Chilaquiles w/ Carne Asada and green sauce.

This was my first time trying Ortega's Diner. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The ambiance is trendy and I love the Valentine's Day decorations. The food was good. I think I enjoyed the beans most on my plate. I also had a bite of their pancakes and they were pretty good. I'd eat here again.

Came here for breakfast to try it out. Place is nice but a little warm at first. Our server greeted us promptly and was friendly and happy to answer any questions. The menu is HUGE (variety of Mexican and American) and quite intimidating and had me a bit nervous about food quality. Here's how it went. 1st: chips and salsa aren't free and were $3.99 but good and not sure if they are u limited as we didn't ask for more chips when finished. Agua Fresca Jamaica: 8/10 Size is decent for 4.99 and good Chilaquiles: 6/10 The menu price is 14.99 for chicken or carne asada and charged an extra 3.99 for chorizo (the store bought one) which was interesting as chorizo is cheaper than both. Also, the creama drizzled on top was an extra charge and only comes with one egg. An extra egg was (2.25) Sadly, The tortillas were cut into tiny squares and my eggs were over cooked. I asked for over easy and it they were over medium (I love the runny egg yolk). Our server didn't come back and check on us to ask how our food was until we were nearly done. They did get a rush of people so that attributed to our lack of service. Ortega omelet: 7/10 omelette was wayyyy overcooked. Comes with two sides of your choice and toast.

Fantastic Breakfast and Excellent Service! We had breakfast for two at Ortega's Diner and loved everything about it! We ordered the huevos rancheros, chilaquiles en salsa verde, and a Belgian waffle topped with fresh strawberries, along with two house coffees -- all for under $60, which is an amazing deal for the quality and portions. The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff was super friendly and attentive, great ambiance, making us feel right at home. Excellent service all around! Highly recommend Ortega's Diner for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying breakfast.

We absolutely love this place! From breakfast to dinner options you cannot go wrong! They also have some of the best salsa in the IE! My favorite is the country fried steak breakfast, skillet breakfast, chilaquiles breakfast, pescado frito dinner plate, and mozzarella sticks! Also their orange and mango agua fresca is amazing! The service is always 10/10 and the place is always clean! I highly highly recommend this restaurant! It's hard to find quality food these days at a reasonable price but this place has it!

My husband and I always pass by this place and finally decided to come here! I was happy with the service ! The inside was clean and inviting. They have so many food options and we came here for breakfast, I got the Chilaquiles plate with carne asada and red sauce, love this plate and how tasty everything was! Check it out when you are in the area

Great Mexican food and diner food. Got the mojarra fritta (fired tilapia) and came out great! Not the largest bit was fresh and seasoning was just right. Also got the shrimp burrito (no beans and wet), thing is a beast of a burrito with soo much shrimp not just rice like a lot of other places will do. Wet sauce was a chilli Verde and was very good! Agua fresca are just the right sweetness and huge cup. Give this place a try of your hungry and want good food with good portions.

Kiddos wanted the one breakfast item that I don't cook - pancakes, so we took a drive to check out Ortega's. We were greeted and promptly seated. Kids enjoyed the pancakes and the bear face was a nice touch. Country fried steak and ham were both good. Saw the sign for Micheladas so will have to try some out next time. I think I also saw mimosas being taken to a couple tables. Everyone here was friendly and attentive but our server (unfortunately didn't catch her name) really took care of us. Our coffees stayed filled and when I asked for a cup to go, there was extra coffee poured in so that I had a full cup when I transferred what was in my mug. Service like this is what I would gladly return for.

Starving in mid afternoon and having no knowledge of the city of Fontana, I stumble in this place. Clean, roomy and greeted with beautiful smile, what else can a hungry guy ask for. Instantly the chips and salsa appear and I'm telling you, I devoured them. Not only because I was hungry, but because they are delicious. Chips apparently are made fresh here daily. Menu is extensive. I was surprised at the quality and quantity of items. In the mood for a burrito, I ordered the burrito supreme. This thing is massive. Digging into it, had me thinking twice while being able to finish it. Let me tell you, in award, it was delicious. Fresh guacamole, delicious Mexican rice, and a special spicy salsa that they brought as a side dish. Great service, and quality food. If you're in town in Fontana, definitely look this place. But make sure you come hungry.

    Pastrami sandwich! Bomb!!!!!

Ortega's recently opened in Fontana. I came in to give them a try and decided to go with a pastrami sandwich to go with Onion Rings instead of fries. The misses went with a Chile verde Gordita and an Asada Gordita. Let me tell you that this might be the 2nd best pastrami sandwich I've ever had. There's a place in LA you might of heard of, Langer's Deli, they're pretty good. But this pastrami sandwich here at Ortegas was absolutely delicious! You know the food is good when the food puts you in an even better mood. The misses really liked her food, she said I cam bring her those anytime. Our waiter was amazing, friendly and was very attentive to our needs without us having to ask for it. The ambiance is nice, simple but very nice. And lastly, I appreciate that the music that was playing was not loud, I don't like having to shout to my wife when the music is loud.

First would like to say that the prior restaurant the hot spot is missed! The menu is exactly the same as Lucy's Diner, page for page! Ordered the patty melt, shrimp sampler, onion rings and cheeseburger. Salsa was very watery but the chips were good. Food was fresh, served hot and pretty tasty! Overall satisfied, just wish there was some originality with the menu here.

We went here on a early Thursday morning just to get some quick breakfast. We thought all of the food looked like AI pictures and when we got our food we understood why it looked AI. The food was super good and the service was fast and our server was very friendly and attentive. It's a smaller place with a breakfast diner vibe. I'm sure their dinner food is just as good as the breakfast we had.

I visited Ortega's Diner today base on reviews by Yelpers !! Tried their pastrami sandwich with onions rings. I added Swiss cheese to kick it up a notch that being said it was fool of flavor plenty of pastrami ate only half Leftovers . The Onion rings are true crunchy perfectly cooked up there with (The Hat) if I have to critique only thing is the lack of onion rings. Overall great place I'll definitely be trying them out again. Thanks Yelpers Good Choice

I cannot believe I have never written a review for El Chilitos Mexican Restaurant. It's our go-to…read morefor Mexican take-out and yes, we order take-out once or twice a month, which in our house translates to "no cooking." What I always order (and I'm boringly consistent) is Two hard shell shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. The tacos always arrive with the perfect amount of meat, crisp lettuce, and a tasty amount of cheese. The shell stays crispy and never turns into a soggy tortilla which is a win! Rice is fluffy and well seasoned. The Beans are creamy, savory, and basically soul-warming! I can never finish the beans the portions are good. The Hubby gets the carne asada burrito, which is so huge it could double as a pillow after a long day. He swears it's delicious and I've "sampled" a bite and yes, the flavor is there, very satisfying. Chips and salsa come complimentary even with to-go orders! It's around $32 for my taco plate and the carne asada burrito is a bit more but you're getting a lot of goodness for your bucks. We always order take-out, and somehow - somehow - the food lands back home still warm. Magic? Maybe! We've never eaten in so I can't speak to the dine-in vibe. Reason being it is a tiny restaurant but it always looks clean and has a sitting area for to-go orders. My only tiny gripe when we call to place an order, there are moments where I'm on hold while the staff seem to have a full-blown conversation. Ten minutes later, they remember I'm on the line. It's not a deal breaker, just a "huh, okay" moment I file under "worth the wait for the fix." Bottom line: Expect satisfaction from El Chilitos. It's my dependable, no-surprises, "I'm craving comfort Mexican food" go-to. Consistent quality, reliable flavors, and a taxi-cab of a burrito. My pictures are horrible but I promise to eat there again and share more!
