Love this place. Classic or casual, you decide. Each bartender has a drink-- so cute. They have a "chocolate bag" fun dessert(looks like a shopping bag made out of chocolate with berries and shortcake) Tons of parking as it's part of a large plaza. -Hot bread rolls arrive with butter and hot honey! We made a reservation for 7 people and it was comfortable. The ambiance is candle lit, minimal lighting. My favorite was the ahi tuna starter and will definitely be ordering again. It was paired perfectly with the crunchy slaw! So fresh. -broccolini was not too salty, which is rare to find surprisingly! -we shared a plate of meatballs and kept the sauce for French fries. -we got Forrest's pomegranate martini it was pretty & just the right sweetness. A Coppell Gem That Never Disappoints! We feel so lucky to have Victor's Wood Grill as our neighborhood go-to. We've been here probably close to ten times now, and it remains a fantastic upscale spot with a welcoming, local feel. We kicked things off with cocktails--I highly recommend their Old Fashioned (made with rye whiskey) and my husband's Gin and Tonic. Both were balanced and expertly crafted. One of my favorite things about Victor's is their nightly off-menu specials. They are always seasonal and creative. I tried the Avocado Salad from the specials menu, and it was a 10/10--super fresh, perfect dressing, and they definitely didn't skimp on the avocado! My husband went with the Bistro Salad, which is a consistent winner every time. For my main, I ordered the Southern Catfish. The fish was cooked perfectly, and I absolutely loved the Frank's Red Hot butter sauce paired with the collard greens--the flavors complemented everything beautifully. My husband had the Meatloaf, and he swears it is his favorite restaurant meatloaf of all time. It was great as always and is clearly a staple for a reason! The service was top-notch, which we've come to expect here. It's rare to find a place that maintains this level of quality every single time you visit. OMG, the grilled artichoke was Delicious! I also had a 6oz filet, medium rare, cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth! Also with the peppercorn sauce! I can't wait to come back! I gave 4 only because I sat at the bar and its hard to get "great" service at the bar usually. I headed to Victor's on a date night. Sadly I don't expect to be back soon. We ordered the stuffed chicken breast and pork milanese. I enjoyed both dishes although the pork was a little on the salty side. The details at Victor's just didn't match my expectations for the price point. Smoke from the kitchen was so strong in the dining room that I felt like I was at a barbecue place. We asked to be reseated, and the host didn't know where to place us for reduced smoke. For an expensive steakhouse, I didn't feel the interior had the cozy, sexy atmosphere I expected and the menu design looked thrown together. Also, sliced baguette and butter is provided before dinner but the butter for the bread was rock hard and I had to warm it up in my hands before I could eat it on the bread. Victor's charges a fee to split dishes, something that seems rare to charge for. The service was alright but not great. When I'm looking for a pricy date night dinner, I'm not going to pick Victor's again. read more

After hearing the legend of The Meatballs--bathed in some magical cognac sauce that I imagined as a stroganoff-esque dream--I knew I had to try them. So, we rolled up right at 5 PM when they opened, only to find a small crowd already gathering like they were waiting for concert tickets. We took a quick phone call in the car, figuring we had plenty of time. Big mistake. By the time we strolled in at 5:10, the bar was completely packed. Where did these people even come from?! We were relegated to one of the three bar-area tables (fine, but not the same vibe). Now, here's what I didn't know--this place has a different list of specials every single night. Apparently, this is a big deal because the regulars were pumped. But I wasn't here for nightly specials. I was here for those damn meatballs. Since it was 5 PM, I figured it was the perfect time for a cocktail. I love a blue cheese-stuffed olive martini, and they had one on the menu. It arrived in a lovely glass, perfectly chilled, but the olive itself? Meh. Not enough blue cheese for my liking. We also got the mac and cheese (made with my fave, cavatappi pasta), and finally, The Meatballs arrived. And? They were... fine. Pretty small, not life-changing, but hey, I tried them. Mission accomplished. No urgent need to return, but if you love chasing down nightly specials like a treasure hunt, this might be your spot. read more

I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately it just wasn't the experience that I was expecting. Food : 2-3 out of 5 We ordered the pork milanese, stuffed chicken breast, and clam chowder. Both dishes came out fairly quickly and piping hot. The soup came out pretty hot, too. That was all great. Pork was cooked and seasoned well, the sauce was good, but didn't really come with a carb or any sides. It was also kind of oily. Not to mention it came on a tiny bed of veggies but for $20 I just didn't see the appeal. I'm not sure how a full grown adult would be able to fill up on this dish, thus the extra order of clam chowder on the side. (which I'll get to in a minute) The stuffed chicken breast had a goat cheese and lemon sauce which was pretty delicious. But the chicken was not "stuffed" breast. It was two thin chicken breast slabs stacked on top of each other with goat cheese sauce layered in between. That's all fine and good but it definitely shouldn't be called a stuffed chicken. The sautéed spinach was not sautéed. It was raw. That's also fine because I get that spinach wilts but it definitely wasn't sautéed and we were not expecting to eat this dish with raw spinach sprinkled on it. Our clam chowder, which I ordered because I wasn't quite full from my pork dish, was bland. Every bite of clam had sand in it, the potatoes (which varied largely in size and some were HUGE) were not consistently cooked, and for some reason their recipe included huge chunks of carrots in it which didn't work well with the clam chowder flavor. Alright, last but not least we were given some complimentary bread and butter. The bread was very nice in texture and well salted. It came out lukewarm-ish which was fine but the butter it was served with was hard as brick .. like frozen hard. We had to warm the butter in our hands while we chit chatted before we could spread it on the bread, and by this time the bread was stone cold. It was a bit frustrating. Service : 4 out of 5 The server took our order quickly and brought out our water quickly as well. We were given two glasses of water. One was a large cup and one was a small cup. The reason? Because we didn't order a drink. This seemed odd to us but ok. shrug* Service was professional and our server was well spoken. He wasn't super attentive but I don't have any complaints. He was nice. Staff were all dressed nice and they were all professional. Ambience : 2 out of 5 The dining area was so smokey from their grill that it was triggering my asthma and we ended up not staying very long or able to enjoy our meal as much as we hoped. The lighting in the front dining area was very dark but there was one door/wall that was not covered or tinted where the sunlight was shining through so it felt very harsh on our eyes. The kitchen also offers an open area with harsh lighting shining into the dark dining room. It kind of felt like we were in a dark movie theater where a large opening had daylight shining through. The location is in an old run down strip mall that looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80's. This definitely had us surprised when we got there but outer appearance isn't usually relevant so we didn't let it get to us. Parking is plentiful. Restroom is not multiple stalls, only one person at a time. They did have a unisex restroom, though so total three restrooms. :) Not sure if we would go back but definitely a place to try at least once, especially if you're local and wanna try a local dining experience. read more

Had a little birthday dinner here and Ricky was our server- he was friendly and fantastic! Victors seems to be a Coppell staple. When we arrived, the hostess seated us at a table in the corner that felt almost like it was a storage area, we politely asked to relocate- she was a little awkward and moved pretty slowly to give us a response so we were just standing in the middle of the dining room waiting for her to answer- it worked out and was fine but super awk for a few. Food: -try the artichoke, so flavorful and fun to eat. The dipping sauce was divine and the artichoke was seasoned all the way through. -the meatballs were good, loved the sauce. -we had some hot bread and buttered those slices up! -the clam chowder was meaty and hearty! -dessert was divine, we loved the crème brûlée and the chocolate cake was good but very rich! Overall a wonderful experience- Ricky took good care of us. The set up was a little tight- when you walk in the hostess stand is right there and then it immediately opens up to seating. You Cana lap see into the Kochchi which is fun but the window area had a lot of items that made it look junky and not clean (cups and ingredients all cluttered and scattered) it could be a great view if it were clean and tidy. read more

Good little spot. Located at the corner of a strip mall, lots of parking all around. We got their a little before our reservation and time and they were full, so we went to the bar to have a drink. Extremely friendly bartenders they made great gin and tonics! 5 stars for their bar. After we were seated at our table, the waiter came by and introduced himself. We started with their special lobster dumpling and they were delicious! Next we tried their green chili chicken stew and it was very good, they ran out of corn bread which was a bummer, but glad we got to try the stew. Next we split a Caesar salad and it was not good...damp lettus and just not very tasty, oh and they charge to split a salad....waiter should have mentioned. For the main course, my husband had their seafood special, the barramundi and it was nice and fresh..very good flavors. I have the pork chop and it was tasty. Our waiter disappeared for close to 20 minutes..not cool:( we order the blackberry crisp and it was good, came with scoop of ice cream. Wine list was on the smaller side. We did enjoy a bottle from the weekly special menu. Defiantly nothing fancy inside, small dining area with dated decor, dark lighting with carpet flooring....but the food was good and their prices were great. Nice date night spot. As a Coppellian it saddens me that I had been missing out on such an amazing place. My husband made reservations for 5pm for our date night. Upon arrival, we were seated right away. The ambiance of the restaurant is a bit dark and intimate, the perfect place to have a date night or anniversary dinner. I really appreciated the fact that you can see the food being prepared. For starters we ordered the shrimp cocktail. This shrimp cocktail was not like anything I have ever had, the cocktail sauce was homemade and it had some sort of salad inside which was so delicious. We also ordered the soft shell crab to share, and it was nice and crispy with a lot of flavor. For our entrees, we both ordered the Bistro Steak. The Bistro steak was the best piece of steak I have ever put in my mouth. It was so flavorful, that it melted in my mouth. It came paired with perfectly cooked asparagus and juicy cherry tomatoes. Cocktail wise I had a pineapple martini, and a lemon drop martini. Both drinks were really good, but the lemon drop was my favorite. My husband had a mule and he seemed to have enjoyed that as well. To end the night we had the chocolate bag for our dessert, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the perfect amount of sweetness to end the night. The service was amazing. Our waiter Ricky went above and beyond, making sure we were taken care of. He was friendly, gave us food recommendations, and always had a smile on his face. Overall I highly recommend this place. In town on business, we chose this place because our flight was really late, it was close, and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. I had the barramundi special, topped with a creamy crab sauce over sautéed spinach. It was perfect, almost worth another trip to DFW just for a second bite. Our first time to try Victor's. Went on a Saturday night and was able to get a table as a walk in. Our server was wonderful! Attentive without smothering us or leaving us wondering where she went. I had the meatloaf and my wife the filet. Both were excellent! We both had the Bistro salad which is a variation on the III Forks and McQuire's. My only complaint was the vinaigrette was too vinegary and thus a little too tart. We will go again. read more

We have been coming to Victor's since we moved to Coppell in 2023 and I have NEVER had a bad experience! It's a great restaurant for a date night or to bring the fam, my 2 boys love the lobsterl! I love the spinach dip, deviled eggs, wedge salad, the porkchop, the steak and shrimp special, and many more items! I suggest trying a pickle martini with Grey Goose! Bartenders Gus and Forrest are both awesome! Had the southern fired catfish last night and it may be my new favorite, see the attached picture because it'll make your mouth water! We've lived in Coppell for 20 years but never stopped by Victors but decided to have dinner for our anniversary. It was a little difficult to find the front door as it's not marked very well. Very minor inconvenience. We had a 7:00PM reservation and were seated immediately in the front room. Our server (Dominic I believe) quickly greeted us and was very helpful and attentive to our needs throughout the evening. It's a very pleasant atmosphere and relaxed environment. We ordered: Appetizers Lobster Bisque - The flavor was good but contained NO lobster or anything, just liquid. 3 stars Meatball - I ordered this based in the comments here on Yelp but I have to admit, I wasn't impressed. Granted, they are tender and taste good paired with the gravy it comes with. I just expected them to be WOW based on the reviews. 4 stars Sides Mac & Cheese - It's not actually macaroni but spiral pasta. It was cooked to a nice al dente and covered in a tasty, cheesy sauce. 5 stars Potato Puree - Very smooth and creamy texture. REALLY good. 5 stars Grilled broccolini - Fresh, crisp, tasty. Nice elegant step up from regular broccoli. 5 stars Entrees 6oz filet - Cooked perfect medium rare, one of the most tender steaks I've ever tasted. 5 stars Stuffed chicken breast - SO good. The goat cheese stuffing is perfectly paired to the tender chicken breast and sauteed spinach. Unfortunately I left my phone at home (I know, right?) so I didn't get any pictures. Hopefully next time. Overall we highly enjoyed our meal and will definitely go back but will order different appetizers on our next visit. read more

We moved to Coppell in 2018 and have been told by numerous neighbors that Victor's is great. Not sure what took us so long to get in, but I can tell you our neighbors were correct, food was delicious, staff is very friendly, ambiance is calm-casual, and prices are very fair. This spot will now be in our restaurant rotation, for sure! March 2023 date night with my wife also happened to be a tornado advisory night, that indeed turned into a storm and some tornado like winds. The power was knocked out, but the staff at Victors didn't miss a beat. They brought us some extra candles for the table and continued to serve as if nothing happened. Made for a very romantic dinner, save the tornado sirens outside. read more
