Sephora opened up and their selection is nice, with this location carrying higher end fragrances, skin care brands a variety of health goods. If you don't want to go to the Malibu Ralphs or CVS, you can always find a better selection here for great stuff. Its also a great place to find gifts if you live in the Malibu area. The staff is friendly, courteous and will even direct to you nearby stores in LA County if they don't have what you want in stock. This is a great place to shop in the Malibu Country mart!

I brought in a brand-new product in its original packaging that appeared defective and asked whether its value could be applied toward more than $500 in merchandise I was prepared to purchase that day- not cash back. Mandy Boblett, manager, declined to inspect or handle the product, repeatedly directed me to call Customer Service, rolled her eyes when I asked for clarification, and was dismissive and condescending throughout the exchange. Had a respectable policy prevented the transaction, I would have respected a clear explanation. Instead, I encountered no apparent effort to problem-solve or provide basic customer care. I ultimately left both the defective product and the $500+ purchase behind. For a store that relies on loyalty and client experience, this was a remarkable failure of customer retention. One poor interaction does not erase the many good ones I've had here, but when the person in leadership is the least interested in helping, it changes how you view the store. Customer service is not simply saying no; it is how you communicate, problem-solve, and make customers feel respected.

I bought Repair Me Wash, which is an expensive shampoo because it is high quality. When I was ready to use the bottle, I noticed that the shampoo had a yellow color (it's suppose to be white), the consistency was runny (it's suppose to be thick and creamy), and it had an unpleasant smell (it's suppose to have a fresh smell). It appeared that the bottle contained dish soap rather than shampoo. I went back to North Ranch Beauty for an exchange, but I got a lot of push back from two female employees who were extremely rude to me. Begrudgingly, they exchanged it. I checked the shampoo before I left the store, but found the same issue with the other bottle. At that point, the two female employees were yelling at me and threatened me. The owner, Fred, just stood behind the counter and watched. It's troubling that the store has no qualms selling counterfeit products and that the employees felt comfortable and were encouraged to treat me poorly. *** To the "manager" who claims they weren't present, but reviewed the camera: you were at the store when I was there and you were one of the employees that mistreated me. Your account of what happened is manufactured. (It's impossible to have that much detail just by reviewing a camera. Your dishonesty is alarming and reprehensible.) Your response is simply damage control to bolster the warranted low ratings for this business.
