Will not recommend this guy for anything charges you 60 bucks for a phone call $250 for a $60 part and $268 for labor

I needed my dryer to dry. They came in, found the problem, fixed it, and showed me the other problem caused by the other guys when they came to clean out the dryer line. Requested repair for refrigerator. Replaced part (charged $500.00). Plus add the service charge in top of that. Refrigerator did not work after part replacement . Instead of focusing on the problem, he insisted the refrigerator door was not being closed completely. Promised he would return, he dropped the appointment. I am so happy with Osborne's service, my dryer was making a horrible screeching sound for awhile, finally called and Russell came out the next day. He explained exactly what needed to be done and how much it would cost. It had to be done and he did it quickly and courteously! I would highly recommend him! read more

Osborne's Expert Appliance Repair are not worth your time. After arriving this afternoon, they diagnosed the issue with the kitchen dishwasher in my home by plugging in a cord next to a disposal and then said that they couldn't fix the electrical because they were not "Electricians". Spent MAYBE 10 minutes from the time he walked in the door until he left. While he was on time with the time frame I was told, and he was friendly with the way he talked, he still charged $128 for something I probably could've taken care of if not for my health condition at this time, and went on his way. $50-70 I could understand, but $128 for something that took less time to do than to take and charge my card for money I need for more important issues is outrageous and a ripoff. read more

Made an appointment and they were supposed to be at my house between 4pm and 5pm. Left work early to meet them and they didn't show up. At 5:00 I called and texted, no reply. I finally got a call around 5:30 and he said he gave me a two hour window which was not true. He was so rude on the phone that I told him not to come! I want to support small business but they need to keep their word, be responsive and professional. read more

Completely unprofessional. He charges $100 just to tell you that he can't fix it. Then I give him my credit card / Visa card. To pay for the amount but he was too incompetent to know how to run it. I have used this co. several times and I am now thoroughly disillusioned with them. My washer was leaking water. Russell came over. It was not the washer, the drain pipe in the wall was clogged. The drive to my house cost me $95; my property mgrs cleared the clog. Another time he replaced the water valve to my washer, it cost me $420. But the best part was when he replaced a computer board in my fridge (he said that was the problem, right?) I was so happy to have my fridge working that I paid the $650!! When he left, I saw no amounts of any kind on my invoice receipt! Cost for the parts - blank; diagnostic fee - blank; labor costs - blank, taxes - blank! Replaced a part but 2 days later when I went to use it was dong the same thing it was before he charged me a outrageous price to come out and supposedly fixed it. Now he won't return my phone calls. I called Russell and he arrived the same day. The service was quick. He said the repairs were more than the replacement. Sears and AE Services charges $129 to come out and service. Russell charges less. He didn't repair anything so can't really comment on that. But if you want a fast opinion, he can do it. read more

Russell, Osborne Appliance service = extremely unprofessional. We had a repair charge of $500.00. (Did the repair prior to advising us of the repair charge)! Less than two weeks later, the refrigerator was STILL not dispensing water/ice. Called Osborne out again, accused us of leaving freezer door ajar!!! (Why I would spend $500.00, without prior authorization , by leaving the freezer door open, is sheer nonsense)! He was never able to detect the problem. He did put in another part....on his 3rd visit, no charge. However, the refrigerator, was NEVER repaired. a complete waste of our time and money. Our ultimate resolve was to purchase a new refrigerator . I will NEVER use Osborne Appliance Repair, and absolutely do not recommend it. We paid 1/3 the price for a new refrigerator , on a repair charge, with actually no progress, not fixed. Sincerely disappointed. I would recommend Andre's Appliance Repair. I will use this service again 100%! He was very professional and told me what was wrong before fixing anything. There were things that would probably go out later on and as a preventive advised me what I should do and I appreciated that! He was very fast, very clean- even cleaned behind my dryer for me! Don't contact them for any services! Even if you're desperate, go somewhere else! They charge $98 just to "check" your appliance, not to fix. They are rude, intrusive, and unprofessional. They don't have a legitimate company/contact place and be aware of any payment you use if you decide to contact them. Do yourself a favor and not cause yourself more stress and financial deficiencies from this so call "company". I felt cheated! He charged me $500 just to replace my ice maker and fix the ice dispenser, but 1 week later the ice dispenser didn't work again so I called him and he refused to fix it. We had a great experience with Russell today. My wife and I just moved into a brand new home and we needed help installing the washer and dryer. We were able to set the appointment quickly, he arrived on time and prepared. He brought the parts he needed with him and worked efficiently. He obviously has a tremendous amount of experience and was able to troubleshoot 2 challenges quickly. I only wish I would have read the review below. I recommend to search online first. I was charged $98 just to confirm what I believed to wrong with my dryer. To fix the dryer I was being quoted for $170 worth of parts. I ordered the part that I only needed for less than $20 including shipping. I will not use this service again. read more

Worst customer service ever! To begin with Russell is extremely racist! He's stubborn he says he goes by what the books says and he will just show up to your house and read the manual and write you up for 100 bucks a visit! He doesn't know what he's doing seems like he's never installed an appliance in his life! If you argue with him there's no way of winning he's always right just for the fact that he has a "license" and that's all he holds to! I've used Russell twice. The first time was years ago. He blatantly over charged me with a $139 service charge instead of his normal $85. When I asked why he said because I could afford it. I was determined never to use him again. However, I had my freezer go out during the latest heat wave and my regular guy was out of town and I couldn't find anyone else in Merced who repairs sub zero. He charged me $366 and told me he could fix it for $2000. The $366 was just to look at it and tell me it was broken. My regular appliance guy came back to town today and had my freezer working again in less than 2 hours, including parts my bill was less than $200. I called Osborne's the day before Thanksgiving, as my tenants called saying the stove wasn't working and they were hosting the holiday. Russel came out the same day and fixed the problem. Unfortunately 4 days later the oven went out. He came out the same day as my call, and unfortunately it would cost more to fix than buying a new one. We have used Osborne's twice, and will not make the same mistake again. They over charged ($85) to show up and said that the repairs were either beyond what they were willing or able to fix, or the repairs were more expensive than replacements. We have had arguments over charges and repairs, and were treated very poorly. They treated us as though they had all the customers they needed, and didn't need our business; $85 down the drain. There are other options, try Barnard's in Atwater or find someone that appreciates customers and can provide the service. read more

Russell came to the house to diagnose a problem with my Kenmore Washer....He seemed very nice and professional....He told me I need a new circuit board and it was very expensive....$362....I said it s what it is and he ordered the part....I wrote him a check for $519.44 and he said he would be back Monday when the part arrived.....The next morning I got to thinking about the cost of that part and went online to Sears parts service and discovered the EXACT SAME PART was actually $145 retail! I have to tell you I was livid! I put a stop payment on that check and called Russell and told him I did not want to continue with the transaction. read more
