[[HIGHLIGHT]]I LOVE this place. It's so "mom and pop" and I LOVE THAT![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As my wife is a real New Yorker, she fell in love with the pizza and garlic knots/rolls. Everything else was great too (please see the pictures). Service was SUPER NICE and easy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so freaking quaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to get my next slice! (I wish they had balsamic vinaigrette). Would I come back? HELL YAH! I can't wait!

I have been coming here since highschool (like 15 years) it is my favorite pizza in Houston so far. I love it. It's the perfect cheese to sauce ratio and flop. Their garlic knots are tasty; so good dipped in the marinara. The spaghetti marinara is really good too. I like the house salad. I'm a creature of habit so I haven't really tried more than those but I can imagine their other dishes are good and I will try them one day! The service is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I saw someone else comment it's mom and pop and it so is this ambiance. It's great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tell everyone about it.

I have been going to Napoli for over a decade and never in all that time have I had such a terrible experience. I haven't been since last October and I'm not sure if management/ownership has changed since, but whoever's running it has no clue what they're doing. We ordered a half Hawaiian and half supreme pizza. Instead they made a third supreme, 2/3 Hawaiian and there's a whole sliver with nothing at all. My sister was eating a slice of the Hawaiian and there was literally plastic in it. How does that even occur? We brought it up with the lady at the cash register who seemed to be managing it and all she had to say was that she'll tell the workers to be more careful. That's not how you handle a food service error in my opinion. She didn't even apologize. I also had the pasta Napoli which I only ate half of and took the rest home. When I was eating my leftovers, there was a hard chunk of something dark brown in color. I have no clue what it was but there wasn't supposed to be meat in it. Bottom line, their food handling is atrocious. They've ruined the restaurant and the way they "dealt" with the plastic issue is unacceptable. I was a long time customer and I will never return. Maybe others are too careless to notice what has changed but I can definitely tell the quality and service has dropped. Do better.

I stumbled into this nice restaurant and ordered a slice of cheese pizza and loved it. Great service and delicious food. Took a bunch of food home for the family to try and they all loved it!

Penne with olive oil and garlic. Cheese pizza

Let me say the service was very good. You order at a counter and the girl working was helpful and was the only one delivering food and clearing tables. However the food was really bad. The mozzarella sticks were all bad unseasoned breading with very little cheese. The pizza was also bland and the crust was more like a cracker on the rim and the middle was somehow soggy. The penne 'homemade' pasta was .50 cents worth of bagged pasta with garlic olive oil so salty I could not finish it. For a restaurant that's been here in this area for years, I honestly have to ask why?? First and only time I would eat there and would also tell others it's not worth it.

I can't believe this place has been under my nose for 33 years and I'm just trying it for the first time! Cozy Italian restaurant with booth and table seating inside plus a small outdoor seating. It's a walk up order style but the bring the food to your table. Great service. I had the Caesar salad to start. They put carrot shreds in theirs. Interesting, as I've never seen carrots in a Caesar salad. It was good. For my meal, I had the Pasta Napoli. A zesty blend of basil sauce with a splash of alfredo sauce & fresh mushrooms. Served over ziti pasta. Bread is served with each dish. We also tried the fried mozzarella. These bad boys were huge! I have never seen mozzarella that big. Very tasty! The atmosphere is charming and the service is terrific! We met the owner, "Papa Zack". He was very friendly and dubbed his food as "Texas Italy" because the portions are so big. They truly are big. I had 2-1/2 meals off mine. The pizza at other tables looked delicious and I can't wait to try their soups. Will return soon! Apparently, Papa Zack is adding burgers to the menu. There's a small space to the right of the main restaurant that will be for burger orders, as best I can tell. If he does Italian food this good and adds burgers, this place will be unstoppable! I will want to try the new addition as well!

I had lunch here last week for the first time coming in with low expectations. From what I understand this is a small Houston area restaurant chain and the outside looked a little dreary and the interior is cozy and relaxed. Parking spaces are plentiful in front. This is a counter service restaurant that has indoor and outdoor seating available along with a separate party room. From the lunch menu, I decided on the Scallopini de Pollo for $10.95 that also comes with a salad and bread. Almost all of the entrees on this menu were below that price. After getting my drink from the self serve station, I grabbed a table and about 5 minutes later the salad and bread arrived. It was a nice salad with fresh greens, cucumbers and tomatoes with a side of Parmesan cheese and was very good. The bread was 2 large warm rolls and this food was a nice start. About 10 minutes later the entree arrive. It was a large thin cut piece of chicken sautéed with a lemon flavor beside a bed of cooked spinach on the plate. The chicken was very flavorful and still juicy with the hint of lemon. The spinach was also very good and a delight to eat. I must say that this meal was not only tasty but also a generous serving of food. For the money it was a real value. This is a quaint restaurant with a nice neighborhood vibe to it that anyone would feel comfortable to come to for a casual and relaxed meal. I would be happy to return.

This is a wonderful Valentine special I'm definitely coming back free appetiser and two drinks and wholemeal for one price. I love it

Mimo's offers a great selection of Italian inspired apps, three well appointed pizzas, a few varied and surprising options for pasta dishes, and some mains. Items we tried: Pane - delicious Roasted Carrot Pizza - AMAZING, A little spicy, but definitely something we would order again. Pastas we ordered initially came out cold - our incredible waiter immediately corrected the issue. But from a flavor profile - Pansotti - sooooo delicious. You'd never guess that it was a vegetarian option - the mushrooms were so meaty. The delicate pouches with the spinach and ricotta were heavenly. Pappardelle - The lamb braised sauce had a depth of flavor that could rival any restaurant in Italy. My only tiny hope was that the pasta would have been served aldente, it was a little overcooked. But to each his own. Overall - really great. Would recommend. This would be great for a weeknight dinner or an off the beaten path date night.

We chose patio seating, which was nice because the interior is quite dim -- although I now have 7 mosquito bites. I overall thought the food was good but nothing was stellar. We ordered the house salad and Capicola, which was a mistake because flavor-wise they were nearly identical, the main difference being that the Capicola had meat. Both salads were well done and had a nice balance of flavor and freshness. I really enjoyed the fish -- lightly salted, nutty, and crispy -- but I added the lemon it came with, which made it bitter. The rigatoni was creamy and cheesy. It was a solid pasta, nothing out of the ordinary but still enjoyable. Mimo is the type of place I would visit if I lived nearby.

Seafood lasagna (8/10) - the seafood is not lacking! Its very seafood-forward. Salmon, shrimp, clams. You definitely know you are eating seafood. The cheese/seafood/pasta/sauce ratio is spot on, well balanced. It felt more like a seafood dish than a lasagna/pasta dish. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert, and nowhere on the menu did it mention that it was served with a slice of kiwi hidden underneath the whipped cream. I'm allergic to kiwi, and because it was completely covered, I didn't realize it was there until after I had already taken a bite. I brought this to our server's attention, not because I was looking for a discount or anything free, but simply because I wanted the staff to be aware so this wouldn't happen to another customer with a food allergy. Instead, the first response I received was asking if I had read the menu, which I had. Unfortunately, the menu never mentioned kiwi being part of the dessert. What really bothered me was overhearing the conversation afterward. Our server spoke with another staff member a few booths away, and I heard comments along the lines of, "Well, he should've mentioned his allergy," and "He should've asked." It felt like the responsibility was being placed entirely on me rather than acknowledging that an undisclosed ingredient had been served. I understand that customers with allergies should communicate them whenever possible, but I also think restaurants have a responsibility to disclose ingredients that aren't typically expected, especially when they're hidden in the presentation. I've had tiramisu many times and have never encountered one served with kiwi tucked beneath whipped cream. Again, the food itself was good, and this review isn't about trying to get compensation. I genuinely wanted to help prevent a similar situation for someone else. Unfortunately, the way my concern was handled left me feeling dismissed and caused me to lose confidence in the restaurant's approach to food allergies.
