On top of that, the proportion of rice to fish was absurd. The fish was sliced so thin that it looked more like prosciutto than sashimi, and the sashimi portions suffered from the same problem. The rolls were packed with an excessive amount of rice, clearly used as filler, while the fish portions were minimal. Worse yet, the rice lacked the texture, flavor, and balance that authentic sushi rice should have. To make matters worse, the selection of fish was extremely limited. There was very little variety, both in the sashimi and in the sushi menu. For a restaurant that claims to offer authentic Japanese cuisine, the lack of options was surprising and disappointing. Perhaps this restaurant excels at cooked Japanese dishes, and that may explain the positive reviews, but for anyone specifically looking for quality sushi and sashimi, this is definitely not the place.
