This place is really nice and the environment is really inviting. It gives the vibe of an upscale restaurant but you don't have to dress up. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the fried perch plate, blackened chicken Alfredo and added a salad for each meal. The food was delicious and we had plenty of the pasta left to take home. For only 3.99 i added the Orleans side salad - it was really good. I always add a side of hush puppies when they are on the menu and YUM! My only regret is not trying the jalapeño grits. read more

Wait staff was great, Jake and the other bartender were awesome! We got the Crawfish Dip (7/10) it was more cheesy than I was expecting it to be, Shrimp and Blacken chicken etouffee (9/10) added chili pepper flakes for that 10 out of 10. Also a cup of gumbo (9/10) and a side of red beans and rice (8/10). The view was lovely from the bar, a good fine dining spot in Perry. I would definitely recommend y'all try this spot! read more

This is a very upsetting experience for me as I was looking forward to eat here this week. The restaurant looks good and promising. We went here for a Saturday lunch. I liked the ambiance and the seating area. My fiancé ordered pepper jack burger and he liked it. I ordered the salmon almondine, that comes with two sides. I chose hushpuppies and mashed potato. The expo served us our food, funnily enough the salmon had a butter sauce in the side even if it was lacking the mash potato. I let the expo know that my mash potatoes were missing. At first when i tried the hushpuppies I thought it looked really good but when I bit it, it was very mushy and undercooked. I let our server know, and when the expo brought out the new hushpuppies, 20 minutes after initially getting the meal, I asked about the mashed potatoes that still had not come. Turns out the kitchen was out, and never told us. My fiancé had to ask for my one side be compd, so they just took his drink off. To be honest I wish just took a chance with the blue cheese burger, the salmon itself is ok (I don't even think they added a sauce on top) I liked the orleans fries my fiancé had. I was wanting to get the revenge rebel cake but since I am really upset I didn't bother. Overall, I think there is a miscommunication with the wait staff and the kitchen because after 30 minutes of eating my half salmon with no sides, they told me that they don't have mashed potato. I tried Orleans for lunch today. I won't be going back. While the service staff were quite friendly, and the ambiance was nice, when my food arrived the fries were cold and there was a coarse black hair in them. The waitress was apologetic, and offered to replace my order, but I wouldn't trust anything else that came out of that kitchen, if their hygiene standards are like that. If you do decide to go, check your food very carefully before you eat it. Very disappointing. read more

My husband and I needed some good food after traveling a long way. We found this wonderful clean restaurant. The service was excellent our waiter Timothy very accommodating and just pleasant to talk with. The food was fantastic husband had the shrimp and grits and I had salmon almandine Timothy talked me into trying the grits for my side wow yes yummy for sure. Would recommend not using only corn meal to cook those and perhaps trying the more appealing flour bath! The burger was just okay. We expected cheese lettuce, Tom, onion, pickles, mayo--with ketchup and mustard on side. It came with a little cheese (not good quality), iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickles. There was zero mayo! Flavor was just okay. Weirdly and unexpectedly, Hardee's fast food burger is better! Service was great! Atmosphere was great! I went there by accident a few weeks ago. I hadn't been in since it was RUSTY's. I believe they enlarged it combining two structures. The architecture is exquisite, it took my breath away watching the decline of downtown Perry! In thirty years the little corner block has a touch of elegance with the modern updated Restaurant. I won't review the food because I had two friend playing live music in two other establishments so I was at that point doing my own pub crawl tour. I will say they didn't have the highest price on a double Black Jack neat though, the bar staff were very personable considering I knew no one inside but allowed me to wonder around and introduce myself. The service was great. Tyler was very helpful and attentive. We ordered the crawfish dip, and I honestly wasn't too impressed with it. Don't have to get it again. Today, I took my team to lunch at Orleans, a place I had previously enjoyed. However, the decline in service quality over my visits, including today's, has been disappointing.  Today, August 30th, was the worst. First, there were way too many flies. This is not an over-exaggeration. One landed on my bread as the waitress, Krissy, sat the plate on the table in front of me and brought me more bread.  Next, I ordered the fettuccine pasta dinner with chicken and shrimp. A fly landed on my shrimp--just one shrimp but on my plate. Krissy never replaced my food, nor did she ask or attempt to remove the food where the fly landed. Krissy did tell me she spoke to the manager, and the manager suggested she offer me a free dessert, which I turned down.  When Krissy suggested I eat around the fly, I was taken aback. This was not a situation where such a suggestion was acceptable, especially considering the prices at Orleans. Wow! Really! Next, my friend said, "Can I get her free dessert?" I told Krissy to bring me a chocolate cake as long as it was not a brownie. She did bring it, but it was not to go. When she put the cake in a to-go pan, she threw it in there so horribly that my friends said, "You should ask for the manager." Also, it was a brownie, smh!  Regrettably, Orleans in Perry, Georgia, is now on my block list forever. I can't help but wonder how many other customers Krissy would have asked to eat around the fly. read more

This place was incredible!! We stopped here traveling through to FL. My husband wanted to try something different than the average Chili's, Outback's, etc. this place did not disappoint. Firstly, our server, Amethyst was a gem. No pun intended tended. She was attentive and prompt. When I asked about wine selections, she could have steered me to the most expensive wine (like most places), but she listened to what I was looking for and nailed it! It was late, so while my husband really wanted the pork chop, we elected light dinners. He had the New Orleans salad with shrimp and loved it! The blacked shrimp was not spicy, but a beautiful, delicate flavor. I had the Cesar salad with a single crab cake. I did not realize I could get a small version of the salad, which Amethyst educated me. It was perfect size! And the crab cake was delicious!! Not a lot of filling like most crab cakes. It was true to the crab! At the end of dinner, Gwen, the manager came by to ask about our experience. What more can I say? Next year, this will be our go to stop for dinner during our travels. I'm grateful Gwen's concern for our satisfaction. The ambiance here was not as subdued as we expected. Its atmosphere is bright and welcoming, and an open/airy dining experience. When you are in the mood from some kick@ss food, THIS is the place to go! As you stroll down the street with an awesome vibe and enter the restaurant you immediately know this is going to be an experience. The manager had a million watt smile and the architecture inside is amazing with glass barn doors and open stairs to the second level. We were so fortunate to have Sierra as our server. Her smile was only outshined by her impeccable recommendations. Torn between a few choices she guided us to the perfect entrees (not just an up sell with the most expensive thing on the menu as some establishments tend to try) and they were winners for sure. The shrimp and grits were probably the best my husband has had and my filet (I was craving beef) was mouth watering delicious and tender like softened butter. We had crawfish and fried pickle appetizers that were delightful but were wise enough to not finish them and save room for our entrees and possible dessert which proved wise after deciding to share a bread pudding. It had depth, flavor and such a perfectly creamy texture that I'd order another to go if i was smart. If you are ever within driving distance of Perry, GA do yourself a favor and get yourself to Orleans on Carroll. You will NOT be disappointed! read more

While the system declared that no tables were available for the entire evening (from 4pm to closing) our quad group walked up to the desk, were warmly greeted, and immediately seated at a nice table in a less-than-50% filled ground floor dining area. The upper floor was closed off. Opentable/RESY should lose their contract or O on C will continue to lose business unnecessarily. What a great find. Walked in off the street looking for a good place to eat, asked for a table and was told we have an hour wait. As I was walking out the door, the manager/owner stopped me and said if you don't mind the bar, service will be much faster. I did and what a great idea. The bar had one chair and as soon as I sat down, the bartender was getting me everything I wanted. Sweet. I've been to New Orleans a few times, and the food was here in Perry was better.
