I like Seaport Village. Yes it's touristy, but it's set right along San Diego Bay, offers scenic waterfront walkways and an easy stroll to both downtown and the must see Maritime Museum of San Diego. It's a great spot to wander, people-watch, or just enjoy the ocean views. Food options range from waterfront restaurants to casual spots and quick bites. There's also a small pier area where fresh fish is cut on-site for locals--halibut, white seabass, yellowtail, rockfish and mahi-mahi which is sometimes referred to as dolphin or dolphin fish. The fish market is only open on Saturdays. There are benches and some grassy areas that are dog-friendly, there were many dog walkers during our visit. That said, it does come with trade-offs: * It can get very crowded * Food quality is hit or miss * Paid parking is tight and finding a space on the weekends can be difficult Bottom line: A worthwhile stop for the setting and atmosphere--just go in with the right expectations.

Very pretty area to walk around & spend a beautiful day. Plenty shops to browse around in & many different spots to eat. The view of the boats & the Coronado bridge is always so pretty and some parts were under construction I'm not too sure when that will be done but it was still manageable as far as getting around and enjoying the day here

I love Seaport Village! They have a pay for parking lot. Seaport Village is a dog friendly outdoor shopping and dinning center with plenty of restaurants to choose from. There are several establishments offering sweet treats such as ice cream, doughnuts & more. They have a path that people can walk or bike along with a nice view of the water. There are vendors as well. They have a carousel for kids & parents alike. We loved walking into each store and finding items we love. We will definitely return.

Cute place for walk and catching brunch. Lots of place to park and walkable distance to SD coffee shops in the city. Recommend staying in Marriott next to it so you can enjoy the view and don't need to drive a lot. You can rent a bike and bike around too. Make sure stop by the famous lovers monument and also gift shops with unique seaside gifts

It is a waterfront shopping and dining center in downtown, and there are multiple constructions going on. I like the paths along the bay with views of the harbor. The downside is the crowd of tourists, and parking rate is steep and it costs $8 per hour.

My family and I loved our multiple visits to Seaport Village. We enjoyed long walks, meals, coffee, and sweets in Seaport--always a hit! The spectacular views, sea lions, and abundant birds make it a standout spot. We loved explroing all the small businesses and shops. It's a perfect area to spend a morning or afternoon--very walkable and family-friendly, with plenty to do! There appear to be more shops and/or restaurants coming to Seaport Village, but as it is, it is wonderful to explore. PS: If you're in this area on Saturday's from 8a-1p, the Tuna Harbor Dockside Market is 100% worth a visit!

This is a really quaint, cool area to walk, enjoy the scenery, and hang out. They even have a tiny sand area where there are Adirondack wooden chairs with umbrellas to look out over the bay or people watch. People are walking themselves, walking dogs, jogging or rising their bikes on the walkway. There are quite a few places to eat and drink and shop at Seaport Village.

We started out at SEAPORT VILLAGE,for a quick visit a chance for a quick outing along the EMBARCADERO!!! WE were not there very long, just one hour. WE went to BEN AND JERRY S ICE CREAM SHOP. As for my partner, He had two scoops of strawberry cheesecake. I had salted carmel. blonde and butter pecan. We then sat in beautiful, tree-filled courtyard, and enjoyed our ice cream!!! We then strolled around awhile and sat on the BIG, WHITE WALL. We took some pictures overlooking the beautiful yachts in the inlet.

When in San Diego, CA, be sure to visit Seaport Village. Seaport Village is a waterfront shopping, dining, and entertainment complex in downtown San Diego, featuring unique boutiques, restaurants, and attractions like a historic carousel, all set along the bay with views of the Coronado Bridge and close to the USS Midway, Kissing Statue and more. Seaport Village is near the Convention Center where they have Comic Con, Petco Park and the Gaslamp. Check it out! Happy Yelping :)

We arrived late afternoon on a pretty chilly day, but the views were still so gorgeous. There are resteraunts and shops and there is a path along the water that will take you to the USS Midway Museum. If you plan on visiting the museum, make sure you check for discount tickets before arriving. It's $40 at the door. There are so many awesome picture opportunities at this location. The Kissing Sailor Statue is amazing to see at 25 feet tall along with the Bob Hope Tribute. The sun was setting as we walked back and it made for a gorgeous walk. Parking is high in the adjacent lot at $8 an hour and they will charge you for an additional full hour even if you go 10 minutes over. I didn't realize it at the time, but they do validate at the shops.

This is a big tourist trap. It's nice to walk through here but I wished they had more high quality seafood places since it's by the water. They used to have a bigger variety of shops a decade ago. Parking you can find paid parking close by. Great views but they can do so much more.

It's been years since I last visited Seaport Village. I recently stopped by with my cousin, who was visiting California. I thought I would take her to some of the places I used to frequent during my childhood. I still remember when the buildings used to look more brown. It has a more appealing look with its white paint. Against the blue skies, it just looks more attractive. It still has that charm that I remember. I remember walking along the walkway between the shops and bay. These used to be a wall of boulders and stones that separated the walkway from the waters. It's now cemented for a polished white wall. The large fountain that I remember is still there. It still looks maintained and the restrooms are clean. There is a fee to park at Seaport Village. Overall, Seaport Village is a nice spot that's calm and has a relaxing vibe with a view of the bay - and, if you're lucky, you'll spot some naval ships pass by.

My boyfriend and I walked here from Little Italy on our first afternoon in San Diego. We had been traveling from the East Coast all day, so we were decidedly rather tired but trying desperately to stay awake until a reasonable hour. We stopped in various shops, including clothing stores and a hat shop, and then sat on the urban beach in Adirondack chairs for a bit. I caught a glimpse of a hummingbird drinking in the classical fountain, which meant good luck for our trip! We also viewed the ducks in the little pond. All in all, Seaport Village served as a nice and peaceful dose of retail therapy.

    Cute shops, music and restaurants!

How much is validated parking here?

Monday - Thursday: Discounted self-parking: $5 for the first 3 hours or part thereof; $3 every 30…

Is Seaport village shops all open yet or still closed due to Covid? 6/18/20

No. Many have closed permanently for redevelopment.

Where is the closest metered parking? (Street names would be nice) Thank you! (:

I would skip the metered parking. There is a free app called Ride Circuit that will pick you up anywhere in the downtown area for Free , and drop you off anywhere and pick you back up.

Yes there are (throughout the day).

    Where to eat?

There's 19 various places to eat & they can be found here: http://www.seaportvillage.com/restaurants

The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

I will never come back to Fashion Valley Mall again…read more I was very disappointed with my experience. The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.

I had a very disappointing experience at this mall because of the customer service at Panini Cafe,…read moreone of the businesses located inside. My pickup order was significantly delayed, but that was not the main issue. Delays happen. The real problem was the way I was treated when I simply asked for an update. One staff member responded by pointing at the monitor and saying, "OK?" in a dismissive and aggressive tone. He did not check on the order, explain anything, apologize, or show basic courtesy. I raised the issue with the manager at Panini Cafe, and she was professional and said she would address it, which I appreciated. However, the staff member himself appeared to avoid the situation and showed no apology, accountability, or remorse. This kind of experience reflects poorly not only on the restaurant but also on the overall customer experience at the mall. When businesses inside a mall treat customers this way, it affects how visitors perceive the entire place. Customers should be able to ask a reasonable question about a delayed order without being treated disrespectfully. I left with a very negative impression and will think twice before returning to this mall for food or pickup orders.
