After years of loyal patronage the Northvale NJ club decided to change the majority of level 2 classes to 2.5 and turn away some members from those time slots. When I wrote to the manager asking if more level 2 classes were coming she ignored my initial email, then responded to my follow up after several days with an invitation TO CANCEL my membership after almost 5 years. I was horrified. This place has had great instructors through the years but the management is awful and the owner is out to lunch. Very sad to see. read more

There's always a reason why people leave bad reviews. I saw some negative reviews about the owner, and I had a similar experience. One time, I forgot to sign in for a class, even though I definitely attended. I sent a very polite message explaining that I had forgotten to sign in but asked if they could srefund no show fee since I was there. The response I got was incredibly nasty, as if I had done something terribly wrong. They said this would be the last time. ?!? Also, when I ended my membership, I clearly said I wanted to cancel, but they dragged it out, and I ended up being charged longer than I should have. The classes and instructors are fine, but it's true that the owner seems a bit mean-spirited. ** HIGHLY RECOMMEND ** I joined the studio during the pandemic (July 2020). I saw a promotion on Facebook and have always been interested but intimated. I am glad I had the courage to call the studio. The manager, Vianca was so nice and patient, encouraging and informative! I started with the 8 pack per month and by week 3 I upgraded to unlimited monthly package! The classes are amazing, low impact but pushes your body to its limits and you use every muscle. Its a different type of workout and fits my strengths and needs! It has been the best thing I have done in years and I've noticed a great difference in my body and attitude. The studio is in a great location - Northvale, NJ is right in the middle of NY/NY (Bergan and Rockland County). The studio is spacious with plenty of reformers and super clean! The studio has great instructors, nice employees and also offers multiple classes a day. Definitely worth a try and intro class is free! read more

Owner is money hungry-just wants to sign people up and doesn't care if they get into classes- wait list is miles long and they are super strict on cancellations- Do not recommend at all- I have. Been to many other studios and they are much more relaxed and flexible- Its a shame- the instructors are amazing but not worth it when you go to another studio- You get off the reformer and your attacked by all the staff members- read more

My next door neighbor mentioned that had hit her 100 session milestone and I talked to her about her experience. Then I signed up for my intro class and was hooked! I had been looking for something where I could get modified moves for my very injured body and this is the place! I just hit the ten class mark and have loved every second of it! I had a difficult time canceling my membership. I ended up having to pay two extra months of membership in order to cancel, which was close to $400. also very difficult to schedule classes one week in advance since there are always waitlists for classes at peak times. You get one day's advance notice, but it is kind of hard to plan the rest of your life around waiting to see if you get into the class, especially if you are a working parent. read more

This place is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! everyone is nice to you until the point you need to freeze your membership due to sport injury. They ignore emails, being disrespectful and unfortunately rude. They charged me for 5 months later after I cancel my membership. Definitely stay away from NJ Northvale location and 3 other places with same owner. read more

She's never stuck to any type of work out and she's officially addicted to club Pilates in Northvale. I've seen such a change in not only her physique but her mental health as well. Very disappointed with them as a whole. I froze my membership for 3 months due to Covid. They never advised that it was coming to an end. Emerson called before they lifted it. Northvale did not. The way I found out was when my card was charged. I immediately called and asked them to freeze again. I am now trying to cancel because I am moving. They are again charging my account foR one month. When I tried to explain that they had just charged my account they did not want to here it. They just want your money so be warned. read more

I have just recently started at this club and was nervous to do so. However they made me feel super comfortable right away. I had never used a reformer before and the instructor led me through all of the movements with such patience. I got the hang of it quickly and really liked it right away. I signed up the next day and have been going ever since. No problems with scheduling classes. I have tried multiple instructors at various time And have been happy with all! read more

I love this place and cannot get enough of their classes! The instructors are all so wonderful, friendly, and patient, yet challenge you with each workout, while making sure that you feel comfortable at all times. I've never done Pilates before & I took an "intro" class and have been hooked since! It's been 3 months now and I go as much as I can because I truly ENJOY the work outs. I've tried almost all the instructors & every class except level 2 & have been more than satisfied every time!! This "Club" isn't just Pilates there's so much more like TRX & Bar(which I've never tried before this either) its always different and interesting. Yes there is a policy if you don't cancel 12 hours in advance but it's understandable being they are small classes and everyone wants to get in!!! This place is clean & staff is so friendly, they do understand that things pop up if you need to cancel just call and ask. Highly recommended!! read more

Nightmare... at Northvale NJ location. STAY AWAY. After 2 months of attending classes I asked that my membership be canceled. They continued to charge my account for 4 additional months. It was a nightmare to try and complete the cancellation as they said I never sign a "cancellation contract". I was never told I was required to signed a contract as a member nor was I told I had to sign a request for cancellation agreement. It became my word against theirs and my account continued to be charged. It has finally been canceled but received NO refund prior to this. I can't even describe how angry I am. read more

I tried Pilates in January for the first time here at CP Northvale. I'm not someone who works out so I was terrified. All the instructors are so nice and welcoming and make you feel so comfortable. After day 1 I was hooked and have already seen a huge difference in my body. I highly recommend giving it a shot! read more

This review is for my experience during their "free" intro class. The instructor was fine however the free intro class is less of a class/workout for you and more of a recruiting method for them to sell. When you sign up for the trial, the confirmation text says "requires grip socks" it never tells you to bring or buy them. I was assuming because I am new to this club and it's a TRIAL they may provide a pair but, when you get there it's expected that you buy an $18-$22 pair of their socks. Once you purchase the socks you make your way over to the exercise area and the trial "class" begins. Basically they introduce you to the machine and instruct a few small movements but if you are expecting to understand what a real class is actually like or get a workout then this is not for you. In my opinion the trial is the equivalent of a "can't try until you buy" type thing. The part that made it really pitchy and a big sales gimmick was the "closers" they have come in at the end (kind of like when you buy a car or timeshare). The closers give a spiel about locations and packages and they kind of keep you there in a very awkward situation because you think the class is over but it turns into a sales environment. The minute it ended 2 people were introduced and began the sales portion, I didn't even have time to process the workout. read more
