If you plan your day right with cooling towels, water, fans, etc., this is actually a really really fun experience! There's also a splash pad here too! We didn't sign up for anything extra, just general admission. We did buy gator food. It was kinda neat because you could essentially feed them any time throughout the walk! There is so much to see and do there. I was pleasantly surprised by how large the whole place was. I got there right at opening at 10am to sign up for the capybara experience, but the petting zoo did not open until 11am, so the gentleman at the ticketing gate recommended that I line up around 10:55am. The capybara experience was $15, and it includes a 10-minute time slot from 2-3pm to feed and pet capybaras. If that is all you are here for, apparently Gatorland does allow re-entry so you can just reserve a time slot and come back during your assigned time. I would highly recommend this experience if you are even remotely interested. It was a really cool opportunity, and I did not feel rushed or crowded at all during my time slot (12 people total). Other than that, I enjoyed the shows and train ($3 for unlimited rides all day). There are a variety of animals to see outside of just alligators and crocodiles, so I think there is something for everyone. This is an affordable option ($34) for a day of fun that does not involve large crowds. I spent about 4-5 hours here but could have probably stayed longer if it were not so hot. The website says food and drinks are not allowed, but honestly no one checked. Free parking is a plus!

The hotel has a nice lobby with several places to eat and shop, and the front desk staff were helpful, friendly, and available at all times. It is also only about a five minute walk to Disney Springs, which was very convenient. The biggest perk of staying here is the Early Park Entry for Walt Disney World Resort parks. It took several days and phone calls to link my Disney app with the hotel reservation, but it was finally connected the day before arrival. If you cannot link the reservation in the app, you can request a card from the front desk to use for early park entry. The hotel also offers a free shuttle that runs daily from 7 a.m. until about one and a half hours after park closing. The bus runs only once per hour. One shuttle goes to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, while another goes to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Because of this, it can take a bit longer to reach the park depending on where you are going. On the other hand, unlike shuttles at Hiltons, this shuttle doesn't stop at other hotels to pick up other guests. The shuttle arrived on time both when heading to the parks and when returning. The room itself was just okay. I had seen many photos online from travelers showing dirty rooms, but mine was actually pretty clean and well maintained. The biggest downside was the shower, which did not have hot water. I mentioned it to the front desk and was told a technician would come, but it did not seem to get fixed. I ended up taking lukewarm showers during my stay. The AC unit was also VERY loud when it turned on, so I had to turn it off when going to sleep. On the plus side, there was plenty of storage space and a fairly spacious mini fridge. The on site store and café open early and close late, which is convenient. However, the prices are quite high. For example, a bottle of water was nearly $7. Overall, if I were not visiting the parks, I would probably choose a better hotel for the price I paid.

If you have your Magic Band ready when you get off the plane, it's incredibly easy, and you just walk up and scan your Magic Band and they tell you what line to stand in. Line 10 is AKL for both villages and Coronado. A personal gripe of mine; I don't think Deluxe resorts should have to share busses. Before this trip, we'd always stayed at Polynesian and Grand Floridian. They are both Deluxe resorts, and they share with Contemporary, and all of those resorts are right next to each other, so it didn't really bother me. But this time we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we stopped at Art of Animation and Pop Century before getting to AKL. I just think the Deluxe resorts are so much more expensive that they could get their own busses. In any case, I landed at the airport at 3:45, was on a bus by 4:15, and on resort at 5:07. I don't think it's worth the cost of an Uber to get there like a half hour faster, but that's up to you. One thing that's great about Disney is that you don't need to worry about transportation at all once you get there, and I really appreciate that. And if you check bags, you don't even need to get those, and they'll deliver them right to your room. I had a very early flight home though, and they picked me up excessively early. I got picked up at 5:30am for an 8:30am flight. I didn't have luggage, but if I did I could have checked it at the resort, so no one needs to be at the airport that early. I sat around for a good 2 hours before my flight. That might have been worth taking an Uber just so I could sleep another hour. It's still a great service though, and I plan to use it again next time. There's really no reason to spend extra on transportation when this is included with your stay.

It's great if you don't need to rent a car as you can use this bus service from and back to the airport. I highly recommend it. Charging ports on the bus along with TV's showcasing Disney info and trivia. They have this down to a science. Be sure to tag your bags correctly, and they will get them for you, and they magically show up at your hotel. The buses run on specific schedules and based on the time of your flight be prepared to leave a bit earlier to the airport. I read this service will end in 2022. Sad, as it's a terrific perk.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the Wyndham at Disney Springs was so…read moredisappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Being close to Disney Springs was convenient, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. The most serious issue occurred when we were literally LOCKED inside our room for over an hour with no way to get out. The door malfunctioned, and despite multiple attempts, we could not open it from the inside. This is not just an inconvenience it is a major safety hazard and a potential fire risk. If there had been an emergency, we would have been trapped. As if that wasn't bad enough, after trying to put the situation behind us and get some sleep, we started seeing roaches in the room. Finding one roach is unacceptable. Seeing multiple roaches during a one-night stay is absolutely disgusting and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and pest control throughout the property. The room itself was in terrible condition. While showering, the bathroom handle literally fell off. The shower floor felt soft and unstable, as if you could fall through it at any moment. The ceiling looked damaged and appeared like it could collapse at any time. The entire room felt neglected, unsafe, and poorly maintained. Getting any rest was nearly impossible because of the constant noise. Guests were slamming doors at all hours, and the walls seemed to do little to block sound. It was far from the relaxing vacation experience we expected. To make matters worse, the hotel charges extra for internet access, something that most hotels provide for free in 2026. The parking situation was also terrible, with limited spaces and a frustrating layout. What made everything even more disappointing was how misleading the listing was. The photos on Booking.com look nothing like the actual rooms we were given. The pictures show clean, modern accommodations, but the reality was an outdated, poorly maintained room that looked nothing like what was advertised. We felt completely misled. Our stay was supposed to be several days long since it was a mini vacation getaway for our anniversary, but conditions were so bad that we left two days before our scheduled checkout. We simply could not justify spending another night there. Between being trapped in our room, seeing roaches, dealing with broken fixtures, worrying about the condition of the building, enduring constant noise, paying ridiculous extra fees, and being misled by the photos, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're planning a Disney vacation. The location alone is not worth the safety concerns, cleanliness issues, and overall poor quality of this property.

This hotel is perfect if you're going to Disney and don't want to stay at one of the resorts but want some resort perks. The perks I found convenient was the shuttle and being able to go to the parks before it officially opens. For the shuttle they give you a schedule for the parks so you know when you need to get there. And they have complimentary breakfast and have daily kickbacks from 5:30-7:30pm where you get 3 alcoholic beverages, or just unlimited sodas/juice, and random food items you can make a complete dinner out of. Housekeeping was always really nice, they came to our rooms daily and refreshed our towels and such. The pool was nice and clean as well. The employees there were very nice and helpful to direct us as it was our first time there. We did order pizzahut while there and food from the kitchen and bar. Both were pretty decent just the kitchen and bar food was expensive as expected. I will say although I did love the shuttles, I did not use it my second night. I think it's great for getting there and if you're doing half a day coming back in the afternoon is fine. But if you're coming home during closing it could be very hectic. At Disney there's a spot where you wait for your shuttle we and one other family were one of the first ones there and almost didn't get on the shuttle because they let all the ones who came after before us. And the other family was in a wheel chair so I felt they should've gotten on first. I did love that there was no resort fee however there was a parking fee. If you are military I would recommend asking if there's a discount as if you book online there is one. We didn't know that so they gave us a discount with parking. Our rooms were spacious for a family of 5 with two queens and a couch. We requested a playpen and it was brought to our room after check in. It had a sheet and came with a tiny blanket. The bathroom was decent. There were some spots where I felt it showed its age not a cleaning issue. All and all I would probably stay here again. It saved some money for our family as meals and with the shuttle parking for one of the days.

Riverside is a collection of two story buildings spread out like a typical moderate level resort. There are several bus stops conveniently located around Riverside, like a typical moderate level resort. We enjoyed a Disney fishing excursion from the marina at Riverside. The fishing guide took us to Disney Springs and set up all our fishing equipment. It was the most memorable part of our visit. We enjoyed fresh beignets at French Quarter. Our advice would be to order "for here" to get these delicious Mickey shaped hoodies on a plate. If you get them to go, they are severed in a bag. If you really need to take them, and don't mind the simple presentation, the to go bag is fine. We just preferred to see them all and eat them immediately, hot and fresh. There are so many activities around the property. They have bike rentals, including the kind that multiple people can ride that look like a carriage. Ask the friendly staff about their updated offerings. You can also take a boat to Disney Springs. Each accommodation has a different area of theming. This can change over time so make sure to ask when calling to book a room. This resort is definitely worth checking out.

This was the first Disney resort I had been to. The first word that came to mind upon our arrival…read morewas "evocative". I was stunned by how beautiful this place was, and how throughly it made me feel like I was in a little enclave of New Orleans. It was quaint and quiet. When we were walking around there was even a horse-drawn carriage making its way down the street with passengers. (Note that the streets aren't open to traffic, just the carriages and maybe small vehicles that the resort employees use.) The lobby is beautiful and very large. There's a gift shop connected to the lobby, and also a little arcade area further back by the bathrooms. On the other side of the entryway courtyard is the quick service restaurant, Sassagoula's, and the coffee shop (the latter is where you'll get some delicious Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets). My favorite part was the splash pad and pool area. Not for myself, but because of my daughter. They have an amazing pool area. There's the larger pool, which has a serpent-shaped waterslide. Adjacent to that is a smaller splash pad area designed for kids. That splash pad area is HUGE! There are two water slides, one of which is enclose all the way around and is significantly the lager of the two. Opposite that is a smaller waterslide that is open and more appropriate for small children, like my toddler. There are a bunch of other water features like a few little water spouts that move around 360 degrees. There's a little wading pool that doesn't go deep, not even a foot, but fun to sit in and splash. There's also a huge water drum, filled up by a pipe at the top and when there's enough water it spins and releases all the water. That was a lot of fun for all the kids playing around. There was a downside. It may simply be the room that we were in, and it didn't feel small exactly, but if I recall correctly there were no drawers in the room. There was a little bathroom/sink area that had some shelves and a few hangers, but that's not really practical. If I was to consider staying here again, that might be a factor in my decision, because I if I stay here for more than three nights I like to be able to unpack my suitcase, not live out of it. Having said that, I did like this resort quite a lot. I would indeed consider staying here again, especially since we only stayed a single night. There's boat access to at least one park, which is helpful, and we took an Uber to Animal Kingdom. The pool/splash pad alone is a big pull towards this resort (the beignets don't hurt, either!), so next time we make it to Disney Port Orleans will be on my short list.
