I can't even describe my experience. I would've given it a zero if I could! Just know I'll never go back! And honestly, the picture of this chili tasted as bad as it looks Now the staff... Maybe a little under pressure because they were a little busy (2 people in the lobby and 2 cars in the drive thru)! It appeared they had only three people working and it was 6:30ish. I have loved Original Tommy's since the 80's. I used to go to their Beverly and Rampart location in Los Angeles when I was in college. This location is right off the 101 hwy. There is inside and outside seating as well as a drive thru. I came around 5:30 pm on a Wednesday and it was mostly empty. I was greeted shortly after entering. I ordered their double cheeseburger with extra chili. Their chili is SO good with their hamburgers. Not the kind of chili you eat by itself but as a condiment like grilled onions. I love Tommy's, it's childhood nostalgia for me and whenever I come across one it's dangerous because I almost always want to stop. I'm just glad I don't live right by them anymore haha. Growing up in LA, Tommy's was pretty close to my house and it was a fast food staple. In Ventura county I'm happy to see we have two of them and when I'm having a craving they always hit the spot. I personally like this Tommy's in Ventura the best. It's rarely ever too busy in the drive thru which makes it an easy in and out experience. Tommy's makes their griddle food fresh to order so you will have a little wait time but without a long car line it moves pretty quickly. Staff at this location have always been very nice and professional. No issues at all and they always get my order correct at the drive-through. My favorite item here is their breakfast sandwich believe jt or not. It's a well kept secret. Or maybe it's just others don't have a stomach of steel to eat this in the morning like I do? lol. Either way their breakfast is so good here. I always get their English muffin breakfast sausage sandwich here. I say yes to the cheese and chili (lite chili though) and no pickles or tomato's. It's super yummy and filling, if you are adventurous give this a try. Outside of breakfast I'm always a sucker for their chili cheese fries or burgers. Came in on a random weekday, just after the lunch crowd, but before the dinner crowd. Lots of free parking out in front. The place is meticulously clean and well kept inside. The consistency in the food is amazing, especially being so far from the original location in Los angeles. I like how the chili taste the same, the fries are crispy on the outside, and the burger I got with the Thousand Island is identical to anyone of the Tommy's locations you find in the Los Angeles area. The food was great! It's good food, served quick. I had no issues with the wait time, which was relatively fast. The bathrooms are well kept, clean I have no complaints.
