Atrocious management and one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a course. Called one week in advance for a tee time at 1:15pm on hawk course. Day before I call to confirm and they don't see my reservation. After 20 minutes of being told I never made one, they fine it listed in system at 3:15 under the wrong name. Despite it being their mistake they refused to do anything about it which meant we had to cut our round short due to sunset. On top of that we had specifically reserved to play the hawk course given its length and extra par 3s. Their starter station was a mess and they had no idea where to put us and ended up being out on falcon course. Staff was generally rude and disorganized. Will definitely never golf here again read more

Golf course is one of the best Public courses in south Florida when it comes to conditions. Very tough to get a good tee time on the weekends and a couple of marshalls are a bit clueless. That's the only thing that brings it down to 4 stars instead of 5. read more

Really fun course- 3 nines but a lot of fun - played Falcon and Raven-well groomed nice course- people were super nice...a little confusing at the turn but it all worked out in the end... If you're lucky you will get to see some natural wildlife laying around (alligators). read more

This is a beautiful, very scenic golf course, that everyone should play at least once when there're in this area - we ended up playing the Raven - 18 holes, and looking forward to playing here again when I am back in Fla. Kevin at the pro shop was great, however we thought the starters two seniors behind the counter were just crotchety old men that could have been a little nicer to our foursome that were all women. One guy didn't even bother looking up when asked a question. All and all, loved the course. read more

Came here with 12 friends visiting South FL on a golf trip. Course is in great shape but the guys that work here are complete jerks. They tipped my friends bag over twice as they were throwing the bag around, putting a gouge in his driver, and didn't care to do anything about it because they were in such a hurry to drag our bags out of the car and throw them into a cart. It took about 20 mins to get a sandwich from their makeshift food service trailer. At 6pm after my round I walked into the pro shop, which was open, and was looking at some used golf balls. The guy in the pro shop didn't acknowledge me, then when I asked a question about the balls he didn't look at me, just said, "No, we're closed." In an annoyed way. Confused, I said, "oh, so you can't sell me anything?" (All the lights were on and the door was unlocked) Again, without even looking at me, said "we stopped selling at 5:30." Extremely rude. THEN, as we were waiting near the pickup area for our 3rd group to finish, a cart attendant came up and said, "hey can you guys leave?" Great course, terrible customer service that unfortunately ruined but should have been a great experience. read more

This is my most favourite golf course in the Boca Raton to Delray Beach area. There are 3 nines and all are always in very good condition, challenging, laid out well. The staff are all helpful and courteous. It is rated the number 1 public course in Florida and rightfully so. You will not be disappointed playing this course. read more

I live in Miami but made the one-hour drive up to Boca Raton to play this course and I am glad I did. It is a beautiful layout with no houses surrounding the course. Instead one is treated to natural preserves on many of the holes. The course condition was superb, though they had recently aerated the greens. There are five different tees for all levels of play. We played from the blue, which for me was perfect at around 6000 yards. The best part of the experience, for me, is that they allow walking, which is how the game of golf is meant to be played. And the price is phenomenal at just $27.99, only a few dollars more than my local course which pales in comparison. As for the staff, they were polite and professional. When we finished the first nine (on the Raven), the starter suggested we go to the Falcon instead of Hawk as it was wide open. We appreciated that and play was a bit faster on the second nine. There also was a beverage cart making frequent appearances and we saw a ranger on at least one occasion. It goes without saying that I will be making the trip back up to play this gem again. read more

As a long time golfer at Osprey Point I have always enjoyed playing there. Last week I planned on redeeming a gift certificate . I understand that the certificate was good only if I used the entire value. I figured I would ask if I could use partial value as I did not need all of it that day. When I asked a lady name Sue I was berated for even asking. I could not understand why her attitude was so poor towards me. As a business owner I would never allow my staff to speak to a customer in this manner. Sue should move on or receive additional training . read more

Wow. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I took my family from out of state to check out this golf course and enjoy the day. Every person we came in contact with that worked there was rude and disrespectful. I don't know if they treat everyone that way or just those people that are not "professional". We rented all of our clubs and paid $275 for 3 people and 2 carts and 1 "rider". I had no problem with the price, just with the service level from EVERY person that works there. My family and I were all dressed appropriately, followed all the rules, and made sure to let players go ahead of us if we were taking too long. It was embarrassing for me, because I wanted my family to have an enjoying day of golf since they love to play. Maybe they are just very rude to non-professionals because they prefer to not have them return. Noted. read more

Quite simply, the best public course in Palm/Broward. How anyone could review it less than 5 stars is beyond me. Grounds are beyond lush, greens roll true. Great undulations and hole layouts. No condos/apt buildings lining holes like so many area courses; you feel like your away from the urban jungle of SoFla. Excellent range and practice facilities. Great courses (3 nine hole courses), very good condition. Greens fees are reasonable. I like the fact that it is not surrounded by condos or homes, which is hard to find in South Florida. The course is not long, but you do need to be accurate, or lose lots of golf balls. Course management is a must, and it is difficult to know distance to certain targets the first time you play (even with a rangefinder, although that helped). They do have a book for purchase in the clubhouse with the detailed layout, which I did not buy and wished I had. Looking forward to playing Osprey Point again! read more

Nice track but when it comes to customer service go somewhere else. TOMMY in the cart barn. Asked my friend an I " what the Hell are you doing?" When we put our bags on the cart. Before I could respond he told me "the course is closed, you can't go out". I asked why he was talking to me with such a nasty attitude when he responded saying " it's SIR to you an asked me if I had a problem with him". I responded by saying " I have a problem with how your talking to me yes". Tommy then replied by saying "what are you gonna do about it, get out of here ". When we went in to the pro shop to talk to Ken Smythe or Ben no one was even there. Need to remind you it was 3:30 an the lightning alarms weren't working. And the Head Pro nor GM were there to take care of the issues. No one said they'd take it into consideration or leave a note. Tim inside the pro shop simply said ". Ahh well things happen". I'm pretty sure if I wasn't a 24 year old with a tattoo on my arm an a 50 YO Man or Women I would've been talked to differently. This isn't the first issue I've had an was my first trip back after about 6 months because of the customer service issue. BETHANY the county GM needs to address this issue ASAP. Well it happened again at my favorite municipal golf course! They need to hire actual starters not volunteers. They are clueless and don't know how to speak to PAYING CUSTOMERS. The nasty condescending fool that worked the starters booth has no idea how close he came to a confrontation with me making the turn . Never will go back. Expensive municipal/county golf course ( $24 for 9 holes as a Boca Resident ) . Rude personnel/employees. Cart guy told me my car was quiet for a junker ( 2004 MB E430 ). On the 1st tee a "ranger" came flying over to the tee and instructed us to join the group in front of us ( Only other players on the course ) and followed us to the next 2 tee boxes to make sure we didn't split up. 9 out of 27 holes only open. Driving/practice range closed. Every green and fairway aerated yet still full price. Left the course after 3 holes.We registered a complaint at the sign in shop and asked for at least a partial refund. No way. We could have had a rain check, but why would we even want to come back? read more

Great Golf Course, I cannot say enough good things about the course conditions and layout. The staff and personnel treated us like we were at a 5 Star Resort. I also cannot imagine the review regarding poor service and attitude form the staff. This is one of the most kid friendly courses you'll find anywhere, as with any course the times they can play are limited usually after 11, Osprey even has Free Club Rental for Juniors. I love osprey for the fact that it's a public course in great condition with subpar practice facilities. You won't find a lot of public courses that offers what osprey does. Unfortunately, the staff ruins the experience. I am a regular who plays there at least once a week and every time I have an issue with the workers. I'm a young girl and the staff treats my friends and I with zero respect. I go up to the starter on an important phone call and he says to me as I hand him the ticket, "I'll wait." I found his tone and comment to be extremely unprofessional. Noted, that wasn't the first time I had an issue with him. Another time, with another worker, I experienced such poor treatment and that is why I am writing this review. We were making the turn and a ranger comes to us saying, "the course is closed," confused, I asked him why and why were other people playing? He pulls up and says "Jesus Christ, pick up your god dam ball." He then pulled away. He didn't go up to anyone else and say the course was closed and there was people on every hole. We continued to play. Overall, the staff is rude and condescending and they should be reconsidered for a customer service job. read more

Very nice course,amazing grass,very challenging from the back tees...would have liked to make it my go to course but after my experience with employees ,,never will they get my business again..I was the last cart in one night and left an expensive pair of sunglasses in the cart..called next morning noone turned them in and they werent in the cart...only an employee could have taken them...they didnt even offer me some rounds of golf for compensation...not even"im sorry" what can i do for you to make it right...terrible customer relations.... read more

I like this golf course, beware when the wind is blowing it will get tough. They do have a weird rule, they will pass up a paying customer, because they don't book last minute players. You have to call at least two hours prior. read more

Second time at the course. Arguably the best golf course in South Florida. Gentlemen in the pro shop was a bit dry, however the starters and gentlemen working the golf carts were super friendly. Pace of play was normal, got the round done in four hours. Went by myself and they quickly paired me with a group of three and it was a very enjoyable round. read more

Best public courses I've seen so far(3- 9 holes). the only down side is that there's no club house.

I can't comment about the pace of play as I go out early and walk 18 in under 3 hours 2-3 times per week. As for the golf course, the conditioning is outstanding, easily the equivalent of a private facility and is easily walkable (I am 68 and play the Gold tees, the 2nd longest at about 6300 yards). It's a shame that so few people in Florida would even consider walking a golf course, they are just too lazy, I suppose. The 3 9's have an interesting assortment of holes, lots of environmental hazards that will penalize a mishit tee shot. The courses look tougher than they are, you just have to get used to keeping the ball away from the environmental areas. Overall you can't find a better public, municipal facility anywhere in Florida (at least from my experience) and is a real bargain as well. read more

This course gets one star because the greens were fairly smooth, yet fairly sandy. Let me also mention this is the first time playing the course... The course is very tight and having played the back tees, I had many blind shots, to the a point where it became unfair. If it weren't for the staff, I would give this course a 3.5 rating, but the staff... NEVER IN MY LIFE (and I grew up in the caddie yard) HAVE I HEARD SUCH APPALLING LANGUAGE FROM ANYONE IN ANY WORK PLACE AT SUCH A HIGH DECIBEL. Guy picking up buckets at the range, screaming to the starter "why the f would I do that when these MFs only give me $2 tips?" 50 year old man, mind you, not some teenager working there part time, screaming it to the incapably old and feeble starter who took ten minutes just to figure out who I was. That continued and I heard similar language from at least 3 other people. Audubon society course and I only saw one other bird aside from crows. Lots of snakes though if you're into that sort of thing. People on jet skis screaming along water that nears most of the course. Very windy because of the terrain. Honestly, from the moment I had to deal with the guy at the desk I was annoyed but I know I had the right to be. And believe me, I don't mind language but this particular staff was the most ignorant, incapable and obnoxious staff I've ever met, in any industry, and I'm from everyone's favorite state, New Jersey. If my mother were there she would've been sick. We played as a 5some Saturday afternoon and waited every shot on the back. What. An. Awful. Experience. read more

This facility should be on your must play stops in south Florida. For a public facility, it is great! Even compared to the area's resorts and private clubs, I would place the course, conditioning, practice facility right up with the best of them.
