thoughtful!! I was finally able to try the power breakfast bowl and it was amazing! I would say a little overpriced at 9.50 for the bowl. I have also had some of their dinners here too and they seem to be pretty good and fresh. I'm so glad there is finally a healthy food restaurant with quality protein in Las Colinas! The interior is very clean and contemporary. The pieces of chicken were chopped up into bite sizes. There was a generous amount of peanuts in it to add a little crunch. I love that there were a lot of vegetables in it as well. So happy to have more healthy casual restaurants in Las Colinas! This is another great addition for the lunch crowd. The inside looks open, clean, and that modern farmhouse look. We went at 1pm on a Tuesday and there were tons of seating and parking. We ordered the red chili shrimp bowl with sweet potato hash and the kale Caesar salad with chicken. Both were great. The salad was fresh, not overly doused in dressing, and just a generally good basic salad. The bowl's shrimp was perfectly done and not dry, generally a good bowl. The only complaint we had was the portion was definitely on the small side with the price point but maybe with all these new restaurants, it's time to get used to different lunch prices when you want to eat healthier. We also ordered an oatmeal toffee cookie which was nice and soft in the middle. They really cater to the healthy crowd, they don't offer generic soda, only 4 options of craft soda. They also had 4 options for specialty flavored iced tea. I'm an iced tea fanatic anyways so I loved being able to try different flavors. Overall it's a great lunch option in the area if you don't want food coma and you want more healthy options than your typical fast casual. read more

Love the diversity of healthy options here. There's something for everyone and it's become my go to lunch spot. Have tried: Beet salad - Probably my favorite dish. Fresh beets and apples slices and goat cheese - and you can add any protein you want. The shrimp is really good, perfectly grilled and super juicy. Protein bowl - Wasn't a fan of the sauce for the Korean steak - it was too sweet. But the green curry tofu was yummy, especially with the sauce. For the base, didn't love the forbidden rice, so sweet potato hash tends to be my go to choice although also not 100% in love, sweet potato is not as fully cooked as I prefer. Bowls can be personalized to add things like avocado / anything you see in other bowls. Also, while bowls look small, they are surprisingly filling. Unfortunately, they're not super consistent - one bowl may have noticeably more chicken or avocado than another identical order. Chia pudding - Man that stuff was so addicting, it can't be good for you! Zen bowl - They scramble the mushrooms / spinach in the egg which was wonderful, although personally I like my eggs runnier than served here. Still a pretty delicious breakfast option. Moroccan Turkey - Super delicious sandwich option. Generous amount of avocado really complements the fresh turkey and greens / grapes. Yogurt sauce brings it all together. Chicken prosciutto - Disappointing, wasn't a fan of the prosciutto slices and probably my least favorite item I've gotten here. Also tried their juices which were good, with a prominent taste of citrus (lime). Only complaint is inconsistency in portion sizes and frequency with which they mess up my orders. Hopefully these kinks will get worked out over time. Otherwise excited to continue exploring more of their menu! read more

Yelpers let us down on this one. Don't order the grilled steak sandwich. The steak didn't have good flavor, it was grisly and there wasn't much of it. Doesn't matter, I only could eat a few bites. My buddies chicken rice bowl had dried out vegetables, clumps of dried rice and no way to cut up the vegetables. You get a plastic fork and paper bowls, zero service and get your own drink for 20 plus dollars. Contrast that with the excellent meal at Mexican Sugar for $25. Bottom line, go elsewhere. read more

However, I realize that providing fresh and healthier food is more expensive than a highly processed preservative ridden alternative, but OCS could be a little more generous with the portions for what they charge. Great lunch option when you're in the Irving area. They have online ordering for when you're in a rush! So far, I've had the red chili lime shrimp bowl, hummus/veggie wrap and the chicken and prosciutto wrap. I'd say their bowls and sandwiches are the best value. My favorite is definitely the Chicken and Proscuitto wrap (I subbed the wrap but it usually comes on ciabatta bread). You can sub a whole wheat wrap on their sandwiches for no charge. The staff is consistently nice and courteous. They also have a nice selection of teas at their beverage bar. I noticed that their bev bar was a little messy, but it was after lunch rush so I won't ding them for it. All in all, Original ChopShop is a healthy, consistent option for lunch in Irving. I used to order from this location all the time, but it's been mediocre at best lately. The bowls are consistently missing ingredients..eggs, less chicken, avocado, etc. I pay extra for the forbidden rice because I love the taste. But it's been hard as a rock. This place is ok. I got the grinder sandwich. It had a salami in it that is so hard to eat that the meat pulls out of the sandwich with every bite. My son loves this place.
