I feel like this is the best kept karaoke spot in Orlando. Came on a Thursday night, wasn't crowded and the singers were really good. I thought there was a contest going on. It was that good. And, I felt like I was with friends in my living room, just having drinks, singing, and enjoying life. SHOUTS: Amy is awesome!!!! Our karaoke hostess Myra was fantabulous! My friend invited me to this Bar, they have Karaoke every night according to what I found out that night. The staff made me feel welcome and Its a really comfortable atmosphere, as if I had been there before. There's an extensive list of songs to choose from, and if not on the list you can ask and they may have it available. There were some really good, funny and outstanding singers, also, some that was just okay, I appreciated that because I love to sing Karaoke, however, hold your ears lol. OH SHUCKS! This place, whew! Love how there is a good dive bar in the mecca of the tourism trap of Orlando. Snuggled between the older hotels of I drive and the giant McDonald's is a rare pearl of a bar called O'Shucks. If you are looking for a good time to get drunk for cheap and listen/sing karaoke, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! My parents, always a lover of dive bars, came here about a month ago, and then brought me here on a Friday night. My dad, being a professional singer, sang a couple of songs and we were able to drink for pretty cheap and laugh at him as he did it. The bartenders could be a little more friendly which is why I gave them four stars. But for something different than the tourist bars and the over-priced drinks, I would say this is a welcoming , smoky breath of fresh air:) read more

It's been a while since I'd been back to O'Shuck's just because of general life and busyness. We popped in this weekend and it was good to be back! They have the same great staff and service and we were warmly welcomed! They still have awesome karaoke, a great mix of chill patrons to chat with, and great drink selection with well poured beverages for your drinking pleasure. The bar no longer allows smoking, so if this was a deterrent for you, it's a good time to check them out! They don't serve food, but you are welcome to bring food in or order Uber Eats or other delivery. This is certainly my happy place here in Orlando, not just because of the good drinks and the karaoke but the people that work her. They are all so personable, providing an amazing experience every single time I go and always being so supportive of those of us that are nervous to get up onstage and sing your hearts out. I love that they have so many different kinds of drinks and drink specials, my favorite beverage is the zero sugar Long Drinks. After Amy's first suggestion to try them I haven't stopped drinking them since as someone who has worked hard with their weight loss it's so important to me to have that as an option when I want to be social but need to count my calories. It's incredibly inclusive to know those and other zero sugar alcoholic beverages are available. Will continue my patronage for as long as I can, that's for sure! Hands down one of my favorite places to visit on each trip to Orlando (which is typically a few times a year but, postponed since pandemic quite a bit). I think everyone here is wonderful. The men the women, the host, and of course the music selections! They have an extensive karaoke list, beautifully articulated via QR codes and if that isn't good enough for ya'll, these's hosts have seen/heard it all and will most likely have your song ! I would not recommend this place, unless you are with a group of people and you are planning to spend several hours waiting to sing. If not, they will be glad to serve your beer and not tell you that you are going to wait over 2 hours. Also, the parking lot is full of suspicious individuals. Nice pool hall... service was good... we were there a bit early so no one was there besides us. They have karaoke but we left before it started no patrons besides the bartenders and maybe 3 regulars and the girl who setup the karaoke area. I'm no smoker so the smell was not for me very overwhelming... should invest in a better ventilation system. Spacious, nice bartenders, decent pool tables and if you can handle the smoke fog and smell this is a good bar to go too. read more

Hi! I was at O'Shucks once, it could be a year ago, but I never thought to leave a review. I have been karaoke-ing since 2003 and have LOTS of experience with good and bad hosts, friendly and not friendly bars and/or restaurants, etc. I used to go out to sing six nites a week, but my life radically changed in 2019 and i was left with PTSD & fairly extreme social anxiety, which sucks. I also now have a 78lb German shepherd who is my service dog. So we moved to E.Orlando in Oct 2021 and I immediately started looking for karaoke (not that I'd go, but in case i wanted to). I was speaking with my neighbor across the street and he brought up karaoke, and we decided we'd go one nite. He had heard about a different "7 nites a week" karaoke bar, so he suggested we go there. Now THAT place was a "dive bar" (like it was gross inside). When we walked in the bar was packed. We headed towards the back where they did the karaoke, but it hadn't started yet. My neighbor went to the bar to get us drinks and the bartender said we had to leave cos they didn't allow dogs in there. My neighbor came back and told me and i sent him back to tell her that she didn't have a choice and to order the drinks. He came back and said "they still said no and that we had to leave and were sending the manager over." The manager illegally escorted us out of the bar. I was livid and told the manager he was breaking the law with what he was doing. He informed me that he didn't care, which did NOT go over well with me so i called the cops. While i was on the phone with them and an officer was on his way my neighbor decided he wasn't interested in waiting around so we ended up leaving. I was still really mad. But I googled where to go for karaoke and O'Shucks popped up. (This is the POINT of my review). We drove to the bar, parked, walked in WITH MY SERVICE DOG, and were greeted by a very nice blonde bartender. We sat down at a table up front (with our backs to the wall). My dog laid on the floor under the table and no one even knew he was there til it was my turn to sing and he came up with me. I felt very comfortable at O'Shucks, like it could easily become my regular bar, if i could make myself actually leave the house. We got NO HASSLES from anyone regarding my dog. Drinks were reasonably priced. You guys had CIDER! And no one ever has cider, lol. It makes me laugh how so many people refer to O'Shucks as a "dive bar". It's not a dive bar. It's an Irish pub. There is a difference. A HUGE difference! I do wish the bathroom situation was different tho. Tiny in there, which is difficult with an 80lb dog, but we worked it out. As for the rotation, the only places I've ever gone consistently are places where the host keeps the order of singers the same and adds new people to the end of the rotation. I went to a show for awhile where they would do that for the first round, but 2nd round they would feed new singers into the rotation. So if you were 3rd in the first rotation in round two you were #9. And then you might never sing again because the next round more people were added in and now you're 27th. That isn't how you treat the people who bothered to show up early. Everyone knows what time karaoke starts. I finally stopped going cos it was ridiculous. I'm not sure what the rotation is like here as I've only been here once and we arrived late because of the drama at the first bar. I definitely want to go again, i just need to find out which nites are less crowded cos I can't do crowded anymore. read more

A first rate karaoke bar. They welcome the locals and the transients such as myself. The host is entertaining and fair about the rotation. She offered to let me sing one last song ahead of some of the others, but I declined. Come on, Fair is Fair. But with so many folks waiting, I don't believe she should sing. Oh well. The bar appears to be a local favorite. The bartenders and owner are great and like I said earlier, very welcoming. I plan to go back on Friday, my last night in Orlando. It is a full bar. They have specials for Pabst Blue Ribbon, 4 bottles in a bucket for $10. Not bad if you like that beer. Too bad I don't. Ha, ha. I had a great time. read more

When me and my friend came in, we thought we are being pranked. Prescription meds on the bar next to a drink, and bad singing. But that's not what I'll be upset about. This is karaoke. And EVERYONE should have fun. I won't even upset that after 3 times I gave between 80-150 percent tip and not even a thank you from the bartender. Any other place they will Buy you a shot. This place never disappoints. Been going since i moved to Orlando in 2005. I would take my staff & friends here regularly and we would all have a blast. The food hits the spot. The drinks are great. The prices are on point for being in the area that they are in. They cater to the service industry peeps wonderfully. One thing that really annoys me about karaoke bars is when you can basically pay to sing (see previous reviews). This bar plays fair, whether you get there when the doors open or late in the evening, you're gonna shoot your shot! They weave the newcomers in with the people who DID get there when the doors opened! The bartenders are attentive, the sound system is great, and the crowd receptive. It would be 5 stars except (wah wah wah) they allow indoor smoking. Who smokes anymore?? You know that kills you, right? . And my voice. I was there early and the smoke was eye watering but once karaoke started and crowd rolled in it seemed less pervasive. I was told they don't really turn the smoke eaters on until the karaoke buries the sound. Because they're loud. Like that guy singing Journey. Only Steve Perry and that Asian guy can sing Journey. They have merch! T-shirts! Koozies! Hats! Sadly, no stickers which is what I collect, but believe I left with a souvenir Microphone Cup. read more

Have to say being a bartender myself i can appreciate that it can get busy and hard to cope with a great volume of customers. However Jayson makes the job look easy from the moment we walked into the bar we were greated to great service with a friendly personality that stood out immediately. Jayson was very informative and to be honest helped us due to his knowledge of the area he gave us some great tips fun spots to check out and places to eat. If i was looking to hire someone in my bar i would make Jayson the manager. Due to that first interaction he was the main reason we kept coming back. In addition Shaun the karaoke host has made our evenings at the bar fun and humorous due to his natural friendly character. Cannot recommend this place enough. Very clean, very attentive bar keeper. The karaoke was amazing! Some of the best free entertainment I have ever had!
