It's located near the Whole Foods in Short Pump and has a lot of free parking out front. You're able to do curbside pick up if you want too. I usually go inside because I enjoy looking at all their goodies and daydreaming about outdoor trips. In the past, I've gotten climbing gear, camping gear, and apparel here. While things are pricey, I appreciate what great quality their stuff is. And I while I have never used this before, it sounds like they repair the stuff you get from here for you. I just learned on a recent trip that you can use your receipt to get free access to state parks if you're a member which is so awesome. I'm excited to use this for Pocahontas State Park next time I go. The people are always super kind here and willing to help with any questions you may have.

I stopped into Dick's the other day for a can of Mace. I walk downtown daily and have had a few…read morealmost-altercations with drivers who don't understand they need to stop for pedestrians who are halfway across cross walks with the walk signal, so I wanted to arm myself in case I ever encounter an extra aggressive motorist. I used to have a can on hand when I worked in a fairly dangerous part of North Philly (that I never used), but that stuff expires after a few years, so it was time to refresh! When I walked in with my mom, we were immediately greeted and assisted with finding the Mace. They actually had a large selection of cans, which I thought was pretty random but nice. I chose the pink one without tear gas for $15 and was quickly on my way. The rest of the store seemed clean and well-designed, but I didn't stick around to browse. This location is in the Willow Lawn shopping center surrounded by a bunch of other chains, but parking was easy on Sunday. I'd return for sporting goods or some more Mace if needed in the future. Let's hope I never have to use it!

Hello Green Top. My name is John Futrell. I was in the store around 2pm today. I came to get some…read moremore, "Moebas" I had a very good experience with the previously purchased ones that resulted in one lost, but some decent 2 and almost 4lb Largemouth! I arrived today and saw some on the bottom of the glass display back in fishing. There was another brand on top of the Moebas so I couldn't see if there were any others besides the, "Mimizu" option. There was one gentleman helping two men with some reels and braided line. After a few minutes he went over and told another staff member that he had another customer that needed help. The other staff member was leaning surf rods up against a shelf to the right of where I was standing. He is a white guy, buzz cut with some thinning on top, he had, "a chew" in which he spit into a soda bottle, green shirt and a mustache. He came up front and I spoke. I asked him if there were any other color Moeba down below. He replied, "This is all we have!" before I was even finished speaking. I was going to say that I couldn't see completely what was on the bottom of the display because there was another brand of similar lures on top. I told him that, and he looked down to see. He was not friendly or pleasant at all like Gary and Justin have been in the last two recent trips. Very short and he seemed annoyed. I asked for two of the Mimizus, and told him I was going to continue shopping. I dealt with similar reactions at the old location, which I why I stopped coming to Green Top for several years. I too know what it's like to be busy at work, but if I was short and rude to my patients before their procedures, I would definitely be in trouble. What impressed me: -Everything is clean, bright, and in good repair. There's a heavy duty sewing machine and repair station visible in the store. It's clear he repairs any imperfections before things go on the shelves. -The employee(s) are incredibly knowledgeable. -The place has a ton of outdoor books and trail maps. Stop by if you want some ideas for hikes in the area. When I stopped in I picked up repair and re-fill work on a Feathered Friends sleeping bag and brought my fiance. We ended up leaving with a bag full of loot. In her words, "I didn't expect to like that store but the clothing is really nice!" We will certainly be back.
