We had already decided on hours diring a prior phone call. The text included a photo of Eli (love that!). Eli explained everything and had material samples that I could examine. Eli explained that the doors are custom made to my specifications and that Den Defenders handles everything, from estimates to the manufacture to the installation. We decided on a price (pretty high but, believe me, worth it!). The delivery date was in 2.t weeks. Today, 2.5 weeks later, with the date and time negotiated in a prior phone call, I received a text telling me that Juan would be my installer and giving me his photo (did I mention how much I like this policy?). Juan showed up on time and communicated well. Before leaving, he showed me the door, explained maintenance, and walked me through my new keypad lock set. I was honestly pretty nervous because the entire sliding door had to be removed from the track, and the technician handled it by himself. Once the new rollers were installed, the door slid like new again. The second time, I called because one of our single-hung windows wouldn't open. When I explained the issue over the phone, Luis immediately had an idea of what the problem might be and even told me the name of the part that likely needed replacing and the cost of the job. Looking back, I probably could have Googled it and attempted the repair myself since it ended up being a fairly simple part that only took a few minutes to replace. The repair cost me $120, which was worth it to have it done correctly without the hassle. After the initial call, Luis was easy to communicate with via text, responded promptly, and was able to come out within a few days. He initially gave me a 2-hour service window, but after I explained that we don't live in town, I asked if we could meet at a specific time and he was happy to accommodate. She said she was here to take a door of our pre-existing cabinets as a sample. BUT SHE HAD NO TOOLS AND COULDN'T TAKE ONE OFF ITS HINGES! She took pictures and measurements again (I had to help her take pictures). Then my contractor convinced me to stick with them because he said he would have the cabinets ready in 4 days. Nearly A MONTH LATER Jose sends pictures of cabinets he made that DO NOT MATCH and has the gall to ask if he could come FOR A THIRD TIME to pick up a sample cabinet.
