I had reserved the semi-private space area for my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary. I had about 30 people attend and let me tell you that the service we received was top notch. Starting with Nancy who answered my questions and met with me to show the area. She explained everything thoroughly and was flexible in making changes to the time and other details in the contract. She was great. Secondly, our server María was on top of it and came to me on a regular basis to make sure everything was accounted for and she served everyone timely and with an amazing attitude. As for the food, everything was delicious and they ensured that the buffet was replenished regularly. The cost for the event was very reasonable and I highly recommend for private events. We absolutely love coming to Zendejas Mexican Restaurant. The service here is truly something special. The waiters are always so friendly, attentive, and accommodating--it never feels like you're just another table. We usually sit out on the patio (which is beautiful with the water fountain, plants and traditional Mexican music), and even out there, they never forget about us. They check in often and make sure everything is perfect every time. What means the most to me is how they treat my son. He has special needs, and the staff actually remembers his order--we don't even have to say it. That level of care and attention goes above and beyond, and it doesn't go unnoticed. My daughter and I went today for Taco Tuesday, we had seen the video of your server on Instagram talking about Taco Tuesday yesterday. I had not been to this restaurant in a very long time so it was nice to try again. The tacos are 3 for $7 or $2.50 each each. They had chicken, Carne Asada, Carnitas and Al Pastor. Our favorite was the Carnitas. The person working the grill was very nice. The server gives you a ticket and you go get your tacos from the grill. We love the onions and the jalapeños and all the salsa options! They have yummy happy hour drink options. We had a raspberry margarita on the rocks and a red sangria. We had a lot of fun. Everyone was great from the hostess to our server! The only thing I would comment that I didn't like was that they charge for chips and salsa, $3.95. I can't recall any Mexican restaurants, charging for this. It is always complimentary. We did order it. The salsa was really good and the chips were good. Of course no one needs to order the chips and salsa if they don't want to we just wound up doing it, but I probably would not order it again. I definitely would come back!!!!! they have happy hour in the bar area with appetizer and drink specials so I want to check that out next. We hosted a private party out on the patio at the end of June. The atmosphere was perfection, the temperature was nice and cool, ceiling fans going, the lovely sound of the water feature/fountain, and gorgeous live greenery and lively Mexican music. We chose to have the buffet with enchiladas, shredded beef tacos (my favorite), chile verde, beans, rice, salad and FRESH, made by hand, right in front of us, corn tortillas! Every single bite was so delicious. All my guests were filled to the max. I personally enjoyed a spicy mango margarita and coconut cocktail, (both were to die for) and the ice tea was freshly made, which is something I always appreciate. Our servers treated us like family and were very attentive. I would HIGHLY recommend booking Zendejas for your next event. This is our second time hosting here and once again we were so impressed. I Was invited to zendejas for a birthday party. They had reserved the entire outside patio and the back room. The setting was very pretty. Food was set up right outside the bar. It was "serve yourself"/buffet style. Menu included cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, hard shell tacos, Chile Verde, and a green salad. Every table has guacamole and tortilla chips. Not sure if this was also part of the restaurant menu, but There was also a dessert table which included pan dulce, conchas, churros, cupcakes, empanadas and different type of candy. It was a nice touch. There was also a mariachi playing all the jams. Our servers were a little overwhelmed but they did they're best. Afterall, It was a huge party. Now, the food. I had high hopes. I'll give it a 3.5 - the place is beautiful, no doubt about that. Maybe I went on a off day, but we were there for Taco Tuesday. We sat outside in the patio & the taco stand is right off to the side. The guy preparing the tacos was really nice. However, I wish he would've left the tortillas on the grill for a bit longer, he flipped them so quick, my tortillas didn't really have much color on them. The meats also didn't have any char - it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't the best. Could it be a fun spot, sure but I don't think I'd come back, given that i'm sure there are other options around. Or maybe i'd come back to check out the other things on the menu or happy hour. read more

This review is for the taco salad. The portion is huge but when I order something with the words salad in it I expected salad components. I got soggy lettuce lost under a heavy hand scoop of beans plus the shredded beef had a super wet texture so unsure what happened but the lettuce drowned under all of that. The beef didn't taste like beef and tasted more like carnitas so unsure if the server got my order wrong or the kitchen did. Shredded beef should be less wet. I wouldn't get this again. They have a lunch special that drew in my coworkers. The pros? Ambience is beautiful and service was friendly and fast. I'll have to try something else the next time in, because both coworkers seemed to have enjoyed their orders. read more

My experience was very disappointing. I originally came in to order chips and salsa to go, but I was told it would cost $17.79. At that price, I decided to cancel the order because I realized I could spend a little more, dine in, and receive complimentary chips and salsa with my meal. I ended up spending about $32 and ordered the barbacoa. Unfortunately, the customer service was poor from beginning to end. My server was not attentive and seemed bothered whenever I asked for something. He never checked on my table, never asked if I needed a refill, and I had to request one myself. Even then, it took a long time for it to arrive. When I asked for to-go containers, I was met with another unfriendly attitude. The overall atmosphere made me feel like I was inconveniencing the staff instead of being welcomed as a guest. No one asked how my food was, whether everything was satisfactory, or if I needed anything during my meal. The lack of customer service was noticeable from the front counter staff to my server and even the employee who provided the takeout containers. I haven't eaten here in about 15 years, and after this experience, I don't plan on returning anytime soon. When I go out to eat, I expect friendly, attentive service that makes customers feel appreciated. Unfortunately, this restaurant fell far short of those expectations. We had a party of 30 the room was enough for all to be comfortable and the service was excellent, Maria was our server. she was kind, caring, and so willing to fulfill our every request. The food was decent, too much Oregano in the red salsa, not enough flavor in the green Salas. The fajitas were good, since everyone is cutting back on meat because of the price, they add potatoes to the fajitas, over all they tasted pretty good. The tacos were not as desirable. The chicken tacos were dry and crunchy. The beef tacos were the same. I would go back again and try some other dishes. Amazing experience! Our party of 21 was welcomed and taken care of with impeccable service from start to finish. We hosted our daughters fifteenth birthday in their patio area and from start to finish it was great. The catering manager was responsive professional and extremely easy to speak with. The staff was professional, fast and nice. The place was ready when we got there and the waiter was always serving drinks and laughs. The food was great and everyone in attendance loved the food. I got the chili relleno plate and an horchata. Not disappointed. I devoured that whole plate! And at 7 months pregnant, I think that saying something considering my stomach is smooshed. I was actually surprised by the spice level on the poblano! I've never had a spicy poblano but this one had some heat. I enjoy spicy so I was pleased. The rice and beans were great. I had worked with Nancy in the past to plan a big luncheon for my family and it went perfect, so I decided to contact her again this year to do the same thing. She is so nice and easy to work with and she makes you feel so relaxed that everything is taken care of. I really appreciate her comminication and all you have to do is show up and enjoy your event.
