Her name is Charlene. I was hesitant when I first walked into the gym. I expected everyone to be skinny and that is not me. I was showed around the gym and met Charlene. I felt very comfortable and because of her I was able to let go of my anxiety and now she trains me 3-4 times a week. I started with the Groupon for five classes for $25 (awesome deal) and wasn't disappointed. You likely wouldn't actually notice the place if you didn't know it was there - it's not on the main road. The facility is well maintained, there are showers and a bathroom and some lockers. There is water only for purchase and they provide a free towel for the class. For my first class, the instructor Rusty (no longer there) was nice and encouraging, even though I sat for a lot of the class. It is good to come 10-15 minutes before your first class to adjust on the bike and ask any questions. These instructors feel more "real" than in some other spin studios, which is nice; they are also very high energy. I don't like places where the instructor gets up off the bike and just runs around giving encouragement and wanting you to reach back to them - I want the instructors work up a sweat alongside the class, and these instructors all do that. I especially enjoy Nikki's classes - she plays more modern music than the other instructors and she does a great job motivating the class. Lyndada puts on a fun class and Carolyn's class is varied, too. I didn't feel as if the owner was super friendly, maybe just not to me, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to come! I do wish that spin classes were a little bit cheaper but they all seem to run at about these same prices.

If that's not the biggest sign and blessing that you in the right place at the right time I don't know what else is! The number of the building is an indicator of being intentional. I discovered Jamie's studio about a year ago and have taken a couple classes whenever I have the free time and have felt so comfortable in each class. Whether it's Jamie herself or another teacher the classes really focus on being present in the moment and connecting with your body. Slow, intentional movements and not pushing your body past what it's willing to do. I recently took yoga and sound bath class taught by Robin and I hope there are more classes like this. I experienced real life ASMR and a new level of meditation. Robin focused on creating sounds with different objects that sounded like different elements. One sounded like rain drops, another sounded like the ocean waves, it was truly a beautiful, grounding and enlightening experience. This was my first time hearing Crystal bowls in person and it was magical. It sounded like frequency music. I have also taken Jamie's 3 week meditation series which was amazing. It was an hour long each week and focused on releasing the stresses of the day and aligning your chakras. Besides the classes being wonderful each time her price point I feel is really affordable. The drop in classes are $25, some 3 week meditation series $40 and her new student pass for a week of yoga is $35! She has other yoga packages available on her website. I look forward to attending each class and leave feeling 1000% better than when I came in. Life can be hard and stressful but it can also be beautiful and soft. I have found that softness and beauty at Jamie's yoga studio and will continue to support her yoga business.
