After 1 year of bringing our daughter here, we pulled her from the program. The owner Jeff and the manager Carol have showed that they do not care about the safety of my child. My daughter spent a year working with them 3 hours a day, 3 days a week. They continued to work her through injuries and assured us they were looking out for her and not pushing her too hard. She was promised certain things that never happened. When we requested a meeting with Jeff and/or Carol to question why they were not delivering on their promises, they both declined. Which was the last straw, so we pulled her out. My daughter will now spend the summer recovering from severs disease. They really showed their true colors towards the end and I wish I knew this sooner. The unprofessionalism is amazing as I can't figure out why a business owner or manager would not want to meet with the people who are help paying the bills. At the end of the day their business is doing well and neither one knew who we were. So not important enough to meet with I guess. read more

We were members of the Orlando Metro East location off and on from 2017-2023. This review covers only their tumbling class, birthday parties, and recreational gymnastics. I cannot comment on the competitive team experience. Tumbling- No clear progression/levels which causes a major safety concern. Students trying to do a front handspring without even knowing how to do a cartwheel first. This also leads to very little progress as each class/coach has no real focus. I should have switched my daughter to DoubleDown years ago. She's learned more in a month there than she ever did at Metro. Birthday Parties- We've held two here. The ups are the affordability and having the entire play area to yourself which is just plain fun!! Don't expect too much from the party staff though. In addition, verify that you will have the whole space as we've attended some where there were teams training. Young kids recreational gymnastics classes- hit or miss depending on coach but unfortunately the coach overturn is constant. These can be fun and overall good for balance and coordination but don't expect your kids to learn too much unless they're willing to join the competitive side. Management at East location is poor. Overall I'm disappointed that I stuck with Metro for so long as I loved the proximity to my house. Waste of money. read more

Our child is in the preschool class. They have way too many little kids per teacher. The teachers try their best- but it's not possible to wrangle 7-8 little 3& 4 year olds. The preschoolers end up running circles around. Or just doing their own thing. 4-5 little ones per teacher is teacher is more than enough in order for them to actually learn. It's not cheap - this is what makes me complain. Not sure how the older classes are. Hopefully better than these little ones. Also the age groups that they specify on their schedules are not kept. So your 8 year old may be in a class with a 15 year old- and doing different skills. Again- not a good learning environment to learn for the younger ones. read more

My daughter was in the little kids class for almost a year. Every class is set up exactly the same with no record of progression for each child and no crowd control. It doesn't seem like the kids are challenged consistently. More of a free for all. Coach Billy was the best and always kept it different and interesting but once she left it went downhill. Gym is clean and plenty of seating areas to watch your child. read more

Absolute Best gym in the area. Always win all competitive competitions. Highly recommended . Great and safe place to learn gymnastics. Jeff the owner of the LB MCLeod location is a real piece of sh*t and should NOT be working with children. My son and daughter attend the after school program there. While the after school class was on the gym floor ( where they weren't supposed to be in the first place I found out) my son was told to sit down at least twice and stop touching the equipment. I agree he shouldn't have been touching it. Well he got upset and sat down and after the class was told to go back to the class he wouldn't get up. He just sat there upset and quiet. Jeff came over and told him to get up... still saying nothing my child didn't move. He went on to say, which my child could hear, to say he was going to call CPS and the cops because he never wanted to see his face again. Mind you, as mentioned before, the after school class wasn't even supposed to be on the floor as the manager let me know. I was told they aren't equipped to handle a child who is sitting there not saying anything and it was dangerous. How about you try being patient considering you don't know the emotional issues my child has and I pay money and trust that my child is safe mentally and physically not to be bullied by some man child who didn't have the balls himself to tell me my child couldn't return. But let's return to their safety aspect of thing, I was also told that a student had just recently spit on another child and in a time of Covid I would think that's pretty dangerous and in fact is something you could be arrested for in real life. I was told "the parent was told and situation was handled" yet the child is still there. In my child's situation he should've been told that his parent would be contacted if he didn't go to the room with the rest of the class and that we would all talk once I arrived. I was then told that they did tell him they'd call me- I'm sorry was that before or after you threatened CPS and the cops on him? The way the situation was handled especially when my son wasn't talking back or getting out of hand just merely sitting there upset to be told he would have CPS and the cops called on him and didn't want to be seen again is outrageous and uncalled for. My child is 10 years old and thanks to that bully my child started scratching at his arms when he was back in the room. When it comes down to it yes my child can get easily upset and has been in therapy and we have been trying to learn different coping skills but deep down he is a sweet caring kind kid who cares about others and doesn't need be treated this way by this guy who OWNS a gym and works with kids every day and say he's not equipped to handle that..... if that's the case then why would decide to own a gym teaching kids???? Or were you just having a bad day and think kids aren't allowed to have their own bad days? It's safe to say I do NOT recommend this place read more

My child was put in dangerous situations and made to play games he felt uncomfortable about. He didn't feel cared for and supported. They use the MINIMUM amount of teachers that they can and the teachers are overwhelmed by the amount of students they are caring for. The director of the program is totally unavailable and the teachers are not qualified to handle any situations. In one situation, a phone call to me was not made when it was absolutely required according to their policy and common sense. Do not trust these people with your child. read more

On Monday (07/12/2021 @5:30pm), we took our son to his trial class. His instructor was Angie, the first 15 minutes involved a warm up exercises and stretching which my son had difficulty following because it was his first time being involved in an activity like this. Unfortunately, during the warm up exercise and stretching the instructor did very little in instructing my son to follow the activity but instead directed 95% of her attention to the majority of the class who obviously had experience. After the stretching routine the class made it to the uneven bars. The instructor took the class to the bars where each kid took turns hanging on the bar and having each kid touch the bar with their toes while hanging on it. When it was my son's turn the instructor assisted my son by helping him hang on the bar and lifted his feet so his toes would touch the bar. At this point my son's feet was touching the bar and his head pointing towards the ground. All of a sudden, my son lets go of the bar and hits the ground hard with his neck and head. As my son was falling, I could see that the instructor made no attempt in catching my son as he fell to the ground. When my son hit the ground, you could see his neck and head fold over to the point his face was touching his chest during the impact. This is a very, very bad and possibly damaging fall, my son could have ended paralyzed. As my son laid there crying in pain, The instructor showed no remorse in her face as she kneel next to him. The instructor picks up my son and carries him over to us and says "it's a soft mat and he is just in shock" and basically played it off as if nothing happened. The instructor provided no apology or remorse of an incident that she could have prevented but due to her lack of attentiveness, lack of focus, lack of concentration, and improper spotting my son got hurt and paid for her mistake. The following day I left a message with the company since management was not available to express the horrific experience. Management didn't call me back until I sent a detailed email, pictures, and video about the experience. Apparently, the email got there attention because I received a phone call from the Manager (Cary) and she said that after reading and seeing the pictures the instructor (Angie) will be terminated for what happened because what my son experience should not happen. On Tuesday (07/26/21) I went back to the Orlando Metro Gymnastic to see if the Manager was true to her word by terminating Angie but unfortunately Angie was still working and instructing the same class that my son was in. Apparently, the manager's word can't be trusted. Our experience with Orlando Metro Gymnastic has been disappointing and regretful. The instructors' inadequacies, incompetence, and unsympathetic demeanor just shows the quality of instructor that Orlando Metro Gymnastic has to offer. For the parents that are interested in this gym please skip this gym, there are other gymnastic gyms that will give the appropriate attention and care to your precious ones. read more

I'm so happy we started going to Orlando metro. The entire staff is so accommodating and very friendly. We love all the coaches especially coach Anthony, shaylah kiara and Sam. My kids look forward to going every day after school and attending the open gym and parents nights out. If I could give zero stars, I would definitely! At first, we thought the gym was the absolute best, but soon after, we learned the horrible truth! My daughter started out in the recreational classes. Very soon after they wanted her on competitive level 1, not even 2 months later, the coaches noticed how great she was doing, and at that time they invited her to level 2. That's when all the problems started! Their communication is horrible, to say the least. To pay over $600 a month, the communication should have been immaculate! Fast forward to the one time I asked for a payment extension for time travel. I was told my daughter couldn't practice even though the class tuition was paid for that month. I was told they paid for all the competitions at once. I then started to question management because we were told differently in the meetings prior, and that's when the true colors were shown. I was told it was none of my business what they did with the money I paid them. She went further to ban my daughter from each Orlando Metro Gym in Orlando, all because I had questions about the money and needed one simple extension! This is insane to punish a child because you all can't take a parent's questions! I'd be hesitant, especially if you're black!!!!!! They put on a great face, but they are truly disgraceful read more

This location does not take care of the children and they obviously don't care about the security of the kids since they release them and don't have any adults making sure that the kids are picked up by their caretakers. I'm so disappointed in their lack of care and respect for both kids and families. read more

Office staff was very helpful and my daughter has always had great instructors. Long benches for the parents to sit, wait and watch. Some days the kids had pop corn and there use to be a icy machine. They also offer after care in which the kids also gets gym time. The groups are large so unless the child is in a competition class, they aren't getting extended time with the coach. You can sign up for additional classes like cheerleading and tumbling where its more focused. read more

As the mom of a visiting gymnast, I was SO impressed with not only scheduling the practice times but how we were greeted...as well as how we were treated. Very often, coaches just let visiting gymnasts kind of do their own thing. Not here. Input and corrections were invaluable, as well as ample praise. We had my daughter's fourth birthday party this past weekend. It was about 15 kids and about 40 people total. The facility was great and had room for the kids to run around, and lots of options to keep everyone engaged. The coaches were amazing! Patient and caring. They made sure everyone had a good time, regardless of ability. I strongly recommend this place for birthday parties, especially as an indoor venue when the weather gets hotter. My friends and family had a great time and I got so many compliments on the party. read more

I'm so disappointed with the Baldwin location. They allow children to run about unsupervised outside the building next to the street. The coaches there do not care to actually coach at all and sit for the majority of class. The children do not learn at all because the classes have to be combined due to poor management and lack of staff. The front desk workers are quite rude and rarely provide accurate information. All in all I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere for the safety and happiness of your child. read more

We love this gym! Coach Anthony is great with the kids and is awesome about teaching technique while they have a fun time doing it. Ms. Julie and the front office staff are very nice, helpful and have always been very attentive to our needs. We have done many of the after hours events as well as the camp program all of which my daughter loves. We definitely recommend Metro Gym to all of our friends and have recruited at least 4 other families to sign up all of which have loved their experience here. read more

Best gym I could have asked for! We have been bringing our daughter here for almost 2 years and she just loves it! She has just moved up to intermediate and has made more progress than we expected for sure. At first we were nervous of course, but seeing the improvement and how the coaches take care of their kids, we are reassured this was the right place. The facility looks wonderful and the staff seem friendly enough, but the summer camps are just a revenue stream with no real childcare or gymnastics training involved. When you go to check out their programs they give you a trial class for free, which is nice, but is in no way representative of their camp which consists primarily of movie watching. Ultimately, the camp is a waste of money, time, and mostly importantly, your child's intelligence. The classes may be something to consider as long as the right coach is involved. read more

Nickeled and dimed to the max! Don't expect to get anything more than your lesson. Your childs recital to see what they've been learning...either you pay extra or you don't get to see it. Walk down the street with them in the Christmas parade...yes you have to pay for that too! Being charged late fees before the classes had even started for the year after a long Christmas break was just the end for me. I live in the community and I am willing to drive FAR not to have to deal with this anymore. They are so unwavering it's distasteful. The sad part is it's a nice facility which is why I gave it 2 stars not 1 and it's the children who end up suffering. read more

Honestly they have a terrible policy that requires you to go in person to withdraw your child and then still charge you for the next month. This is after they fire your child's coach without any warning so there isn't really a coach just subs that fill in. Find a better gym, don't waste your money. read more
