I have went through a 1/2 dozen lawn services over the years until I found Edwin by accident. I told him exactly how I wanted my grass cut, how hight, and how I wanted the edges trimmed and to my surprise he and his assistant did a great job! That was 5 years ago! During this time he has helped me with a number of small yard projects such as moving rock, dirt, digging a hole for a pond I put in as well as sprinkles and irrigation repairs. Every Fall and and his assistant show up to get rid of all the leaves because we have several large trees in the backyard. I like the fact that he has a small business, so when I need something I can either call him or text him and he is able to get back to me right away.

On that initial visit, Cory's sent 4-5 people and they did a good job. They pulled the overgrown weeds, raked up, got the yard tidy & cleaned up. Fast forward to this spring, Cory's sent 2 people, they didn't pull ANYTHING, just sprayed weed killer - even on the emerging daffodil & tiger lillies which are now dead. So they're left with a yard of dried, dying weeds and debris for the same rate as their prior visit. So, they put their best foot forward initially then barely phoned it in for the follow up. Of course, my tenants aren't willing to continue with them but are still left with a messy yard they paid to have weeded and cleaned.

Creative Gardens has an actual retail store in Sparks so you can always find them. We dealt with the owner, CJ, who was very knowledgeable on designing a backyard. He listened to what we wanted and then produced a virtual reality model of it on a large screen right there in the office. He had the ability to make real time changes as we requested them. This is a family operated business with CJ being the 3rd generation owner. His mom is the office manager and his sister runs the retail operations of the store. From the minute we walked in the door, they put us at ease and made us feel very welcome. The fact that they could make real world changes on the computer sold us on going with them. It was that and how well they treated us from the moment we walked into the business. During the build we had multiple changes and additions. The field supervisor, Jeff, is awesome to work with and doesn't know the word "no". He always says "we can do that". Their work crews were also great. Their crew leader, Cruz, can build just about anything and runs a tight ship. We really couldn't be happier with our backyard and the relationships we built with the Creative Garden staff.
