    Free fruit platter for Birthdays

Went here to celebrate my bday with friends and family. We decided to do the hibachi since we havent been to one for quite sometime now. Our chef was ok, he didnt do much flame tricks because we had a toddler with us. He wasnt as funny as the other ones I had before in the past. He seemed just tired of that day and seemed drained out. They gave free fruit platter with firecracker for my bday and played bday song which was nice.

My go-to sushi spot by the beach starting today. The spicy girl roll was delicious. The fish was fresh and the delivery came quick. The shumai tasted like any other shumai I have had. The salmon avocado roll wasn't bad either. I can see the hype. Will order from here again for sure!

We found them to have pretty nice sushi rolls at a good price and would definitely come back. Waiter was nice and food came quickly.

We have been dining at Osaka for more than five years. It has been consistently very good. The ambiance is pleasant. The service is attentive. It is a BYOB, we bring Saki which they heat up for us. The portions are generous and tasty. The prices are reasonable. This evening, we had another good dining experience at Osaka. We had entrees of Sushi Deluxe, $18.95 and Hibachi Scallops and Shrimp, $25.95. Both were delicious. If you want good Japanese food in this area, you can go to Taka in "hip" Asbury Park and end up with a bill twice as expensive (Taka is NOT a BYOB) or go to Osaka in Bradley Beach. A no brainer.

Sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered the Osaka Special for 2 which was plenty and included sushi, rolls, and hand rolls freshly prepared. Service was quick and attentive. I would definitely return.

Sushi has always been my favorite food. Due to the quarantine period, most Japanese restaurants are not open. I was so excited to find Osaka was open in the mist of this chaos. I promptly ordered 4 rolls: shrimp tempura roll, eel avocado roll, spicy yellowtail roll, and salmon avocado roll. I don't particularly like ginger and wasabi. i I I requested it not be place to conserve waste. Sadly the rolls were medicore. It did the purpose of curving my sushi crave. There are definitely better locations for sushi. The rolls were poorly made and skimpy. They were falling apart as I picked them up. The eel roll was even seasoned with eel sauce. When I requested for eel sauce, I was given a half filled tiny container of eel sauce and charged $0.50. No soy sauce was provided. Would only return as a last resort.

Gummy shrimp tempura, warm sushi, mushy rice.

Moving onto the actual service, waitress took the alcohol order at the same time as the food order; Boyfriend who used to work in high end food service said it's usually a bad sign. Was proven wrong, thankfully. Ordered the Yuzu drop, thought it would be more punchy but it was on point for yuzu. He got the eel dragon and firecracker rolls, I chose the bluefin tuna and salmon nigiri (with one unagi/eel, which I hated) We absolutely devoured our food, which is why there are no pictures attached to the review. The salmon was so buttery smooth, and the tuna was so meaty and flavorful, I ordered an extra helping as sashimi! IT IS THAT GOOD! Besides the banging baby at the other table (not the restaurant's fault) it was one of the best walk-in experiences I've had to date! Will definitely recommend and repeat visit!

The sushi is fresh and tasty, we enjoyed the seared scallop appetizer. My sushi (Tiger roll) was magnificent. The Yuzu lobster roll could have had a bit less rice in the roll but was otherwise very enjoyable. The combination of fish in this roll paired very nicely together. Taka has a vast menu with many options from appetizers to specialty sushi options. They provide alcoholic and non alcoholic mocktails for those of us not interested in consuming liquor.....the mocktails are fantastic. The only thing that made me rate 4 instead of 5 stars was the staff needs a bit of work on serving. We ordered an appetizer and were also given two additional small plates since we were sharing this item. When we were done with the appetizer our specialty sushi plates were bought out and the same server left the three empty plates from the appetizers on the table instead of removing them. Dessert was absolutely decadent and moist (I omitted the whipped cream since I don't like it) but the shortcake was perfect without it. I look forward to returning to Taka and trying more items on the menu.

We were seated in the covered front deck area which was separated from the interior restaurant. It was an 80-85° day but the temperature in the space was relatively comfortable. We had grabbed a few bottles of white from the conveniently located liquor store across the street. I love me a good BYOB establishment. We started with the tuna pizza, an order of oysters, garlic shrimp, beet salad, and the Bibb salad. (Just a side note, they want you to place your starters and entrees at the same time). Everything came out in a reasonable time and was all very good. The Tuna pizza was not at all what I was envisioning but was a pleasant surprise both presentation and taste wise. The shrimp were interesting because they looked like they would be super flavorful, but just felt kind of flat. Both of the salads were delicious, I really enjoyed the Bibb and would highly recommend it. I had the Bluefin and it was really good, the portion size was fair and the fish was extremely fresh. It was far from the best bluefin I've had, but would recommend it nonetheless. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees as well and overall I would say we had a great time. It was a bit pricey, but it's Spring Lake so that was baked into the cake. Will visit again, and this time I'll remember to order the lobster roll.

They use olive oil over seed oils for example, and ingredients that actually make you feel good after you eat. We started off with the raw bar--fresh clams that tasted like the ocean in the best way. Then we had to try the famous tuna pizza, and wow! I get the hype now. It was the perfect combo of crunchy, creamy, and salty and I'll be dreaming about it for days to come! The garlic shrimp was delicious and had a savory juice, something you'd find in a Spanish tapas restaurant which was perfect for bread dipping. The spaghetti with clams was a classic but elevated dish and came with a generous portion. We tried the ahi tuna lo mein from their specials and that was a fun addition. It doesn't taste greasy so don't expect takeout quality. Their sushi was seriously impressive and some of the best I've had in NJ. We got the kamikaze roll, ninja roll, and chef's nigiri. Totally fresh and easy to eat. Even the mocktails were next level. We tried the Heat Wave and Chicha Sour. Both so unique and had us feeling refreshed after, not sluggish. Of course we ended with dessert. The banana bread pudding made in-house was a huge treat. So delectable and moist. The lemon sorbet was a great way to cleanse our palate and was very refreshing. This place is where high-quality meets creative! Even the ambiance reflects their sustainable beliefs. They have a beautiful coastal inspired design in a minimalist way, using lots of natural textures in the designs. The service was fantastic and attentive. I will be recommending this to all my family and friends!

Even with coconut milk, the smoothie was SO CREAMY and really hit my thirsty mouth and hungry tummy spot. We'll be on the lookout for other seasonal flavors and will enjoy their classics. Everything is made fresh so they can be very accommodating on any modifications to your order. I am a very picky eater and a self-confessed worst vegan because I dislike many main vegan veggie fillers. Fins' veggie option is not pre-mixed, so if you do not like something, they can easily omit it from your order. It was so easy! The staff is extremely friendly and I was able to order inside with my dog and then enjoy the pumpkin pie smoothie and mexicali burrito at their outdoor tables, where leashed and friendly dogs are allowed. The storefront is right on Main Street and Brie said hello to every passerby in the area, but it can be a bit noisy due to traffic! We appreciate the staff bringing out a cup of water for her too! The restaurant has a great atmosphere with bright colors, island-style music, and they serve up surf-inspired food in a casual environment, all while being wallet-friendly. Burritos, tacos, salads, wraps, a special gluten-free menu, smoothies, and they even offer catering!
