Swapped out the flags for Fourth of July.

I have read through a lot of the negative reviews and my experience was totally different. The staff was friendly from the cart guys, to the clubhouse, to the starter. We actually could have used a ranger to push the group ahead as it got a bit slow, but considering it was Fourth of July, the pace of play was more than acceptable. Some places pack the courses and you quickly end up with 5+ hour rounds on holidays. Osprey Point has been here more than a decade now, and they still offer well manicured tracks at very affordable rates. Largely natural areas, it is nice to play a course that is not lined with condos and houses. I believe that is one of the reasons that Osprey Point is consistently ranked in the top 50 public courses in Florida. Now to think you can play here for under $40 during peak times and less than $30 for twilight and it is a steal! This is definitely one of my favorite places to knock it around. For the holiday, they replaced all of the green flags with American flags. I really liked that they had little stands on every green so that you could keep the flag from touching the ground. Nice touch.

What a gorgeous golf course! The greens were in wonderful condition, and even though it was busy there wasn't a long wait. The restaurant had delicious food, and there were great deals on the drinks as well. I can't wait to go back!

I had an amazing time at this golf course with the hubby. I have to admit I really wasn't at all excited about the idea of golfing but he really really wanted me to go with him. We both had a blast! You can't beat the setting with the literal Everglades on one side and a lake with jet skis and boats on the other. To have a sunset to boot makes it just a wow moment. We only had one person behind us and we let him go ahead so we could take our sweet time. We spent 2 hours enjoying our time on a 9 hole course, playing for the sake of it and I'm happy to report that after 5 lost balls on my end, I figured out that my strong point is the 3 iron and I did good after that. Cost was about 85 for the 2 of us with our own golf clubs but we did purchase tees and golf balls. It would have been 55 or so for 2 otherwise which is acceptable. It comes with a golf cart which is so fun to drive and ride around in! There wasn't any other women when I went but that's completely ok. I proudly wore my neon pink pants and shoes and no one cared or rolled their eyes lol. It wouldn't have mattered anyway ;) There's definitely some serious golfers out there but if you do ya thing and let them do their thing, it's all good.

Amazing golf course, played hawk and raven while in town. Honestly can't believe it was only $31, this is definitely on par with most $100 courses in terms of conditions and greens. Can't beat the views with the Everglades right next door as well! Challenging course but very fun and a bargain for sure. Absolutely will be back when in town next!

Osprey Point Golf Course is a public golf course in Boca Raton, Florida. They have 27 holes spread out in three nine-hole courses. The fairways were in good condition along with the greens for a public course. The greens were a bit confusing to read since they seemed to have sand within the grass. Overall the golf course has its challenges and we found it to be scenic. There weren't many fairway traps, but I believe that is because it's easier for them to maintain the golf course. We paid $70.00 per person for 18 holes during season which I still find expensive for a public course that plays five hours or more during season

Best public courses I've seen so far(3- 9 holes). the only down side is that there's no club house.

Boca Rio Golf Club is exclusively for members and if they want to book parties etc. This place is very proper and very old Boca glamour. They had arranged a gorgeous room with beautiful flowers everywhere. For cocktail hour the servers were providing top notch service. As soon as I was done eating or drinking they took the plate or drink from me. And of course I went a few times to try all the appetizers. The shrimp cocktail, tuna tataki, smoked salmon, veggie dumplings, etc were all amazing. For the dinner segment, they had set up portable chef stations outside. This gave everyone the opportunity to look outside to the pristine golf course and enjoy the view. They had steak stations, seafood, Asian cuisine etc. I was stuffed from cocktail hour however I tried a few items. The only thing lacking at dinner time was the fact many of the dishes were very low on seasoning and a bit bland. Overall, the food was excellent but I needed a bit more salt/seasoning. My favorite dinner component was the endless arrangement of different kinds of salads. There is nothing like fresh greens. For dessert: I was thrilled they set up bite size portion desserts. My favorite was the carrot cupcake, which tasted divine. Overall, this club is gorgeous and if you have a chance to go, check it out. Class A act for sure.~

Wow! What an incredibly fun night! We had such a great experience at PopStroke…read more We arrived a little after 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday with a group of five adults and one child. The parking lot was packed, which is usually a good sign that you're in for a fun evening. One helpful tip for first-time visitors: when you arrive, the main entrance actually leads into the restaurant, Bar Tenders. If you're there to play mini golf, look to the left of the entrance for the golf check-in counter where you'll purchase your tickets. We were celebrating a friend's birthday, and everyone had a fantastic time. I have to admit, my husband and I were a little skeptical at first. We typically enjoy traditional mini golf courses with themed obstacles, so seeing mostly putting greens made us wonder if we'd enjoy it. We were pleasantly surprised! The courses are beautifully designed, well-landscaped, and much more fun than we expected. The property is well thought out, with TVs throughout the course (perfect for catching the World Cup matches), a central bar, benches scattered around the course, and even hooks for purses at many of the holes, which was such a thoughtful touch. There are two 18-hole courses, one easier and one more challenging. Your admission includes unlimited play on both courses for the day, which makes the price feel like a great value. We paid $30 per adult, with discounted pricing for children. They were also offering a summer special where, for $50, you receive unlimited play through the end of September. They also mentioned offering healthcare discounts, and I believe they may have military and teacher discounts as well, although I can't personally confirm those. Another feature I thought was really convenient was the QR codes located throughout the course. You can scan them to order drinks for delivery right to your location on the course. I'm not sure whether food can also be ordered this way, but it was a nice touch. Even though the venue was busy, it never felt overcrowded. The course kept people spread out well, so there wasn't much waiting between holes. Overall, we truly had a great time. Everyone in our group ended up purchasing the $50 summer pass because we enjoyed ourselves so much. We'll definitely be back again soon!

The "Stroke" in PopStroke Is for the Stroke You'll Have When You See the Price of Mini Golf…read more We recently visited PopStroke Delray Beach with our kids (all under 8), and while the facility is clean and well-run, the value just wasn't there for our family. The course itself is fine -- but pretty basic. It's nicely landscaped and in good shape, but there's nothing especially creative or over-the-top that makes it feel worth the premium pricing. For younger kids, 18 holes was more than enough. Ours only wanted to play one round, and after that they were done. The pricing structure seems geared more toward people who plan to stay for hours -- replaying rounds, hanging out, ordering food and drinks. If you maximize the "all day" aspect, maybe it starts to make sense. But for families with young kids who realistically will only make it through one round? One bright spot: free ice cream for kids on Tuesdays. Overall, it's a nice facility, but unless you're planning to really camp out and get multiple rounds in, the value just isn't there for families with younger children.
