This is a wonderful store and I had some wonderful service from the owner and the male employee (dressed to the nines in Celtic clothing!). There's tons of products from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Cornwall ranging from clothes, fragrances, jewelry, glassware/cookware, foods/drinks and much much more. I browsed each section and found wonderful items and was even provided recommendations/historic information about somethings. What I really appreciated was the level of customer service and care, they graciously packed some items for me in boxes since they knew they were gifts and a big gift basket. They mentioned getting my ring rhodium plated to brighten up the white gold, and I agreed. The quote I received was $339. I thought that was a little high but do-able. They said they'd have the jeweler take a look and call me if it would be over the quote they gave me. Four days later I get a call telling me the head of my ring needed to be replaced, the prongs were worn. They said I needed the ring re-tipped, and I needed a new shank (which I knew would be necessary since I needed the ring sized up) but also that my enhancer was worn out and the setting for my 24 smalls diamond was worn. All of that along with the rhodium plating would be $1,325 (to do all of that work with just one shank) or $1,675 (with all of that but replacing with three shanks). That is more than quadruple my initial quote. I was expecting maybe $100 to $200 at the very most over quote. Not $1,000 to $1,300, over. It's pretty obvious they didn't want to do the work on my ring and way overpriced it so I'd go to someone else. Apparently my ring wasn't important or expensive enough for them to work on. Why not just tell me you didn't want to work on it? I went to another jeweler in Portsmouth with amazing reviews and was appalled to hear I didn't need most of that work done. I will eventually need to, but it wasn't something that needed to be done right away. This new jeweler said they would give me a call if my ring would cost more than $100-$200. Now THAT is a reasonable price to pay for the work I wanted done. I have had my wedding ring for 18 years and adore it. It means the world to me, and I find my ring worthy of repair. Summerwind apparently thought otherwise. I do not recommend them. They are way overpriced and if they're overpricing things because they don't feel like doing the work, how would the customer even know that? I'm so disappointed in my experience here and will obviously never go back.

It came back looking very different. The only thing that will do this to an imperial topaz is being super heated with the torch. I complained I brought paperwork. This business is very good with gaslighting people. I told them I was going to the police and the owner said good luck with that then put a no trespassing order on me so I can't come back to try to resolve it.. They told the cops that I ruined it myself which is not true. My stone is from Brazil and it's high-quality. They ruined my bracelet the memory of it everything about it.. these people don't care about their customers. It's a shame. My gemstone was never pink even when I brought to them to get fixed. Wear and tear absolutely but my problem was the gemstone was not the same when I got it back. They had me convinced nothing was wrong with it until I wore it for a day then went to another place to have it evaluated. It's not in the same condition. You need to heat a stone like this up to 500° to get it to change to a pink tint. Blaming a customer is wrong. I will only deal with established BBB members from now on. Lesson learned

That's when I met Belinda and Dina and, because of their friendly, welcoming service, I've been back several times to have various pieces of jewerly repaired and/or redesigned. I've been very happy with the quality of work, turn around time and overall service. The selection of jewelry seems to have something for everyone, regardless of price range.
