Also, we were asked when we were seated about food allergies and preferences, and we mentioned tomatoes, yet they ended up on our plates. Three Little Pigs (23 GBP) - The pork belly was a bit dry on the inside, and I don't happen to be a big fan of black pudding, but the rest of the dish was quite good. I thought the apple puree on the side was a nice light and sweet complement to the pork belly. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of this building on Princes Street and it is beautifully decorated on the inside with lots of historic Edinburgh framed photographs and a classy environment. I had a bit of a late dinner, but it was actually kind of empty in there with plenty of tables available. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The service speed is also fast. Overall, I thought Twenty Princes Street was a very high quality Scottish restaurant and I would highly recommend to both visitors and locals.

The seabass was lightly pan fried and my wife really liked her selection. For dessert, we had the cheese platter and toffee cake with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream. The food comes later, and its good as well, but that makes me wonder how long it takes for food to be served in the restaurant in general, since it would have been about 1.5 hours since we ordered and the food order was put in. It took a really long time to get the check as well so overall, I would say that the evening started out great but fizzled into pretty bad wait staff service. I hope its just a seasonal problem, since the space itself is really nice, they have a lot of food options and are good with allergy information an they are helpful.
