The only other service center that could do the work couldn't get me in for several weeks and when asked who they could recommend, they told me that Tom's was the place to go. Tom told me exactly what he was going to change, charge, and do - and he called me to come in and physically showed me an issue with my pads where they had eaten into the brake disc and gave me a fair price for replacement before doing the work. Tom was able to do the work the same day and I have not had any issues with it since! I definitely will go back to him for any needs for my car and will recommend all of my friends to do so as well!

They have absolutely ruined my car. I first took my car to…read moreget it looked at because I had just bought it from a private dealer and wanted to make sure everything was good. Midas gave me a whole list of things that needed to be fixed which was a total of $2k in repairs. I believed them even tho the car was showing no signs of having problems. I took my car in a second time to have the brakes changed since they said they needed to be replaced which was a cost of $540, when I got my car back I started noticing a weird sound coming from my tires. I then brought my car in again to get the thermostat and cam shaft sensors fixed since they said it needed fixing, I told them about the sound I had been hearing in my tires ever since they changed my brakes and they said they will take a look at it. I took the car in at 1130 and waited all day, it wasn't until 5pm when I went back and asked for an update and they then told me that they broke something in the car so the car had to stay overnight because it was going to take a while to get the piece they got stuck in there out. They gave me a loan car at no cost and was told I can pick my car up the next day. The next day I went and paid $909 for those repairs, they told me nothing was wrong with the brakes so I took my car home but I noticed the sound on the tires got way worse. When I turned on my car the next time after taking it home, my car was having trouble turning on. I took the car back to Midas to get it looked at because that sound in the tired was horrible and my car kept sputtering trying to turn on. They told me they took the car apart and nothing was wrong with the brakes again but that they found a new issue with the car that was going to be a $1k repair. The day after they checked the car, I am driving down the freeway and my car starts beeping and a light turned on in the dash so I immediately pulled over and noticed smoke coming out of the front of my car. We were ready to get the car towed when luckily a police officer pulled behind us and took a look at the car and noticed the tube that connects the coolant to the engine was not plugged in which caused all of my coolant to leak out. My car was not perfect when I took it to Midas but ever since they touched my car, my car has been worse off. I genuinely feel like they have been ripping me and my husband off, and rather than fixing things they told me was wrong, they have broken my car.

I went to Wally's Mitsubishi in Watertown after I bought my car elsewhere. They took time to explain my radio and other features in the car. Every repair I've had done here was completed correctly the first time, and usually within a day or two. I think the longest I've had to wait was 3 days, but that was because it took that long to get a part. Geyer's provides an estimate up front, but in my experience the estimate tends to be on the higher end. I've always been pleasantly surprised to be charged less than the initial estimate. Speaking of which, they also offer a military discount for soldiers and veterans, which takes a little extra off your total. They've also been really good about communicating, calling with the estimate and again when the job is completed. Everyone is courteous and helpful and takes time to explain what needs to be done or what was done if you have questions.

I have not forgotten, though, to memorize exactly what my car needs when I take it to a repair shop. Before I had my oil change done at Watertown Auto Repair, I asked the guy at the desk how much it would cost for a full synthetic oil change for my 2012 Toyota Yaris sedan. He asked me how much oil my car took. I told him 4 quarts. After the hundreds of oil changes that I have had done on my car over the last ten years, I knew exactly how much oil my car takes. He told me $52 before taxes. After my oil change was done and he gave me the bill, it said $58.95 before taxes. I asked him why it cost more than the original estimate. He pointed to the bill and told me that it took 4.5 quarts. Obviously, I knew that this was not true. I looked in my manual but it did not have the amount of oil needed. It was not a repair manual. So, I went online. Over and over reputable websites stated that my car takes 3.9 quarts or, as I said, 4 quarts. Finally, I found the coup de grâce, the actual manual at Toyota with the oil specifications. Funny, Toyota seems to think that my car only takes 3.9 quarts of oil. Since they manufactured the car, I would think that they know how much oil it takes. Watertown Auto Repair must know something that the manufacturer doesn't or he lied and cheated me. Of course he did. Check out my images. I even provided the URLs. It might seem like a small thing, just a few dollars, but if I can't trust Watertown Auto Repair with a small job, I can't trust them with a large job either. Next time, I could be overcharged $1,000. That will never happen because I will never go back there again. Of course, I already told him that at the time.
