Franky has been keeping my now higher mileage RX-8 in top shape and recently completed a complete cooling system overhaul with new radiator, all new vacuum hoses and coolant hoses, aluminum coolant reservoir and a surprise seized alternator with light-weight pulleys. After trying to support this business for the last eight years. I don't bring my car here much but I do send a lot of people. I have to bring it to the communities attention that they replaced three alternators in my car within one month and instead of sourcing the problem which was a negative wire that was missing The rubber on it, and it was touching the engine bay. Instead of sourcing that problem correctly, they had their mechanic from Asia, who is 100% uncertified just continue to install alternators without sourcing the problem. My car needed three new batteries and three new alternators within one month. I took my car to a different mechanic and they fixed the problem right away. They told me the negative wire was missing all the rubber on it and it was touching the engine block. Which resulted in my computer being fried and needing to be replaced. I hate that I have to write this review, but I have to bring it to everyone's attention that this place is one of the hardest garages to communicate with and trust. read more

I gave this place many tries and I hate that I gave this place my time. I am completely not happy of my last visit here. Their communication at this place is all over the place. They also don't inform you when you have to pay for other services, especially over the phone which is crazy to me. I came in to pick up my car and I had to pay for extra services that I didn't agree on. I even asked for an estimate for new tires and I didn't even get that. Love this business. They always take care of whatever needs I have. Franky really knows his stuff, he's a great mechanic. Joann is really friendly and helpful anytime you speak with her. I've brought in problems that I've caused trying to fix the issue myself and he gets it fixed. I've brought in aftermarket parts to have installed, and he's happy to help. For the quality of work they provide the prices are fair. They also DON'T call you trying to push random additional services. The only down side is since they're so good, at times it's hard to get an appointment, so if they can fit you in, take it! The woman answering the phone was super helpful and receptive. I had my car towed there and stayed in constant communication with the receptionist. It was a Friday and they would be closed over the weekend so i had to leave my car there which I was not happy about but they made me aware of that ahead of time. Come Monday they were still fixing the mechanical issues (which were a lot) but the receptionist kept me In the loop about a reasonable time table and pricing. I picked my car up on Tuesday and they went over everything with me while addressing others concerns I had. I wish this shop was located in Tampa because this would be my go to mechanic! read more

My husband was the one to visit this auto shop but he had a great experience so I'm writing this on his behalf. My engine light came on in my car and he brought it in and was told that the evap system had some sort of leak and it would take a day to deal with. He brought it back a different day and after more thorough diagnostics they discovered that there was no leak. There was a potential issue with a delayed start but that turned out not to be a real problem and more a tiny glitch of that specific year and model of the car. After a full 2 days at the shop, all that had to be replaced was the faulty gas cap which caused the engine light to go off. I bought this car used and with it being 20 years old, I was eager to have it inspected further to see if there was anything we missed and they ensured us it was in good shape considering its' age. They gave us a few tips with maintaining it since many of the parts of this car are rarely, if at all, being manufactured anymore. I'm so grateful for their honesty and not trying to sell us on anything that we didn't need. As much as I want to do business here and support locals. This place is robbery. $170 for an oil change?? Seriously?! They over charge and it's sad. I would bring them so much business but they never cut me any deals and what's worst is they over charge for basic stuff. I'm writing this review cause the last time they rubbed off wrong on me. I went in for only an oil change. They charged me $25 to remove a nail from my tire without asking me. Charging someone $25 to remove a nail is ridiculous. If someone is bringing you business and paying your over priced rate you should be courteous to remove a nail from the tire for free instead of trying to get over on them by just charging them and not even telling them. Not cool. Not returning here because of the overpriced antics. And this isn't me bad mouthing a business. This is just how I feel as a customer. read more

My food trailer got a flat in the middle of a Friday night on Bumby and we were able to limp the poor thing into the parking lot of Dynamic Auto. I saw on their website that they did tire service and also I could book an appointment online which was awesome because at least I could write a note to them explaining the surprise giant food trailer with a busted tire and rim in their parking lot. My wife and I called Saturday morning and the machine said they were open at 10 but when we arrived just after 9 they took us straight in and started hunting down a tire immediately. They didn't have the exact trailer tire in stock, and again it was Saturday, so they arranged for a courier to bring a tire to the shop. They estimated that it would be done by 2 (which is when they closed) They were so, so nice and called all over for us until they found a solution. We were told we would get a call but we came back around 2 and were told that the courier hadn't come yet. Back on the phone, they tried to hunt down the courier but were told that there was no one available and the warehouse was closed for the weekend. We told them it was okay and that we would wait until Monday but we had told them earlier that we had a food truck event that night and they were determined to get us there. She called somewhere else and then left and went and got it *herself* and brought it back to the shop. It got changed in a heartbeat and then they filled up and checked all of the tires, topped them all up to the right pressure and sent us on our way. The tire, rim, *personal delivery* and incredible service was so much less than it would have been to get a midnight tow somewhere before any of the work got started. They really saved the day. So, to sum up, we surprised them with a giant food trailer in their parking lot Saturday morning and they spent the whole day (even after they closed) bending over backwards to get us on the road again. This family takes their small business very seriously and we will 100% trust them with our business again. Thank you guys! I had my serpentine belt replaced and booked through the app Open Bay . I got there and they didn't have the new belt ready to install and had to wait for an auto parts store to deliver it . When they did , it wasn't the correct belt so I had to wait till the mechanic drove and picked up the correct one . At that point I was going to have to come back for another appointment.. The mechanic assured me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes . It was , and it seemed to be installed correctly . I had to return again about a week later because i discovered they forgot to put the engine cover on !! :( read more

Although he works on all things with all vehicles, his specialty is Toyota's, working on them for years and studying beforehand in Japan for four years. The fact that I'm female has not affected the price. My experience has been the worst I've ever had with a mechanic. I advise you to look elsewhere, or at the very least, shop around for other options. I, too, saw the high ratings and thought this was a no brainer. Communication was incredibly poor and had additional problems with my truck AFTER repairs. I haven't been able to drive safely for weeks. If you have literally any other mechanic that seems honest and hardworking, I suggest you take it. You've been warned. If you care to know details, keep reading. Without being contacted prior to picking up, my truck was returned to me in worse condition (loud grinding sound). After paying $563 for the original problem, Dynamic Auto then quoted me another $575 to repair the new problem. (Update: I had to go to a different mechanic who quickly identified the issue as extreme over tightening and quickly fixed it for $300.) My story (with details) - I paid $563 to have work done on my rear differential gears and bearing. During the test drive at pick up, there was a new loud grinding sound. I was never informed of this issue or contacted about other repair options prior to picking up my truck - this was a complete surprise to me. The mechanic, Frankie, told me I would need to pay another $575 (only parts, no labor (I was quoted roughly $275 by other salvage part dealers in the area)) to replace the entire differential if I wanted to fix the grinding. That would be $1138 total. The next day, I took off work so that I could test drive my truck with 4 other mechanics in the area to get other diagnoses on what was wrong (I didn't tell them I had my car worked on). Each mechanic, independent from the next, told me the problem is my rear differential gears and that it's potentially very dangerous to drive the truck. They told me that a entirely new differential wasn't necessary to fix the problem and each quoted me around $300 (parts and labor) for the repair. I can say that Frankie did recognize his faults and gave me a choice to select a cheaper differential but without any warranty. Regardless, I have taken my truck to get fixed by another referred mechanic in the area. I can't believe my truck was returned to me in this condition and the grinding problem not resolved or even discussed with me prior. I have now been spending the past couple of weeks dealing with this, while finding different transportation to work. I saw the reviews, just like you, and thought this was a no brainer. Unfortunately, that has not been the case and I wish I wasn't in the position I am now. I suggest looking elsewhere and good luck with your search. read more

Does exactly what you ask them to and explain everything that was done to ease the process of your next oil change whether it be with them or someone else. Stopped by this auto repair shop to get my check engine light assessed. The problem turned out to be a malfunction due to unclean fuel. They advised me that once I added clean fuel to the tank, that the check engine light would go away. I didn't pay a dime for them to look at my vehicle and they were correct in their diagnosis. Not sure why there are no reviews for this place! My hubby and I live within walking distance which is really convenient as we've had a chance to go here a few times, leave our car and just walk home. The owner and his wife are super friendly. Don't be taken aback by entering and finding their little boy playing with toys in the waiting area lol. It's a quirky place but that fits with the Milk District I think. They're always honest with prices and repairs and that's not easy to find. They're also always busy and keep really convenient hours-which is another good sign. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience! I put off getting my converter fixed on my '06 Prius for years due to Toyota's $$$ quote to replace it. Thanks to buying the part online and coming here the total came to about 1/5 of what Toyota wanted. Not only that, they started on my car within minutes of pulling in and they were done in less than an hour. At the dealership you wait a minimum of 3 hours for anything!! Outstanding customer service and transparency. Electric window on Hyundia Azera quit working. Hollar Hyundai charged me $100+ (1.0 hours labor) to diagnose and then wanted another $900+ to complete repairs. I brought my car to Franke for a second opinion. He took the door apart and diagnosed the problem with me watching in less than 15 min. His wife then looked up the part and showed me the list price for a new motor ($299). Total cost for repairs was $399 which is a savings of over $600 compared to what I would have spent at Hollar Hyundia. Franke did the work in half the time and I left feeling like I had been taken care of instead of taken advantage of.
