We went for Father's Day lunch and had a lovey experience. The staff were lovely and the restaurant itself was beautiful. My only complaint was the noise level. As most brunch/lunch spots are on Sunday it was hard to hear the others at my table. Food was good too. The deviled eggs were good but didn't stand out, would probably skip next time. We got the black truffle pizza which was great. It was PLENTY of food even split between 2 people. It had a great flavor and the crust was to die for. The omelet was good too. It was the CPT which had a lovely pancetta flavor. By far the BEST part of our meal was dessert. The key lime pie was Incredible. The gram cracker crust was clearly fresh and had lime zest in it. The pie filling was bright, punchy, and deliciously creamy. And to top it all off the toasted meringue was no too sweet and added an extra texture that made this dessert absolutely decadent. The quality and quantity of the food here for the price was fantastic and we will definitely be back. The surrounding area is cute too. Overall a great spot I'd highly recommend. read more

Finally checked this location off my list and it was worth the wait. The place was well organized and is a great lunch or dinner spot. The staff were very friendly and attentive. For our appetizer, we went for the crab and parmesan dip. The dip was chunky and definitely had crab in it. I appreciated the quantity of the dip, and the butter-toasted bread to dip was everything. Somehow, by chance, we received a complimentary tasting of the deviled eggs. I was excited since this had been another option I had my eyes on. Not bad; I loved the thick-cut bacon piece on top, but the sharpness of the onion was a bit overwhelming and took over the bite. For my meal, I went with the short beef rib, and everything about this plate was delicious. From the poblano queso to the tenderness of the beef topped with mole, all of which were so compatible, I'm surprised I was able to stop eating!!! My other half went for the beef tip sliders, not too crazy on the wow factor, and the dip helped soak your slider to have not just additional flavor but some moistness back to the beef. His side of fries were overwhelming but tasty and enjoyed the assortment of sauces. Plates are large so expect leftovers or possibly sharing. We stopped in on a Tuesday evening and it was busy! Our group of 5 sat at a booth, definitely a little tight but we made it work. We ordered drinks - mine was the buzz - and I really enjoyed it! For food, I ordered their featured fish of the day, which was blackened mahi, and it came with mashed potatoes and a side, which I chose the veggie of the day (green beans). Food and drinks were great! My only complaint was that it was pretty cold in the restaurant and we were all shivering the whole meal. It was also pretty loud, which is a testament to the popularity of the restaurant, but it was a little hard to hear. We made reservations to come here on a Friday evening. After driving around for ten minutes in the disaster of a parking lot/garage, we finally found a parking spot. Whoever designed the parking garages and lots around there did not think through the design very well. We got seated immediately. The place has fun art on the walls, especially by the bathrooms. Our server was very attentive. They did have a kids meal for my 10yo, we just had to ask for it. She ordered the pasta with cream sauce. It was really good and just the right portion size for her. My husband and I shared a pepperoni pizza and Ceasar salad. The Ceasar salad was really good. I like that they chopped the greens up very fine and tossed the salad in the dressing. It wasn't over dressed or soggy. The pizza was cooked perfectly. My husband's only wish was that it had more cheese. I would have preferred that the toppings go put further to create a smaller crust portion. read more

The pork chop here is one of the best I've had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly, which is not easy for a thick cut like that! The cream sauce was delectable and I think the coleslaw makes the perfect side (the mash would've been great on the side, too). My wife got the filet mignon, also cooked perfectly, and we liked all the sides. They have a little patio area, which is always something I appreciate, and the service was pretty good, too. Cork & Pig Tavern has become a mainstay in Irving's Water Street district. This restaurant is one of the original anchor restaurants, and today it continues to serve great drinks and food. This is a long overdue review. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - I'm writing this review in October when the weather in Texas is amazing because Cork & Pig Tavern has outdoor patio seating. If you want a guaranteed spout outside, make sure you specify it in your reservation (powered by Resy). Lunch on a Friday wasn't very busy, but on my Saturday night visit, the restaurant was packed both inside and out. A busy restaurant is a good sign. 1 Star. Service - Every single visit to Cork & Pig Tavern has had great service. The staff are friendly and attentive. And while I specified patio seating on my reservation, we decided to eat inside. The front of the house made it happen with no issues and all smiles. 1 Star. Food - I started by meal with Deviled Eggs with Bacon. The plating was beautiful, and at first, I didn't want to mess up the plate, but that thought left my mind as soon as I took a bite into the tasty, deviled egg. It was nice and creamy, and the bacon gave it a hint of salt and smoke. But the real star of Cork & Pig are the pizzas. These wood fired pizzas will give any Neapolitan style pizza joint a run for its money. The Smoked Mozzarella and Pancetta pizza was absolute perfection. The smoked mozzarella gets to shine on this white pizza. The dough has a nice earthy flavor resulting in the perfect pizza for me. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Full Disclosure I paid a visit to Cork & Pig two days in a row and ordered the same pizza. I'm only disappointed I didn't discover how good the pizza was until recently. Great ambiance inside. Lots of windows so the lighting was really nice. They had a lot of things on the menu that looked really good. It was hard for me to make up my mind on what I wanted. I ended up getting the crispy chicken sandwich and for my side, I chose the vegetable of the day which was broccolini. The broccolini was delicious!!! I highly recommend ordering it. My chicken sandwich came with cheese on it which I wasn't used to. It was good but I think I'll order it without cheese in the future. The waiters were all very nice and helpful. Ambiance: Located right outside of the Los Colinas river walk. The outdoor patio was very large and shaded by mature trees. The inside of the restaurant was very modern, bright, and clean. On that Saturday morning, the inside of the restaurant was pretty empty, and the patio was packed because it was such a nice day! Food: My husband and I decided to order off of the lunch menu. I had a great experience here recently when in town for a work related event. Came here for dinner with my manager. Everything on the menu looked so good! It was hard to decide. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I got a glass of white wine and ordered the fish of the day special which was a red fish with a creole sauce. (Did not find out until later that it was $48 which seems high!) However, it was delicious! Came with the veggie of the day of side of your choice. Everything was cooked perfectly. It's not in a great spot for everyone to see, but better than nothing. The bartenders were both friendly and checked in with me throughout my dinner. I started with an Old Fashioned and a Caesar Salad. The drink was great but definitely on the pricey side. The salad was the perfect size to have before a meal. I ordered the pork chop and mashed potatoes but they brought Mac and cheese instead. It looked so good that I didn't even correct them and I enjoyed it anyway. The pork chop was cooked nicely and the portion size was huge. Overall, pretty cool vibe and solid menu. The menu isn't massive but they offered a variety. I stopped into Cork & Pig for dinner with my husband last week and am still marveling at the next-level service. We sat on the patio to enjoy happy hour: a mocktail for me (a seasonal special with passionfruit and fresno chile), an old-fashioned for him, the deviled eggs (delish so long as you like a mustard-forward bite), and the cheesy spinach-artichoke dip. We then split the New Yorker sandwich, which was the least special dish of the night, but still tasty. What set the evening apart from a standard B+ gastropub experience was our delightful waiter Eddie. He noticed that I had a terrible case of laryngitis and dropped off an unsolicited to-go cup of healing elixir (chamomile tea + lemon wedges + honey) before we departed. Came to Cork & Pig Tavern on a busy Saturday night and overall had a good experience. We ordered the French Dip, the Wood Fired Chicken, and a side of fries. The French Dip was really tasty -- I especially liked the Gruyère cheese. I usually expect Swiss with a French Dip, but the Gruyère was a great change-up and added a nice depth of flavor. I got the parm mashed potatoes as a side, which were fine but nothing too special. The Wood Fired Chicken was flavorful and cooked well. I ordered the mushroom cream sauce on the side, which ended up being the right move since the sauce is pretty heavy. Having it on the side let me control the richness, and the mashed potatoes that came with it were a nice complement. The fries were also solid -- crispy and seasoned just right. The restaurant was busy, and while the food was on point, the service could have been better. Our waiter wasn't very attentive, and we had to wait a while for refills, to place our order, and even had part of the order forgotten. We figured this was due to the dinner rush, but it did stand out. Despite the service hiccups, the food and ambiance made it an enjoyable visit. With a name like cork and pig..it had to be good! Received this rec from a colleague while in the area for work. A few of us popped in to grab a bite for lunch. Really loved loved the decor. Felt modern and cozy. Our waiter was great at recommendations and was very helpful with menu selections. I opted for the ceasear salad and the prosciutto and basil pizza. The pizza was GOOD! Thin, buttery crust and fresh toppings. Cesear salad was nicely dressed. Service was pretty efficient. We were able to get in and out in about an hour. It got crowded pretty quickly, so I'm glad we arrived before the lunch rush. Would visit again if I'm in the area. read more

I came here for the first time earlier this week. I sat at the bar for a half hour waiting for my date and everyone was friendly and attentive. I ordered the walking on sun cocktail and it was pretty good- im not a big drinker. The lady next to me ordered the truffle pizza and it smelled and looked amazing. I asked the ladies at the bar what entrees they recommended and they said the pork chop or the salmon. I ended up going with the salmon and it was the best seafood I've had in Dallas. I was pleasantly surprised. The crab on top was super fresh and delicious. While my food was great, my date ordered the fish and chips and wasnt impressed. The breading and fries were kind of soggy, so that was a bummer. For dessert we shared the lemon cheesecake and it was super tasty.
