Went for a late night bite with some friends and planned on eating dinner and having wine. The service was great and everyone was so nice. Our waiter had so much knowledge on the menu and wine list which was helpful! We ate outdoors and it got a little cold but the heat lamps definitely helped. Definitely recommend the wines over the cocktails. The food was good but not necessarily worth the price but the wine was great!

I wish I could comment on the wine or the food or anything else except for the service but unfortunately, service was so slow we didn't get to try anything. We just wanted to stop in for a quick glass of wine before heading to dinner. The host told us we could sit in the bar area wherever we saw free seats. Luckily, two bar stools were available... except they weren't because another customer was saving them, apparently. So we tried to sit at the high top but the host came over and said those were reserved. Okay... so we sat at the small counter area by the window. Service was friendly enough but when my boyfriend asked for a glass of wine and I wanted a quick taste of another wine, we waited almost 30 minutes for both. My boyfriend is usually incredibly patient so when he started getting restless waiting, I knew it was taking too long. We tried making eye contact and flagging someone down but couldn't get a hold of anyone. We ended up going up to the host and letting them know we'd be leaving. Apparently the order was just sitting at the bar the whole time waiting for the server to bring it over. It looks like the reviews are overwhelmingly positive so maybe we just caught them on a bad day? It was pretty busy but the place is super small - less than 50 seats? - and with 2-3 servers and a bartender, you'd think they'd be able to handle a rush.

Went for happy hour, had the cheese and meats board / prosecco / pistachio ricotta with basil toast. Service fast and friendly! Great vibe and delicious food. Cannot wait to try out Tria Events .

Had a reservation on a Friday night. Staff was super friendly and apologetic for us being seated a few minutes late (not a big deal to us at all). Our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and gave great suggestions. Even with how busy it was, food and drinks came out quickly and staff was attentive. The cheese platter had great variety and they complimented each other well but the figs were a highlight!!

Very cute wine bar in the heart of Rittenhouse with a unique and reasonably priced menu. We tried a half dozen of their oysters, the braised duck salad with spinach, strawberries, pistachios, grana Padano topped with a citrus, mint vinaigrette, and their fresh mozzarella sandwich with prosciutto, roasted tomato, basil pesto, and garlic vinaigrette. We also ordered the Tria old-fashioned and Saint Germain's Spritz. Our server Kyle was awesome. They had an interesting and reasonably priced wine list as well. Would have loved a table inside, but we, were fortunate to get a reservation, so sat outside. It was a little cool and drizzly, but fortunately were protected from the drizzle with a canopy. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend, and look forward to returning!

Atmosphere is quaint. Service is constantly checking in which is really nice to see but wine selection is incredible !

Great spot for Happy Hour (lasts until 6pm), and love that you can make a reservation in advance. Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. They were quick to clear things which was helpful since we were at a small table. Atmosphere is cozy. We got happy hour drinks (rose, red, and a Venetian spritz) as well as two of their cheese boards. The Gorgonzola stuffed figs were a bit intense as the name might suggest, but we liked what they had otherwise. Spritz was $9 Wines were $7 Boards were $9 each

I had been wanting to go here for ages and I'm so happy I finally went! We had a reservation around when they opened and got seated right away! It filled up while we were there though and by the time we left every table and the bar were full so I would recommend a reservation. The space is cute and inviting! They had a nice selection of wines, and I enjoyed the glass I got! We also got the PA Playlist cheese plate and the Rosemary Chips and Aioli which was all very good as well. The staff was so friendly and overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

The vibes of the bar was so comforting. It's a small but cozy spot. My friend and I came for a small bite with drinks. The chocolate torte was gluten free but it was very good. The cheese and meat board was great for have with a cup of wine. Service was quick and they were very attentive. Would definitely come again.

Always a hit! We sat at the bar. Space is at a premium, so be prepared to wait. Both bartenders were great -- we asked for a white recommendation, and they offered a fantastic bottle. Service and kitchen were both quite speedy. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. I can't even begin to pick a favorite. Can't wait to return!

Had a delightful happy hour catch up with 2 friends on a Tuesday. The candlelit high top table by the window was the perfect place for chatting & celebrating, and enjoying some absolutely wonderful wine and cheese. I had the happy hour rose which was very nice (and a great price), and my friends enjoyed their wine and hh sangria as well! We ordered a cheese board (complete with olives, cheese, bread, cheese stuffed figs, and dries cherries soaked in something delicious). We actually first received a cheese plate (which we didn't order), and they kindly let us keep it. The featured cheese actually had chocolate in it - but wasn't too sweet - surprisingly nice! We had two attentive and patient servers helping us throughout the night, as well as James who provided the best, accurate and understandable descriptions of wine and cheese I've ever heard - he treated us to a sample of a chilled red that was so crisp! Overall it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to come back for the amazing service, ambiance, wine and cheese!

Such a pretty wine bar! A few of us my girls and I came as a before-dinner treat to whet our appetites with some wine & small bites and were not disappointed. We ordered a bruschetta sampler trio which was sooo good - we all liked all 3 flavors. The one odd thing was one of our party did not have her ID with her, but did have a picture of it - however, our server was super strict and would not serve her a glass of wine, despite having the photo ID and despite all of us clearly being in our late 20s. Would come here again for pre-dinner drinks or even to try more small plates for dinner.

Does Tria still have Sunday School specials?

Hi Laura. We presently do not offer Sunday School, but we are considering bringing it back this autumn. Thank you for inquiring.

Thank you for your question, Simran. At the present time we do not offer certified halal options.

Does Tria sell takeout bottles of wine (as read in Zagat)?

Good morning, Daniel! Yes, our Tria Cafe Rittenhouse and Wash West locations do sell bottles of wine to go. As we pay almost as much as you would at the PLCB stores (thank you, Pennsylvania!), I can't say that we can offer amazing deals. But most of… Read more

Their wine list was so great I couldn't choose, so I went with one of their flights - Interesting Whites (Tokaj Furmint, Friuli Grave, and Langhe Arneis). The flight was aptly named; the wines were interesting and delicious - a rare combination of white wines in a flight. They offer a great selection of wines (traditional to natural wines, including some skin contact options), but they also have beer and cocktails for anyone in your party that prefers something other than wine. The bar is beautiful - moody, dark, lots of wood, a long bar, several small tables - it's a perfect little wine bar. And the service was great as well. (I didn't eat on this occasion, but they have a full menu of food, and the food ordered by the table behind me smelled great.) I look forward to returning to try more of their wines!

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

The tasting menu had three tiers you could choose from- $35, $45, and $55/person. We chose the $55/person option which included the full menu of tapas as well as dessert. They pick the most popular dishes to bring out to the table but also allow you to request any specifically that you'd like. By the end of night, we had a TON of food, even more than we could finish, and ended up trying at least 15 different dishes. All the food was great, with some of my favorites being the eggplant caponata (cold, very flavorful), scallops a la plancha, jamon & manchego croquetas, spiced beef empanadas, and the paellas. Favorite dessert was the chocolate cake, but we were received all the desserts other than the ice cream and sorbet. I may have liked the food experience less if I had ordered off the regular menu and only tried a few small plate, but I loved the option of trying so many dishes. By the time we finished everything, we had been there for over 3 hours (including lots of wine of course), which was really fun! The place gets packed on a Saturday night so we would not have gotten in without a reservation.

Ended up here by accident because I was window shopping with my 3 year old and he suddenly shouted…read more"I need to potty"...most establishments do not have restrooms available to the public so I figured our best bet was a restaurant and popped in here. The staff were immediately sympathetic, super friendly and helpful. Of course, as if I wasn't embarrassed enough, as soon as the 3 year old washed his hands, he shouted "I'm hungry" (is this sort of human I'm raising?). We were already in a restaurant so why not. Before being seated or looking at the menu, I asked for some fries to be put in and the waitress offered some chicken tenders. After finally looking over the menu, I don't think these are regular offerings so I appreciated them trying to be accommodating to a frazzled parent at dinner time. My vegan mother in law joined us and we were pleased that there were so many options for her. My absolute favourite (such that I had to order another round) was the eggplant caponata - perfectly sweet with a little bit of spice. It was so warm and comforting - exactly what I want at the end of a long cold day. My MIL's fav were the Brussels sprouts - they had a tang reminiscent of buffalo sauce and were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, textured heaven (extra bonus points for the 3 year old absolutely LOVING them - he redeemed himself). If you like hummus, try the spinach and chick pea cazuela. Squash is in season so I knew it was going to be delightful - the pomegranate was a combination that was new to me, but it didn't disappoint. We didn't try the roasted carrots (because my household is all carroted out for the moment) but someone one table over was gushing over them. As a meat eater, I have to say that the non meat tapas were standouts - I tried the empanadas, they were fine; I didn't enjoy the meatballs and I just wanted to order more of the eggplant caponata. All in all, I would definitely come back, maybe for drinks with friends or date night. The drink list looked inviting and nothing says intimacy like mood lighting and shared plates. The price (without alcohol) was very approachable - for $80 a vegan, a 3 year old and a frazzled mom left satiated.

I've been wanting to try this little polish diner for sometime and today was the day. There is…read morestreet parking only and the blocks are very narrow. You may have to fold your mirrors in to hit cars, I'm not exaggerating. I had envisioned a larger restaurant but this was small with maybe 7 tables. We sat at one with padded wooden benches that was comfortable. We were the only customers when arrived for lunch. The menu is limited and the waitress was as authentic as the food. There were some lunch specials posted but we opted to try three things: mushroom cheese bread, potato pancakes and the blueberry pierogies. The pierogies were definitely handmade and on the larger side as soon as you cut it open, the blueberries rushed out. There was a sweet sugary sauce on the top. That was unexpected. They were served cold and not warm. They were sweet. There were two of us and we each were only able to eat one of the six that came in the order. The mushroom cheese bread was drizzled with ketchup, which was unexpected that cheese was melting and gooey. Our favorite item was definitely the potato pancakes. They were cooked to perfection and the sour cream was the perfect condiment. They do have limited drinks here, including bottled water, cans of Pepsi and diet Pepsi, and some unique bottled drinks like birch water. The biggest drawback for the spot was that I just didn't think it was as clean as I would've liked it to be. It is authentic and as you eat, there is a man in the back that you can see making pierogies by hand. I'm glad that we tried this, but I'm not sure that I would return.

It's not fancy but quaint, you seriously feel you are in your Babci's eat in kitchen! The soup selection (borscht, barley, tripe & pickle) is the real deal & crazy delicious! Definitely pick one! Also a must are the potato pancakes! Again this is REAL POLISH / Eastern Europe cooking - nothing else on the menu, so if you like that food...The Dinner House is a home run!!
