We have been dealing with EcoGuard for about four months now. This companies employees do not communicate with one another. Know in advance as a customer you will be dealing with call centers all over the place, not with your local EcoGuard branch. This is where communication starts to break down.We have yet to have an appointment go smoothly. No one in the office takes accountability for mistakes in scheduling or incorrect information. We get texts telling us when our next appointment for service will occur without a call to inquire if we are available, assuming we are home and waiting for EcoGuard to show up. We have been given windows in which to expect a technician where they never show up. When asked about time windows not being honored on numerous appointments we were told they don't offer time slots. Another example of office staff not being on the same page. This companies one job is pest management, they just can't get it together. We ended up calling someone else who took the time to show where the house was vulnerable to pests, showed us that we had bats!!! and, was able to climb under our house with no problem. We first hired EcoGuard to help with excessive ants on the property. We've had Four different technicians, each one telling us conflicting information. We were told we needed ant baits but our technician was out at the time, but would drop some off the following day. This never happened. When I called I was told the warehouse was completely out. Then two days later someone appears on our ring camera with five baits, leaving them on the porch. We were out of town so baits worked and we had a mess to clean up upon returning home. We then asked for help with rats/mice in the backyard. The technician set up two bait stations and left. I asked if we needed to do anything in the garage... I was told to buy some rat bait and "throw it around the garage". Something has died under our house. We called EcoGuard. The perimeter of our house is sealed off, it has to be something pretty small. The technician arrives, first thing he says is "gee, I don't know if I can fit under there" my husband is bigger than him and he fits. Then he says "I was not aware that you had an animal under your house". So I called EcoGuard. Turns out he had been notified, it was in his work order, Crespin, just didn't want to crawl under the house because he had a bad knee. This is understandable but maybe this should have been discussed with his manager before wasting our time. Justin at EcoGuard tried calling him directly while I was on the phone with him trying to get a resolution, but Crespin said he wasn't going to answer his phone for Justin or his supervisor. He also said since he couldn't smell anything from the other side of our house he thought it was in the attic. He didn't have a ladder(mind blowing) since they have to crawl in attics routinely. But, decided to leave when he heard me talking to Justin. He said he didn't need to be "talked down to". I never talked to him, my husband did. However he did hear me talking about him to Justin at EcoGuard. I did ask him to wait outside until we got things sorted out, but he was so fragile it was over and done with. We ended up calling a different company altogether. This is a company that has excellent reviews, that's why we went with them. In hindsight, we regret every second we have had to deal with them. Customer service is cordial but lacking in follow through and true service. Crespin is by far the worst technician of them all. Being dishonest and disregarding calls from his employer is the type of behavior that will drive a company into the ground. Many other companies to choose from. read more

We were on the hunt for a new pest service after decided that the prior company was just doing the bare minimum. We live near the river so there are lots of rodents, bugs, etc. I went to Yelp to find a new company and stumbled across EcoGuard and all of their positive reviews. I submitted a request and was actually called that night (which seemed like after business hours but I was free!) to schedule an appt. I did share that I wanted someone with experience, who understood the area, and would be available to come as needed. Shawn, our technician, has now been out multiple times. He is friendly, incredibly knowledge and you can tell just wants to help. We recently started having a bee issue. I called to have him come out and he came the next morning but unfortunately the bees were not swarming in the area they had been in the day prior. He asked to try and take a photo of the bees when we saw them again, since they can't do anything about honeybees. After many tries I got a photo, text it to Shawn, and he mentioned to call the office for an appt. I did and he was able to come out quickly, at a time that the bees were out. They weren't honey bees and he was able to treat the specific area where it seemed like maybe they were going into the attic. EcoGuard has been incredibly helpful and responsive. They want to get someone out to you quickly which I appreciate! read more

I have been using ecoguard for years. They offer more than just basic pest control. Aside from the monthly preventative care, I've also done inspections and they just recently closed off any entry points to prevent rodents. In the summer they offer a preventative mosquito service as well. All the technicians are great. Each and every single person is professional, friendly, and responsible. They always make sure my gate is shut after. Most communication is via text/email and it's super simple and straightforward. Eco guard service is great. I had a wasp nest and needed it taken care of and the tech stop by the following day to get it resolved. Prior to the wasp nest, I had a bird issue under my eaves and requested a specialist to take a look at it. Dennis stopped by and viewed the area to ensure that there are no eggs or nest. I submitted a Yelp request for wasp removal and general pest control for my one-year-old home. Funny enough, this company came highly recommended by my supervisor, who also uses their services and spoke very highly of them. Out of all the quotes I received, theirs was the most reasonable and fairly priced. From the start, my experience was excellent. The representative I spoke with, Jay, was extremely responsive and thorough. He explained all the plans and services in a way that was easy to understand--which I really appreciated as a first-time homeowner who has never hired a pest control company before. I confirmed my service choice over the phone, and to my surprise, they were able to come out to my home and get started within an hour. That kind of responsiveness is hard to beat! The technician, Mat, who performed the work was equally impressive. He clearly explained the differences between the treatment options and let me decide which was best for my home. He walked me through his action plan and, to my surprise, discovered three wasp nests instead of just one. His thoroughness and attention to detail gave me a lot of confidence in their work. We had a great experience with Ecoguard, and I especially want to recognize Jarvon, who handled our service visit. Jarvon called about 15 minutes before arriving, which I really appreciated. Once he got here, he walked through the house with me and pointed out key areas of concern. He was thoughtful and proactive, adding additional traps in spots he believed would have a higher chance of success rather than just sticking to the bare minimum. He was patient, easy to talk to, and very respectful of our home, including wearing shoe covers while inside. After moving into our own place we originally used Pestie and were spraying ourselves. After a while they changed changed some things (sprayer and nozzle on the bags) and after having ants make their way in during certain seasons multiple years in a row we decided to just have professionals help us. EcoGuard responded right away and was able to help us by spraying around our garden and house and laid ant trap around the house. They let us know if we do see pests they'll come in as much as we need to do some extra sprays, but so far the regular visits have been doing the trick. Their team is friendly and polite and we haven't seen many bugs in the house since working with them. It does cost more than Pestie did, but it seems to be worth it for the peace of mind and having that extra task taken off our hands. I'll update this once we get through the summer, it seems to be the time the ants love to try to come into the house the most. I'm crossing my fingers that we keep them out this year. read more

We have had EcoGuard as our pest control service for a year or so. Our technician Rueben Perez is professional, friendly, dependable and thorough. He calls a half hour before arriving, completes whatever is requested with no complaining or issues and then provides a detailed report of what he did. EcoGuRd is also very responsive. If we need him to come back out, EcoGuard will send him back out within a reasonable timeframe without charging us. We appreciate this extra customer service from the company, which we believe sets them apart from other pest control companies. I have been using EcoGuard Pest Management for years. What first brought me to them was an issue with ants inside our home. I researched the local pest control companies, and EcoGuard seemed to best meet my needs because of their eco-friendly approach. I also appreciated that they are a family-owned business. They took care of the ant problem, and then later a problem we had with rats. We have been getting regular service for years now, and I am always impressed by the professional service technicians. Andrew was our service tech today, and he was friendly and took the time to answer my questions about their products, specifically since we have a new puppy. They always notify me the day before a service, both by email and text. And they have a website customer portal that you can log into to see what services they provided, areas/issues targeted, and products used. Unfortunately Ive had a really bad experience with this company. I've worked with gutter cleaners, window cleaners and landscapers that were more responsive and professional. When I pointed out that they missed the external fireplace opening as well as the broken guard on top he responded with "that's not my job!." "It wasn't in the report." Wow, and then they have a follow up appt today but no time was given so I've waited 2-1/2 hours and no one has responded from the office when I told them I have to leave. amazing. read more

Have to double down - I've been working with EcoGuard for 6 months and cannot say enough positive things about their exceptional customer service and the effectiveness of their product. It's super quick and easy to schedule an appointment and they usually have same or next day availability. Curtis is my recurring technician and he's the absolute best. Always shows up with a smile, recalls and asks questions from our prior conversations (we had a lot of visits during the rodent inspection follow-up phase), and works quickly and effectively to get the job done. Also, he ensures I have an opportunity to share any specific trouble areas at the start of the appt so he can make sure to knock those out when performing the service.
