While they didn't pick up from my hotel unfortunately, we took a quick Lyft over to the Hilton Garden Inn Orlando Airport and Mark was there right on time to pick us up, even calling as he pulled up to let us know he was arriving. The van was clean and comfortable and everyone in our van was on the same cruise, which meant we had only a couple stops to make before heading right to the port. The price per person (about $25 plus tax) was cheaper than a Lyft and I know that next time we are going to Port Canaveral I need to stay at one of the hotels they come to and save a little extra $$.

At 6:07pm a staff member announced that there were several busses dropping of people on the other side of the airport and it would be about 20 minutes. One of these buses was for our line of people waiting. There was one large tour type bus outside and the line adjacent to me was the line for that bus. I noticed while I stood there for 30 minutes that bus was there for 30 of those 30 minutes before it took off. By 6:30pm no buses had arrived and there were only 4 people behind me and after watching the last bus sit and wait for people to arrive and fill up. I decided I was done waiting and I left. Used Mears to save money but in my opinion it was not worth it. I had been travelling all day and just wanted to get to my hotel so I ordered ride-share who picked me up in 5 minutes (once I found the ride-share area at the airport) and was at my hotel in about 20 minutes.

The service started some years back, then stopped during COVID and was re-launched in June 2022. I have utilized Minnie Vans multiple times throughout my visits and have always had a positive experience. Disney partners with Lyft to execute the Minnie Vans; if you're on property, Minnie Vans will be a vehicle option to choose once you open the app and input your destination. When it launched there was one set price no matter where you were going, though recently I noticed that the price varies based on your destination. Minnie Van has a number of features that sets it apart from a typical Lyft. First and foremost, the drivers are Disney Cast Members, not Lyft employees, so the customer service is at a different level. They are also very sociable and will engage you in conversation during your ride. The cars are consistently clean, can seat up to seven, and offer extra features like a car seat and charging plugs for a variety of phone types. I've never had to wait too long for a car - maybe 10 to 12 minutes at the most during the busy periods. The only drawback (if you can call it one) is the price. Minnie Vans are a premium service and charge a premium price. In a way it's a little ridiculous - the prices are 3 to 4 times more than a typical Lyft to the same destination, and for that reason I would only utilize it if I have money to spend and it would be a big inconvenience for me to get to my destination otherwise (like going from resort to resort). The ride is a great experience, it's just really expensive. Overall, Minnie Vans is a great service - there are many features that elevate it above a typical rideshare, and it has that Disney touch that adds to the experience. The price will keep me from using it regularly while on property, but I'm glad that the option is there.

I called him a week prior to our trip with my payment info, and again, received a receipt via email. On the day we disembarked, Ray showed up right on time. His van was very clean, and I appreciated that he didn't manhandle our luggage! We were dropped off right in front of the doors for WestJet - bonus!
