Our front yards smelled musty, earthy and smelled awful. There were like a millions of flies (not really, I just felt like it) flying around the front doors. I googled and AI told me that I have termites!!! So I called Orkin to come out to check. Michael Hang, Orkin Home Services Inspector, came out the next day to do a FREE inspection. He told me that we don't have termites but he gave us free advice on how to resolve our problems: trimming down some of our trees in the front yards. Pruning improves airflow and reduces damp, shady, or decaying spots where flies breed. He also told us to remove the fly traps we put up to catch the flies because dead flies can attract more flies and dead flies smell like a rotting carcass. Then when he assured with us that we did not have other issues/problems we were concerned about, he's ready to leave because he's there to provide us with his services. Because he looks earnest and didn't push their services on me, I asked him about their regular pest controls services and costs. Holy smokes!! They provide the same services as the pest control company I previously used for 10+ years for less!! Unbelievably great prices!! Best part was, I do not need to deal with the problems I experienced with my last pest controls company. No AI when I call, but real person to talk to. read more

We were desperate for a pest control after our 2 dogs brought home fleas. It was spreading like crazy and we called Orkin for help. They were able to minimize the damage and got rid of them after a few trips. They bug bombed the inside of our house and sprayed the outside. They continue to come monthly and we haven't seen the fleas back since. The one thing we are really disappointed in is the fact that they didn't close the gate to our backyard when they left. We are also at fault for not checking this ourselves - but, we ask them to leave the house the way they found it. If the gate was closed when you arrived, please keep it closed when you leave. Thought that was easy enough to know and follow. But they left the gate open and one of our dogs ran out shortly after Orkin left and our dog ran into the street. Unfortunately it was struck by a car and died... we're devastated. Please do better and use common sense! Especially if you see and know that there are dogs at the house you are treating! read more

If I could give less than I one star I would. Called regarding a possible infestation in our home. A service rep came out and took photos of droppings in our stairwell and said he would refer it to people in the office that handled that and that they would call me back. That was on a Monday. By Thursday I still had not received a call so I called them. I was told they were leaving the office soon but someone would definitely call me by the next day which was Friday. Friday I called them at 3 pm and was told they were looking at my case at that time and they would return my call by 5pm. At 5pm still no call and the office is closed. I paid $310 for an inspection and a pest control around our home and still have the infestation that I need to be taken care of. I called Clark that same evening. Today they have been to our home and we already have a scheduled appointment to have this taken care of appropriately. Requested a Full Service Call For the front and back yard of my residence, for Wild Cats Flea yard treatment, Bait Box Changing, Spider Web Brushing and Spraying around exterior of our home and gates. What we received was a 10 minute monologue from Justin Frank about how Orkin can not treat the front and back yard of our residence and if he sprays he cannot brush the spider webs that are clearly surrounding our windows and doors because he is only here to spot treat certain spots of our exterior home that he chooses. The bait stations some had been inside and under an old shed for over 2-3 years and The bait boxes were completely empty but Justin refused to change the empty bait and added a few new to 1 box and the other smaller box he denied that it was from Orkin even though that is where it came from and refused to put bait in the box because he was able to pop it open with his hands and the box had no key. I told Justin that the bait box was given to us like that but the bait is hidden in the outdoor shed where our dogs can't access. Justin refused to replace the bait box or fill with new bait even though it never came with a lock to begin with. Justin refused to spray the exterior gates because according to him he couldn't do the gates in a call back appointment. Justin did not brush the spider webs around the home exterior claiming Orkin does not brush spider webs on a retreat appointment. I clearly explained to Justin that we have been calling for a retreat for over a month but Orkin has not had the man power to come out to treat in over a month. Orkin claims to do the job to the customer satisfaction or they will give you your money back. This is clearly not true because it has not ever happened in my experience with Orkin. This is my second experience with an Orkin representative who doesn't want to do his job and to make matters worst he blames a pile of debris waiting for a pickup away from the home and gates from stopping him from spraying and brushing spider webs from the windows and porch area. I have had plenty of great experiences with Orkin representatives but this was not a good experience. Andy Phenh was nice and professional. He treated our indoor, outdoor, and mosquitoes. Andy came back to do follow up on Saturday!!! Price was cheaper than our previous servicer. My kids were swimming last night with no bites. I'm very happy with the field tech. However, office personnel can use more training. I talked to two different people who gave me different prices. The first one quoted me right then the second one quoted me differently. I almost didn't sign the paperwork until Andy resolved it, and he's a field tech. Worst service ever! If I could give them ZERO stars I would. The technicians are lazy as hell and barely do their job. I still have ants, spiders, water bugs and all sorts of other bugs both outside and inside of the house. There is no communication with this company. I asked to be serviced on Saturday so I could ensure they did their job and they still came on Tuesdays. My house had 4 wasp nests and they said they "serviced" my house. They sure did take my money though. I was being serviced for a year! I told them I thought I had birds in my vents and they said it would take 24-28 to get wildlife to service my house. I have reached out to them 6 times now about the billing issues. They randomly deiced to charge more for service without notifying anyone and each time I call, email, or put in a request to speak to someone about the charges, NO ONE called, emails or responds. I call and they never answer the phone. Ever... Yet keep scheduling me for service, closer and close to each other. It is.obvious they get paid per visit and not by the hour after the guy came out the first day our bug problem was so bad he said they'd be back weekly. The guy came out a week later he squirted gel from a syringe in about four places and said ok see you next month, I flipped he agreed he went and got his spray out of the truck he sprayed the kitchen and still left within five mins. No way was he here ten. Super disappointed in the customer service and services in general from this branch. I was a customer for 2 almost 3 years with this branch and at first the service was fantastic, but in the last year it's gone downhill tremendously. According to my account I was getting monthly pest control and bi-monthly mosquitoes services, however since the beginning of the year I've witness the pest control actually being done fully maybe twice and the mosquitoes services became just a leaf blower. The last straw was this past Friday when the technician sent a "Orkin is on the way" text 8 minutes before he actually arriving at my house. He then proceeded to use the leaf blower around the house which took about 10 mins and then left. I immediately called the 866 number and spoke to a customer service rep named Carolyn, this was about 8:06am as the phones opened at 8am, who said she was going to send the issue to the M.O.D, who I believe she said was Joseph, and was going to bump the issue to a regional level given I had called previously questioning services. I never received a call back and actually had to call myself again on Monday to try and get the matter resolved. When I finally was able to get ahold of a someone, Jeremey, who said he was the Customer service manager tried to tell me I should be patient given I had called at 5pm on Friday, which was a complete lie. That all he could do was refund the last service, which he made sure to let me know the cost as though that would suffice the lack of services the last four months, and to just not expect all the technicians to be as thorough as they had previously been as the previous ones had gone above their job requirements. I have since cancelled my services and sadly I am STILL waiting the cancellation confirmation email that Jeremy said he was going send on Monday. Not worth the time or money wasted ! Would NOT recommend at all. I called last Fri to book full service as the other company we had stopped coming. The rep, Katie said for 350.00 they come out two days in a row and spray outside, inside around the home, put down bait boxes etc to manage any and all pests. Great, booked them for Tuesday after the holidays. The rep arrived and was here for about 20 min, sprayed inside and outside our homes baseboards only and left. No bait boxes, no repel sheets or anything else. Wed comes and no one returns. I called to find out where they were, not coming. I get a call about 10 min later saying they will be here Fri only to get another call five min later to say they didn't have any one available to come out and the call to confirm appt was not for our acct. Asked the rep what I was paying 350.00 for them and she says, yah I'm not really sure. I have called Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun to find out what happened to the rest of the full service I paid for and no answers. I keep getting the answering service, promises of a call back and nothing more. The ants I noticed were a small nuisance when I called and now I have a TON of the damn things ! It's like whatever they sprayed is feeding them and not killing them ?!?! Of course they have charged my cc and now I can't reach anyone to finish the service I paid for. The crazy 350.00 service cost is to pay for their fancy studies with Perdue University and their fancy commercials and nothing more. The products they use don't work, the customer service, follow up and commitment to their customers is nonexistent. I have a been a long time customer and was recently told that they were needing to raise my rates over 18 percent in one year . I called competitors and several four and five star rated companies are under what they want to raise my rate to overall. I think I understand why they are ranked two stars . They come off that reviews don't matter but customers are the ones keeping them employed, I think that they don't realize the reality of it . I put a message in for the manager of this location in Stockton Ca ,to return my call , never did , it's been over two weeks . It would be nice if the company would look at overriding how a manager wants to run its location . I think I will look into it . I mentioned I would be doing that but no one seems to care . I wasn't home and my gf's daughter was home, she told them to come back or contact me as I had a past due balance. The technician contacted his supervisor who told them to go ahead and do the service. They proceeded to run my card without my permission. We a problem with cluster flies, when we called the orkin operator yesterday and described what pest problem we had. She told us they will send someone out immediately , which they did, on the website it's stated they specialize in flies. Orkin send us someone who did nothing but took a walk around the outside house and told us there is nothing he can do, he seem very bothered to even be there and spent no more the 10 minutes at our house. He didn't check vents, sinks etc. He didn't offer to spray around the outside house, like windows , cracks along the walls or in the foundation , nothing, zilch . He was more interested in our pet snake, I'm very disappointed in orkin professionalism, they did not help us. I would not recommend this company. Their customer service sucks. Cheyenne sounds like she's half asleep when you call and you can tell she hates her job. Real joy to deal with. If you call the call center they will mess up your appointment every single time. My bug problem continues and the tech told me it's because I need to have my house sprayed less.
