All around, Dr. Workman and her staff Jackie and Sherry have exceeded my expectations for my sons treatment. They are all very thorough and accommodating. I have personally been to many dentists over my years and through the Dental Network of Poway, Dr. Workman Orthodontics came highly recommended. From the minute you walk into the office you will be greeted with a very aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The staff is instantly engaging. The equipment is state of the art. No shortcuts were taken. It is very hard to keep an 8 year old boy present in a dental office for an hour, especially mine. I can't say enough about Dr. Workman and her amazing team! She has literally changed the life of my little guy who just wrapped up his braces with her. Dr. Workman treated me my second go around at braces. I was a naughty teen who didn't wear her retainer and my teeth went back to their original position, maybe even worse. At 26 I was scared and hesitant to go through ortho again... could I really do this at my age, and could I be compliant and wear my bands and retainers this time around? All I can say is the woman is a sweetheart and she knows her stuff. She explained to me WHY its so important to have straight teeth. She not only explains, but SHOWS you so you understand. Her and her staff are remarkable. From Dr. Workman herself, to the assistants, to the girls up front. They all show that they love what they do and they enjoy their patients. I would highly recommend this office to any and everyone I know. Oh and as for the braces.... I couldn't be more pleased with the way my teeth turned out! When I started my journey with braces at age 31, I couldn't even imagine how orthodontics could correct all the issues I had (a 100% overbite, for one). I have been embarrassed by and self-conscious about my teeth since I was in middle school and I'm so grateful to have such an amazing crew use aligners to straighten my teeth. If you are looking for phenomenal orthodontic work, this is where you'll find it. Dr. Workman is detailed oriented so the work is excellent and done right the first time. That applies to every step along the way. I can't say enough good things about the staff as well. They've had 2 receptionists during my two years of having braces and both were wonderful. The shining star goes to Sherri though. She is exceptional with assisting Dr.Workman in a vast amount of procedures and is very personable. Dr.Workman's offIce is beautifully created. The atmosphere reminds me of a spa, which brings a soothing feeling. The bathroom and all areas are exceptionally clean and organized too. The reception area has a tv playing Disney or other similar shows for the kids, as well as kids books and magazines for the adults. There is ample seating in this area along with the seating offered where the client chairs are. They are comfortable too! I was instantly impressed when I started coming to Dr.Workman and I still feel that way after 2+ years. I had my son come here and they were awesome with him too. They have high expectations for the work they produce so they need the patients to do their part too. That means if your child is wiggly in the chair, they won't be afraid to tell them to hold still. It made me happy to know my money was well worth it. And the magical part of it all is that my smile is incredible. I felt like I was taken care of and of the utmost importance while in their care. I could write an essay on how wonderful Dr. Workman is at doing her job but this review will have to do. She is the best at what she does. Without going into all the painful details of our treatment plan, I want to express how knowledgeable, precise and excellent she is at being an orthodontist . She was the third orthodontist we had seen for the same problem but the first to get the issued fixed. She treated my child as an individual with his own unique set of teeth. We didnt feel like a part of a cattle herd. If you have been to some other ortho places, you know what I am talking about. Individualized treatment and percision. I think she might be a perfectionist and though i wouldn't want a perfectionist judging me on my cleaning skills, when it comes to my kids teeth that's what I want, a perfectionist. Even my childs dentist was impressed by her work and course of treatment. I dont know where to even begin in writing; ! I am terrified of the dentist, orthodontist, anything teeth related! I have never had a good expeirence in any of the following so this is a big deal in writing a review ! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Workman over a year ago in which we discussed her dreams of having her own practice. We briefly discussed my teeth and how she could help me improve my smile at that time I said when you open your doors I would love to come see you in your very own practice. I kept my word and last week I had my first consultation with Dr. Workman. Upon entering I was super nervous. Her staff was so inviting, I believe her name is Jackie she was bubbly and fun followed by Shari who's equally as fun, effecient and we got right into business. I immediately asked for a tour because I have never been in an office that was so full of natural light; I almost thought that was rude to ask, but the ladies gave me a tour where I was greeted by Dr. Workman. I pointed out subtle details in the office and felt comfortable in the space immediatly.... I can go on and on but lets get to the good stuff! My consultation was so cool I have never seen such cool tools in a dental office. she had these cool images of my crooked smile and proceeded to tell me how she could give me the smile I dreamed of... lets just say the sun,moon and stars were aligned; she had an opening the day of my consultation; with my crazy schedule it worked!!! We met with 4 orthodontists before deciding; 3 were referrals but we found Dr. Workman via web search and liked her bio, reviews and location. She was not the least expensive estimate but it was competitive. We chose Dr. Workman because we really liked that she explained her process and philosophy and answered every question we had so thoroughly. We also loved the close-knit feel of the office - and this was apparent on every subsequent visit as well. Everyone is so positive and enthusiastic and they go to great lengths to make you feel relaxed and supported. Dr. Workman personally saw my daughter on every visit and while the staff are all very experienced and competent, Dr. Workman would often take one last look before we left, because she is such a perfectionist . And she not only remembers our names, she remembers little details about her patients and the families, which just helped make each ortho check-up as positive as it could possibly be! In the few cases where a wire was scratching and once when my daughter broke a bracket, the staff were able to squeeze us in quickly and take care of her. For regular visits, I don't think we ever waited for more then 2 minutes in the waiting room and yet our visits never felt rushed. My daughter (14) had her braces removed 2 months ago (after 21 months) and her teeth look beautiful!! We are extremely happy we chose Dr. Workman both for the quality work and for the positive experience we had throughout the process.
