I found the management to be unprofessional and inconsistent in how employees were treated. There appeared to be significant favoritism, and I witnessed situations where certain employees seemed to receive accommodations that were not extended to others. What was especially upsetting was seeing an employee face serious consequences after needing time to recover from being evacuated during a wildfire, particularly when their property had been damaged. In my opinion, the way the situation was handled showed a troubling lack of compassion and consideration for employees and their families. I also had concerns about conflicts of interest and relationships between management and employees that, in my view, contributed to an uncomfortable and unfair workplace environment. From a business standpoint, I felt that decisions sometimes prioritized ownership's interests over employees and, at times, over the best interests of clients. I would encourage anyone considering working for or doing business with this company to carefully research the workplace culture and management practices before making a commitment.

My initial meeting with them took about an hour, where we discussed all phases of my desired landscape. I asked about cost and was told that the design fee is $1000, and the landscape should cost about $60,000. I told them that my budget was $75,000, with $10,000 of that being to have a large tree removed, leaving $65,000. The designer came out and charged me $1500??? After a couple months and 2 revisions to the plan, I was presented with a design that I liked. 3 weeks later I got the estimate. There were three significant items on the plan that were not on the estimate, meaning that the estimate would go up substantially. The estimate was for $179,000!!! All that FireSky did for me was to steal $1500 from me for a design that can not be used. I am considering legal action to get my money back.

The waterfall looks nice overall, but a couple of things are disappointing. The black hoses from the pumps are connected with bright white fittings, which really stand out in the pond and don't blend in. Secondly we actually saw them drop a boulder on our concrete patio walkway, leaving a crack from edge to edge. When we brought it up to the salesman's attention, he said the crack was already there - even though both he and the foreman had checked the area before work started and it was fine. He said he'd get back to us, but it's been over a week with no follow-up. They did however, cash our final payment right away. Just wanted to share our experience so that other neighbors know what they could expect. For the price we paid, we were hoping for better attention to details and accountability. SK

First, I am surprised there are some good reviews on here for this company because our experience…read morehas been very bad. We bought a new build home for 2.3 million. This company did the landscaping. It took me 2-3 weeks to get these guys to send me the original plans so we could make edits. It was like pulling teeth to get them to respond or listen to problems and they have been very unreliable. I did tell them we were interested in more work and they gave me quotes but were supposed to get back to me with more information and never did. They gave me the excuse multiple times that they were on vacation, but after hearing this multiple times from multiple different people, it gets old. Not a good way to run a business. workmanship issues on existing systems: Our lawn has been dead since original placement and you can see sod lines from where it was first laid which means it has been failing since the start. I have been attempting to revive it and found out when I aerated it that there is rock directly below the sod, so not enough soil was placed. The company did supposedly attempt to put fertilizer on it when this was brought up during home inspections/sale, to no avail, with no follow up. We noticed house across the street, same landscaper, has large brown spots also. We have had multiple (4-5) leaks with the drip systems (I understand this is common but it shouldn't be in a brand new system). We even had some dead plants because they apparently ran the line to it and then forgot to insert a dripper into the line at the plants. There was a leak in the sprinkler backflow which we had to fix ourselves because the company wouldn't get back to me. During the repair we saw they used incorrect materials, pipe dope on PVC pipe for example. It also appeared they did not use primer when they bonded the PVC which is probably what lead to the leak in the first place (or just a sloppy application) as it was leaking from an above ground elbow under PVC tape. Worse yet we also discovered no drain for the sprinklers was ever installed, so come winter this system would have frozen and broken pipes, but now I have to dig it up and do the job correctly.

The crew removed the old walkway and pavers, and spent the rest of the workday prepping the ground for the new walkway from the rear porch to the garage, extending to the front gate, and curving with two steps to the driveway. Also prepped were two areas to either side of the walkway that had been mostly dirt but can now be used as seating/BBQ areas. At the end of the day the crew cleaned up the area, leaving it in perfect condition for the concrete to be poured. Due to a forecasted storm, Quality Curb's owner, Tony, decided against pouring the concrete the next day. His crew returned several days later to finish the job, again arriving on time and ready to work. The concrete was poured, leveled, and smoothed out. It looked fantastic when they were finished. Again, the work area was cleaned up and the only reason you could tell anyone had been there was the yellow caution tape and of course, the fresh concrete. Within a few hours, someone in my household who will remain nameless forgot about the fresh concrete and took a few steps on it, leaving marks. An immediate frantic call to one of the workers and he was at our house within 20 minutes to make everything perfect again at no extra charge (although we did give him a tip in appreciation). We would hire Quality Curb again for any concrete job and highly recommend them to anyone else looking for quality, professional concrete work.
