Stopped to have a drink and dinner. Food was good service was outstanding. Greeted at door was seated in bar. Mary was our server she came right away got us beers. After driving 6 states in 2 days and reaching the final destination to yet stop again because I was hangry. I SAW Oscar's! The menu has a wide variety of just about everything to choose from; sandwiches, pastas, main attractions being meat, then surf and turf choices, seafood choices and salads. I got the Salmon salad, no tomatoes, extra onions and the lemon dill vinaigrette plus capers were the added perk to my salad. Then finished the night off with a slice of raspberry marble cheese cake. We were about to give up on Limon, having tried several places that were either closed or packed. But then, we decided to give Oscar's a try. It was a good choice. It was quiet and had a nice atmosphere. The bathrooms were especially roomy and clean, and the decor of old movies all through the place was nice. We got sandwiches and burgers. I had the reuben, and it had a very good sauerkraut on it. My wife had a hot roast sandwich that had a spectacular brown gravy on it. My older daughter had a burger with a fried egg on it, and she liked it a lot. My younger daughter got a burger on the kids menu, and it was just as big as the adult burger for half the price. Fries came with the sandwiches and burgers (except for the hot roast sandwich that came with mashed potatoes). The fries were really good, with that really crispy outside from a good batter and a nice still soft middle to them. Of what we saw of Limon, which was not very impressive overall for dining options, this one was a good choice. read more

The food was so delicious tonight! The French dip is by far one of the best I've ever had! Ever!! The bread was amazing and I love the cheese they melted on the meat. Soooooo good!! Service was better tonight as well. Every time we've eaten here, the owner and his wife have been there. Although he is friendly and thanks everyone for coming, he seems pretty removed as far as helping an understaffed restaurant. So although they could have used a little help tonight, our waitress still held her cool and did a great job. Great find on our motorcycle ride out to Limon. I had the 8oz sirloin with loaded mash, steak was tender and delicious. My wife had the thin crust cheese pizza which was excellent. Son in law had the chicken fried steak and white gravy! Gravy was delicious. Will be back next time we are in town. read more

The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. Their version of "The Reuben" was tasty. Corned beef was lean, sauce and sauerkraut in perfect proportion. If you are in Limon you absolutely need to visit Oscar's. The food is great (I'm partial to the Big Easy which is an excellent take on a Cajun Pasta). The burgers are fantastic as well if you are a whiskey affecinado then you better check this out. The staff is great and the owner and his wife rock it in this gem in a small town. read more

We're driving across the country and stopping at all sorts of "truck stop" restaurants. This is, by far, the best yet. Fast service, clean, great food, and lots of movie memorabilia to look at while you wait. Also - Oscar's might have the cleanest and fanciest ladies' room ever! There are chandeliers and it is spotless! Very nicely decorated! If every truck stop in the U.S. had a restaurant like Oscar's, road trips would America's favorite pastime again! read more

The minute we walked in the door we were greeted with an enthusiastic Welcome from the owner! Our waitress Sherri was the best waitress I can remember having! We eat there Saturday and order cheese burgers chicken sandwich and taco salad. The cheese burgers were like hockey pucks. They were so well done it could of been beef jerky burgers. The people behind the bar seemed like they were as drunk as the patrons. Save your money go to McDonalds across the street you will get a much better burger over there. read more

I'm a trucker and stop here in town many times. Much better than that crap Country Pride next door or equal cr ap IHOP at the Flying J. Was not happy when stopped in town on New Years Day and they were closed. AAARRRGGG!!! So was Jenny's Mexican right next to them. Wow! Traveling for the total eclipse was challenging for local small businesses in small town, which typically do not get the numbers of people flocking for places to eat!!! The staff was very accommodating, let us know their challenges, I.e., we had a longer than normal wait for our food. I had a pizza, it was crispy thin crust, delicious! My husband had a hamburger, it was well done. Considering what they were going through, they pulled off the "people" part exceptionally! Avoid the fish and chips. You can get better at any Long John Silvers. My wife got the chimichanga. It was full of chicken. The pinto beans were edible but unremarkable but the rice was horrible. Dry and hard. Inedible. I got a take out turkey club once before and enjoyed it so I can recommend the sandwiches. Otherwise you're taking a risk.
