Purchased Maris 5/5 mix but the product (2 tin cans) had no THC. Store refused to give me store credit or a refund. I tossed the 'trash' product as I left and went down the street to make my purchase. Essentially, if they sell you bogus product, you have no recourse. Your money is wasted. Don't deal with jerks at Origins. It's not worth it. Also, watch out for Mari's products. They have no quality controls in place to stop this from happening. I have been coming to origins for a couple of years now and I have never had a bad experience. Out of all the dispensaries i've visited, this one is by far my favorite. It's so easy to shop and get exactly what you need even if you don't exactly know what you're looking for, the staff is so knowledgeable and always help find the best products for my lifestyle. Rico has helped me the most, he is so friendly, and very helpful. I don't ever really go to another dispensary, although it's about a 25 min drive from my place, it's so worth it. That's so not the point of a review, it's literally the only savings you'll ever get there, and the the quality to price ratio is ridiculous. To pay $30 dollars for your "home brand" concentrates, is criminal when you can get olium brand (far better) for $5 more? Terrible customer service last night. My wife and I went in there trying to buy a vape cartridge and battery. We wanted a cartridge that didn't have vitamin E that I kept reading about in the news. The first guy who checked our IDs was friendly and helpful. However the big guy with a beard who was behind the counter continually wouldn't answer questions in a clear manner. I would ask if product A had vitamin E and he would go into some spiel about how typically the black market products contain vitamin E but he never answered if product A had any vitamin E in it. I looked at another product and asked the same question. At this point he was clearly annoyed and handed the package to me for me to look at the ingredients myself. I stared at it for awhile but then I re-iterated I don't know anything about this and I don't know the chemical name of vitamin E. I asked him if this product had any vitamin E in it. He replied with a short, annoyed tone "Again, you typically find that stuff in the black market". But he kept refusing to tell me if the cartridge had vitamin E in it. Finally after looking him directly in the eye and asking him a third time (or was it a fourth time), he finally said no, the product had no vitamin E. He could have said that from the get go and there would have been no problems but instead he kept getting annoyed because I kept asking the same, basic yes/no questions. A simple "None of our products have vitamin E in them" would have solved this entire problem. I told him numerous times I was uneducated and super paranoid about this vitamin E problem but he still would not stop dancing around the answer and kept mentioned black market vape pen cartridges. Perhaps there is a legal reason why he can't claim that vitamin E isn't in the cartridge? I don't know but I found it weird and frustrating that it took so many tries to get a simple yes/no out of him and that he got annoyed with me during the whole process. My wife and I have been here about 6-7 times and it has been fine every time but after this experience we will be going to Canna West from now on. read more

This spot used to be decent, if you live in West Seattle and NEED to get something quick. Otherwise go to any of the shops in Sodo which are still pretty close and have WAY better deals. Origins marks everything up about 20% more than any other shop you'll find in Seattle. They also are really lacking good vendors. I've gone there several times out of convenience and since the original bud tenders were very friendly not too aggressive on sales. They must have left though because I stopped in for the first time in a few weeks and the staff was completely different, and much more aggressive and petty. Terrible experience tonight. I doubt I'll even give these guys a second chance after how annoying the budtenders were. I decided to not get an edible with my entire purchase and the girl that rang me up was extremely caddy about it. Doesn't matter if it's your first time to a legal pot shop or looking for a store you can become a regular at- steer clear of this shop.. Unless you want to be overcharged and have awful service. Updated: February 2017 changed back to a 3 star prices are still pretty marked up but you can run into an occasional deal. Bud tender Daisy knows her oil/ flower and always offers great customer service, was worried she had left but since she's still there I'd recommend seeing her if you stop by. Customer service in none existent. There is no menu in the store and if you ask to see whats available the staff look at you like it is a pain in the ass. Here's a helpful concept, if people don't buy a product try discounting instead of forcing it on an unsuspecting customer so you can move inventory. I've been here quite a few times. I'm more of an edible type of gal. The employees there are so knowledgeable about their products! I tell them what I like and dislike, and they automatically know what products to recommend! Their customer service is amazing - willing to spend the time to find your next favorite product :). They never rush you. If you are looking for edibles, my favorites are the orange pioneer squares and as of recently the sour lemon raspberry! I did not like the chili mango icebreaker-looking ones. They have the chili mango in a sample pack to purchase if you want to test it out before you buy the 100mg(?) can. I've only been two two other dispensaries, but this is my favorite because 1. It's close to my home 2. Customer service is great 3. Great selection! A good amount of the edibles are around $30 each for 100mg. It's totally worth it for me, as this is only for my weekend relaxation. read more

Unlike most other West Seattle stores, Origins has not set up plastic barriers between cashier and customer. And the store is often crowded. I've learned to watch for their sales texts and avoid going during those days; it isn't worth saving $10 or $15 to take that risk. I'd rather pay more and avoid so many people. I can't express how much we love Origins! The location and the space itself are fantastic but it's the people that really make it. I have been to Origins about 5 or 6 times and every single time the staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. This last time Daisy helped me and she was fantastic. I have recently switched from prescription meds for back pain to cbd and she helped me find the right one with the right dose to suit my needs. I went in Friday night while the store was relatively busy. I'm not a huge THC consumer, but I do regularly purchase low content edibles to help me sleep at night, and I do buy them here (one purchase every two weeks or so, usually about $20 each visit). I mention it because while I'm not a huge spender, I'm treated like one every time I visit this store! I waited for, what in my opinion wasn't very long, maybe ten minutes. All I wanted was a couple of joints, and told one of the guys (long beard, I can't remember his name, I'm sorry!) I'd take whatever he recommends. He said they had a four pack for ten bucks, and I accepted. He rang it up and said it was on the house, and thank you for my patience! I was totally blown away. I quite literally was not even aware I had waited very long. It may seem like a small gesture, but I the scheme of things, that is a rarity in this world! I was in pajamas after a long day of work, but I was treated like I was dressed for the club. The woman who greeted me and checked my ID was also very upbeat and sweet, which is also very refreshing every time I go in. This kind of stuff will keep me recommending this place to my out-of-town guests and friends alike, (seems like everyone suddenly wants to smoke when they come vacation in Seattle) and will keep me coming back even if it's out of the way sometimes. WARNING - not following social distancing or face covering guidelines! I was extremely disappointed in a recent visit to Origins in West Seattle. There was a blatant disregard for social distancing and state mandated face covering guidelines. Upon arriving, the female employee checking IDs was without mask and made no attempt, through the entire 5-10 minutes I was in the store, to rectify the situation. She proceeded to let numerous people in all at once which mad sit impossible the maintain a 6 foot distance. If I hadn't already ordered online I would have left. When I was set to check out, the registers were placed to near each other at the other end of the counter that it was again, impossible to maintain a social distance. An employee squeezed in to serve a customer immediately next to me within a 2 foot range which was an extremely uncomfortable and unfortunate position to be in. As we were checking out another employee with his mask half off came to chat with the other employees, further crowding the already cramped space. The entire experience left me feeling unsafe and uncomfortable to say the least. If you're unable to ensure the safety of your patrons, then, perhaps you shouldn't be open at all. read more

What a unique experience, this shop is superb! The outside is charming and doesn't look quite like a dispensary. The inside is very clean and modern. Friendly staff members greet you as you walk in to check your ID and there are more friendly staff members behind the display cases to help educate you on what to buy based on what experience you are looking for. Cartridges were near the back, with flower in the middle, and edibles and topical towards the front. Bought a few great products but my favorite were the edible sour cherry fruit chews from Pioneer Squares and the malted milk balls from Swift's Edibles. Cash only but they have an ATM. Definitely go shop here if you are in the Seattle area!!! read more

First review (made in line): I strongly dislike how customers have to wait in a line to get service. Why can't people look around, without being assisted by a bud tender? If it's to appear fancy, it's not classy or customer service oriented. It's annoying. Second review (after service): So, origins was having a sale today. 100 for 60 or 60 for 40, whatever, so we went. We get there and the above happens. Oh well let's get this deal and get out of here. We almost left when we didn't get any help and realized they didn't have any reasonable priced ounces. Someone finally helps us and it's this girl who's hella pushy. Like she can't do math and is consistently pushing us to spend way over 60 or 100 dollars. Nah, I don't let it happen so I tell her exactly what I want and get 104 dollars of shit and spend 64. We head over to the register and she says to her co worker "I feel like I'm playing deal or no deal pushing these sales with this customer". Clearly the associates have some kind of pushy sales contests with each other, to each their own, but I was about to tip this chick until she said that. The whole experience was terrible and despite being right down the street to my house I'd rather cross the bridge and get better deals and service in SODO. TLDR: be prepared to know what you want in origins cuz they'll push sales on you hard, if they even let you in. read more

The Origins shop in Redmond was extremely nice and sophisticated. I love the way that they lay out their product, as well as the knowledgeable staff. I have been there four times now and have not had a negative experience once. I would recommend anyone living in the Redmond area to stop by and check it out. This place feels upscale, has cool t-shirts, and catchy advertising all over town, but don't let that fool you. Origins sold me a syringe of CBD oil that was crystallized, making it unusable. As a cancer patient, I don't have the time or the funds to waste on defective product. I usually purchase Ethos CBD oil at West Seattle Cannabis Co. and have never had a problem; I only tried Origins after WSCC was out stock. By the way, West Seattle Cannabis Co. sells the same product for $5 less - and it was a usable, much better product in liquid/oil form - as it SHOULD be in a syringe. So Origins rakes in cash by selling defective products while unwilling to assume any responsibility for what they sell. If there's a problem, you won't be able to talk to anyone about it but a self-appointed cannabis aficionado who could not care less and assume that he is the only one who knows about cannabis oil. Presuming that the customer knows nothing is rude, condescending, and terrible customer service. Avoid this polished place. You'll pay more than at other places, but you're not paying for better products or service; instead, you're paying for slick advertising, defects, and excuses. read more

Origins is good, not great. I buy some of their sales items and have been charged the full price every time. I always have to point out that they overcharged me and get it corrected. They also misquote prices on regular items (the quote is lower than the actual price), so I always have to question that, too. I selected an 8th of flower, full price, and expected the usual 3-4 buds in the package. It was full of tiny buds (popcorn buds, or bb), and they guy told me with a straight face that those were regular full-size buds when they clearly were not. Their website has an annoying feature in that it's not organized, either alphabetically, or in their "catagories" of "social", "self discovery", etc. You have to scroll through their totally random menu to get to what you want, and there isn't a Search feature. They have a decent selection, but are over priced overall, and the lack of knowledge is really irritating. read more

Great location in the heart of downtown Redmond! So happy they chose this spot as the previous building was dilapidated and abandoned. The exterior facelift is gorgeous and very PNW-themed, and the interior is split into 3 separate (but connected) storefronts: cannabis sales, apparel and a cafe (to be finished within the month). We have been told that kids will be allowed in the cafe and that there will not be cannabis products available in the cafe. Super knowledgeable and friendly customer service, especially for me who didn't really know the ins and outs of what would be right for me. I will be back! read more

As in every cannabis store I was asked for my ID and I gave it to them, but as in any other they didn't allowed me in cuz I didn't have an US ID! They said they don't allow foreign!
