One star is too generous for this place. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I've ever experienced. We waited over an hour for our food, only for the manager to come over laughing and tell us it would take another 30 minutes. He showed no concern or empathy for the fact that we'd already been waiting so long, especially with hungry kids at our table. Sadly, this experience completely changed our perception of Puerto Rico's customer service. A restaurant in such a popular tourist area should value its customers and treat them with respect. Visiting Puerto Rico for the very first time with hubby and we tried a restaurant that is from the roots of the talented Bad Bunny inspire Puerto Rican dishes from all variation. And walking into the restaurant you have an open view of the old city where you are able to enjoy some good food and drinks and vibe with the music. The drinks were made with perfection I tried both their mojito and limeade, which were both a good choice for a hot summary day during the winter time. Services was done smoothly and well and the bartender was very attentive to make sure we were good and that we got everything we ordered and very consistent with making sure we stay fulfilled with the service. Food choices they have so many good options I tried there grilled prawn and beef empanadas both were delicious the prawns were done with perfection not chewy at all nicely cooked and well seasoned had that grilled tasted to it. Absolutely amazing!! From the food to the staff to the ambiance, I'm super impressed. They were SLAMMED pack (understandably) but Carly and Alberto didn't miss a beat with serving us and making sure our experience was top tier. It's a very open environment with decent seating options, we chose to sit at the bar and it was spacious (which is always my concern) and comfortable. The drink selection is excellent for a busy spot, the drinks were made fresh and fast and the bartenders knew the answers to every question we asked. We got a variety of food selections and ALL of them were scrumptious, I highly recommend the fish bites for a light but filling tasty meal. We were left waiting at the register for a long time even though there was no one in front of us. Even after telling the staff that we were ready to place our order, no one assisted us. Every employee who walked by clearly saw us waiting, yet they acted as if we didn't exist. The staff were extremely rude and showed no courtesy or basic customer service. The meat for the Churrasco is delicious. Meat is tender. It has good chargrills flavor. We also got the local anchovies. This dish come with olive oil. It is great appetizer. Listen to the reviews about being scammed. I was cautious, but thought they were a fluke. Nope. This appears to be their business model. I went with a group of friends and we ordered separately. The same thing happened to all of us. I tried to pay with cash and they said they didn't accept it... but they said they ONLY accepted cash for tips (we asked because one in our party wasn't carrying cash). So we paid with credit cards, then tipped (generously) in cash. The server was extremely busy and didn't allow me to enter the text or email receipt, so I didn't get a confirmation of my total amount. I just saw my credit card notification and it turns out the server gifted himself a 50% tip, so along with my 25% tip I paid almost double. I have no receipt so I can't contest it with my card company. Do not eat here unless you are prepared to pay a 100% tip. read more

I love this place! I love the view and the live music. Last time I came to visit was six months ago and the food has gotten sooo good. The salmon with majado was delish. Chuleta can can and masposteado rice was finger licking good. The octopus mofongo was soft and not dry, nor chewy. Definitely can't complain about the service since they were all very attentive. They have local beer Madalla and fresh coconut juice. Food for lunch is mostly appetizer sizes but tasted fresh! We ordered minced octopus ( fresh and flavorful), fresh anchovies (not as salty as can ones) and fish bites which are fried fish but very soft and not fishy at all (unlike cod). It is probably an okay restaurant for locals but they scam tourists. There won't be any prices on anything. They just make up the prices. A fireball shot that costs a buck in USA costs like $19 here. One of my favorite restaurants I have ever visited. We walked in and were instantly met by the owner Alberto. He walked us over and had a great conversation where he asked us about what foods we liked. He then used that info to bring out the dishes that he believed we have never tried and thought we would like. He was spot on, we LOVED IT ALL! We also had the nicest waiter David. The host was excellent and funny! We were seated immediately and although the food portions looked small there was definitely enough food for all of us. Highly recommend the prawns. They were juicy with just enough salt seasoning. The steak was cooked as ordered. The scallops were definitely small so you can't share it but the taste was amazing. I'm guessing the scallops with a pasta would be amazing. Highly recommend this place if your visiting old San Juan. read more
