This place has a typical pub atmosphere, sort of dark and moody. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is really good. We really like the Shepherds pie. It's a family friendly place, and customers and staff seems to know one another. We have been twice and it was the same vibe each time. We just felt uncomfortable because we didn't know anyone and felt out of place. Each time we went, there weren't many people, which made us feel even more awkward. In spite of that, we would definitely go back for the food. read more

We had a hard cider on tab that was good. We tried the chicken pot pie, which I thought was very good with a side of mashed potatoes. They somehow did not put my husband's order in so his beef pot pie came much later and we took it home. Let's take a closer look. First, we'll talk about ambience and service. Both are great. It has the feel of an Irish pub, somewhere between traditional and American style. So it's not one of those cathedral-like pubs, nor is it a sports bar that serves wings. It's its own category of Irish comfort, and it's great. Just like the people. This place is family owned and operated and it feels like it. Just super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked it. Next, the drinks. Quite simply, they have an awesome mix of local and Irish beers. Over 30 wines to choose from. And a full liquor bar with their own Irish-themed cocktails. The Moccasin I had was ridiculously good. Finally the food. It's all prepared by the owner, and there's no fryers in the house. So it's all suprisingly healthy Irish food. The Scotch eggs I had were the best I've ever had in my life. Done to perfection. The yolk was still moist and soft as wash the sausage. Then I had the cod, which was excellent. And tater tots, that were just normal, until they brought their beer cheese sauce out fo me to try, and BOOM, they were amazing. Plus the place is easy to get to from almost anywhere, as it's right off the 429 in Apopka. Like right there. So you can leave from downtown and be there in 15 minutes. Anyway, they've been around for almost 2 years and deserve more attention. Get some friends. Get in a good mood, and get in there! You'll be happy you did. I'm definitely going back soon. read more

Basic pub ambiance, friendly servers, and patrons. The food was really good with dishes having a bit of a twist making them more distinctive. Music drew a lot of people with reservations while we were there, but we didn't know about that and so we needed to leave before the music. They were sold out. On my first visit we had an older waitress named Chris who was rude and unfriendly. Luckily I have not seen her on my return visits. Their menu says they "proudly use an air fryer" which is odd because everything I've ordered here tastes undercooked and soggy... The owners are very accommodating, friendly folks and they'd do well to throw out the air fryer and just use a grill / deep fryer. What a delightful gem of a restaurant. My husband and I entered Stephie's Pub a couple weeks ago on a Sunday . I loved the jam session of guitars and violins !! I felt as if I walked into a pub in Ireland . We sat at the bar and was welcomed by Stephanie ( one of the owners ). We ordered the Bangers and Mash and the Reuben . My husband said the Reuben was the very best that he has EVER had . The Bangers and Mash was so good I really wanted to order one to go . Stephie's pub is a small watering hole with SHOCKINGLY good food and a large beer selection. The food is fresh, everything that is "fried" is air fried (!!!!!), and it tastes authentically Irish. Last time we stopped by I had the chicken pot pie since I hadn't had one of those since I was a wee lad...I've been thinking about it since. S O G O O D. The ladies that I've seen working have quite the personality, but the service left much to be desired. Food was good lots of meat and good flavor I would recommend that they throw the meat on the flat top before making the blarney the meat was still cold in spots but still tasted good. Stephies is a great Irish pub. They have live music too. The food is good. I have had the fish and chips which I liked a lot and it's a big portion. They air fry it so it's healthier than deep fried and it still was very crispy. a friend had the flatbread and liked it. I asked for hot decaf tea after eating. The waitress seemed to not know how to handle this and gave me a cup of hot water and a tea bag and told me there are no free refills, I am saying this as an FYI. We came to Apopka in January. We don't eat out often, because most of the time the food is overpriced for the quality served. But, we discovered Stephie's and returned several more times. Food is decent, service is friendly, the vibe was cozy, neighborhood bar. Strangers started a convo every time we were there. The last time we were there - about 3 weeks ago - we asked if we should make reservations for the corn beef and cabbage meal on 3/17. Our waitress said we should because it was always busy. My husband went with her to pay our tab at the bar, and make the reservation. Note: We always have to spell our last name as it has 4 syllables. He watched her write our name down for a 6:30 p.m. reservation on 3/17. We are so excited because of life happenings we haven't been out for St. Paddy's day in 6 years. I mean really excited. We show up, and the same waitress who made the reservation said we don't make reservations for this day. I went in search of the owner at the bar. A bartender said they called everyone who made reservations and canceled them. I said no one called us. He then went to look at the reservation book and came back to say there was no record of a reservation in our name - I refer you back to the note where my husband watched her make the reservation while he spelled our last name. I actually teared up because I was so disappointed. Stephie's probably has enough customers that they don't need my money, but we're not spending our money there ever again. This whole thing has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). read more

We stopped by Stephie's to listen to McIntyre Irish band. We had never been here before but it's got all the Irish vibes. We had Chris as a server and she was fantastic! Really great deserts! I stopped by here while running some errands in the area. I have always been a fan of Irish food and naturally had to stop by. The service was efficient and decent. It's an old style pub with some local decorations and flare from the owner. The Reuben was very good and the Guinness was very good as well. We stumbled across this place while driving through the area and found it on Yelp. Being an Irishman I can honestly say there are few Irish restaurants that I enjoy. Fortunately, this mom and pop run restaurant is one of the better in the Orlando area. Good food, amazing beers on tap and service by the owners on this visit will have us returning to try more from the kitchen and taps. Not sure where all the pictures are, or if we just dove in too quickly, so I'll have to find them or take some more on our next visit. We made it there for lunch today and everything we tried was incredible! We enjoyed Irish onion soup, potato pancakes, Reuben & pepperoni/mozzarella spring rolls, and shepherd's pie. Our favorite were the cheesecake bites. Unique with amazing flavor - and an excellent price point. Amanda was a lovely server & we had a wonderful time talking with Paddy (one of the owners). I was out here for tournament and was looking for a local place to eat. Found this gem. I am only going off of the two sandwiches we ordered. We got the double meat blarney and the Irish Rueben. Both were very filling and packed sandwiches! I liked the Rueben best but loved the two meats in the blarney. The sweet and sour cabbage on the Rueben was awesome and the thousand island rounded out the sandwiches. The both came with a small side of coleslaw. My friend recommended we go to this new Irish pub restaurant after she had been with some other friends. It's in a strip mall, but once you get inside, the atmosphere feels more like a freestanding pub. It's very intimate inside. I debated between Guinness Battered Cod (fish & chips) and the Bangers & Mash. I went with the fish & chips. Having been to British pubs in the area (and Miller's Ale House) and ordering the fish & chips, I expected a lot more than I got. The fish was on the smaller side, and the "fries" were tater tots. We had also ordered the "Irish Tater Logs" as an appetizer, which were giant-sized, filled tater tots. So when tater tots were served in place of the "fries" stated on the menu, I was a bit tater tot overwhelmed. The appetizer seemed homemade (with beer cheese for dipping!), but the tots with my meal were your basic frozen variety (which could have used some beer cheese). Would I go again? I might. I'd probably order a sandwich, though. My friend ordered the Corned Beef Reuben and it was huge. Interesting fact: on the menu, it says they use air fryers instead of deep fryers. read more

Finally got an opportunity to stop in here after wanting to for sometime. Very happy that we did as it was a great experience. The place is stylish, clean, with an extraordinarily friendly staff. The owner came out numerous times to check on us. The Reuben Panini may have been one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Extremely good. All food here is made in air fryers, so it is healthy. They have a wide selection of beer, wine, and ciders. Live music on the weekends. Huge portions. One more can I say! So happy to be able to support local business.
