Me and the family love coming to this mall, especially since it's right near our house and also since it's dog friendly. This mall has everything other malls have but more. For one like I stated it's dog friendly. With dog bowls all around the mall for water, also there's a dog park and vet at the end of the mall. Parking is vast and has option to park in the middle, front, or at the back of the mall. There's a gym, plenty of food options, and clothing stores. I personally love the barber shop and one awesome thing about this mall is that they have a Farmers Market every Tuesday! There's so much to eat and choose from it's ridiculous! So if you're in the mood to shop around I or just kill time and walk around with the whole family and dogs then this is the place to be!!

    Tree is up.

I have to say I've been coming to this mall regularly for over 13 years. The stores have come and gone. A lot of retailers haven't made it here and this includes pre Covid. I think the main problem here is the location. They overestimated people using the 125 toll road to come here. That didn't happen as well as they thought because people don't want to pay to get to a mall. Albeit the mall itself is nice, another main issue is no one wants to pay sky high prices to shop here. A lot of the stores here have closed. There is no more Banana Republic (what a play on words considering how political the climate is), there is no more Victoria Secret, no more REI, heck Famous Footwear didn't even make it here. All pretty big brand name stores that couldn't crack sales. There is always another store put in its place but if main line stores like this cannot make it in an area that is supposed to be "bourgeois" there's a big problem. To close this out I need to point out the lack of customer service overall here (the Southern region of town in general has a lack of it). You will notice a difference in how staff treats its customers here compared to a Fashion Valley. There have been times staff has ignored me, was straight up rude, or did not give a crap about their jobs. Even the janitorial staff at this mall...I've had attitudes thrown out simply for asking when the restroom would re-open (they tend to shut them down quite often) or for walking near a wet floor area that is basically the entrance to the mall (the food court...albeit I did walk around it). This is a BIG reason IMO no one wants to shop here. Go further north to a real mall like Fashion Valley and you will notice a difference in customer service and the main retail stores you can find there that you cannot find here. No one wants an attitude thrown their way when they are trying to spend money at a supposed established business. The mall needs to retrain a lot of their employees from the cleaning crew to the shop workers! The only thing this place has going for it is the decent selection of restaurants and maybe the AMC theatre.

I come to this mall often since I live a few blocks away. Also have gym membership at planet fitness. Overall its a decent mall, i wish it would have more stores. I do highly recommend the farmers market on Tuesdays but other than the farmers market and gym. i'd rather go to other bigger malls like Fashion Valley or the North County Mall.

This is a pretty nice opened type mall with a huge AMC theater and plenty of places to eat for any budget. The land escaping is very well kept and is quite lovely (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/otay-ranch-town-center-chula-vista-2?select=BQUBRrvWxdbybNAhrko2CA#BQUBRrvWxdbybNAhrko2CA) I like walking up down the sidewalks window shopping and people watching. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/otay-ranch-town-center-chula-vista-2?select=BQUBRrvWxdbybNAhrko2CA#ozucjv7_-p1aGspojGxBRQ) Every Tuesday they host a Farmer's Market from 4 pm to 8 pm in that open center are of the mall. The market is full of artisan, shops and plenty of great vendors to get some good eats from. Parking is plentiful and security is always visible. The mall offers a small food court and library. There is a Starbucks cafe located inside the Barne's and Noble. A nice shopping center with plenty for all to do and one of the most picturesque of the bunch. Oh yes, on the out skirts of the parking lot, there's a paint ball place.

I love the feel of this "town center" "mall." Well....it's NOT QUITE a mall but so different from a strip mall. I'd say it's in the middle! What I love about this place is that it is so dog friendly!! If I could bring both my fur-kids here they would love it! Some stores have a doggie bowl at the door (just in case they are thirsty from walking around with their parent (s). Doggie bag (poop bags for those who are not canine inclined) are dispersed though out the Town Center. There is a night market that stages on the main road between the stores between 4-8pm on Tuesdays. From what I saw, various food stands as well as crafted items but no veggies/fruits or flowers. All in all, a great place to hang if you decide you want to do something a little different from your routine. Not that many stores that appeal to the younger generation (i'm guessing 20 y.o. and below) but there were a few of my favorite shops there: - Anthropologie - Aldos - REI - Gap - Barnes & Noble - Macys - Sephora - LOFT - DSW There are a variety of places to eat as well that include Romano's Macaroni Grill, PF Changs, The Cheesecake Factory, Chilis (all mostly chain restaurants but still better than the typical food court choices). I like this place and it wasn't crowded like Fashion Valley Mall. Perfect for an afternoon outing without all the fuss. Parking was a breeze!

The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

I will never come back to Fashion Valley Mall again…read more I was very disappointed with my experience. The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

I've been to Cotijas, Baskin Robbins, McDonald's, Subway, Vons, the petstore and even the flower shop. I've discovered the açaí bowl place next to subway. I've discovered an in store Starbucks at Vons (that makes better Fraps than the actual Starbucks locations). I've discovered a library across the street. All this, playing Pokémon go in this area. This whole place is loaded with in game content and a lot of players frequent the area while enjoying the local businesses. For many of us, the games presence was the defining difference maker as to why we would come here instead of let's say Otay Ranch Mall or Chula Vista Mall. Or another food location or Wal-Mart or even Costco's. It had a gym that many of us took pride in defending (a gym is an in game location that players Pokémon battle over for territorial control based on 1 of three team factions). Anyways, I thought about going to my favorite taco but ended up siding with cotijas over here since it is in this parking lot and I see that all the stops are being removed along with its gym. Nothing against cotijas, but the main reason that won me over here most of the time WAS Pokemongo. I understand some players hog the parking spots that may effect small businesses (real life greater than gaming life). But I just wanted to voice my opinion on this. This shopping Centre may not lose a lot of money. But this specific one is probably going to be crossed off of my main spending locations. It obviously needs every dollar it can get as small businesses constantly come and go. Like hallmark is already Out of Business here. Your local food spots were great for gamers though. Shutting them out isn't a great idea In my opinion because you miss out on extra business. Especially when your parking lot is a well known reference spot. "The Vons" is all we had to say and Pokemongo players knew which Vons you meant. Now it's just another Vons to us. Well probably migrate to another shopping center or area. But disappointed here for sure as this was my favorite due to the location. You see we wanted to consolidate trips. Have our cake and eat it too. Now it's either a Pokemongo event day or a Vons area day. I can't count how many times we shop here after a go session. Or just come here strictly for shopping before playing on the way out. This is a big rant for sure but somebody has to do it lol. Best Wishes and Thanks.
