Chuka Vista Center is one of the malls tgat when you enter the mall with galf of the restaurants that you can find the wide selection of fast food and the Starbucks Coffee with the Rubios Tacos. With the Center you can find nany of the clothing atores to Spencers to the AMC Theater tgay was the Reading Theater. There is the Burlibgton Coat Factory the two level clothing store that you can buy things for the damily and clothes for the kids and the wide selection of the mens suits and sports wear. One of the bezt things they have is the security that helps as the concierge yet they help with keeping the mall safe. Updated 2025 review -…read more While much has closed at this mall, some new changes have been made as well. From Sears closing to turning into housing and a new hospital, to CVS closing but then having Raisings Canes open up to an awesome bar in the middle of the mall with live entertainment. Also, Curacao is a newer addition, although they offer low monthly payments - items are a bit more on the pricey side. The holiday season brings some amazing festive decor. This mall is still home to places like Macy's, Guess, Lids, Spencer's, Burlington and JCPenney's amongst other little stores, AMC theater. Not to mention restaurants including BJ's, Buffalo Wild Wings, a sushi spot, Starbucks, See's candy, Burger King, and Olive Garden around the corner and Sizzlers and a handful of other places. Chick-fila is also a new addition to the mall. Our favorite frozen yogurt placed closed as we found out one night during a craving. There is plenty of parking, although up close and personal may be a wait. While this is a smaller outdoor mall, it still offers some of the variety of stores to shop at. There is still active construction going on, and it seems like there has been active construction for a few years now. There are electric parking spots and 15-minute parking (although people use this as a regular parking spot).

There were so many people visiting Seaport Village today. We approached from the Embarcadero walkway from the north. As we walked up, there is a sign that welcomes you to Seaport Village overhead. It's always very nice to see that. There are new shops and restaurants that are available. I was amazed at how many restaurants Seaport Village Now has. The Mike Hess Brewing is still there. The fish shop is still there and Mr. Moto's pizza is also still there. However, it was great to see that the shorebird had been remodeled and now is open for business over the water on the right hand side of the walkway. The highlight of our visit was walking by and seeing the Zeta restaurant now open on the walkway with views of the waterfront. Please see my review for the Zytoun restaurant. Please keep in mind that right now. Seaport Village is very, very busy with construction. Most of the businesses are still open however, several of them are in a construction area. The businesses over on the east side of Seaport Village before you get to the Sally's restaurant, are affected by the renovations. Spilled the beans coffee and Mike has tasting room are not affected, but foot traffic is affected. The town Square where they normally have music and entertainment is not affected now they have games somewhat like lawn games available in that square area, but the foot traffic is affected by the construction of the Outer building facing the marina. Ther are so many vendors here now. We actually were able to visit an art gallery, walk over the pond bridge, with ducks and pigeons, peruse through so many cute shops, check out all of the food offerings, and just enjoy the beautiful views of the water at the Embarcadero Marina Park while here. This is a wonderful walk, and with the vendors, and other sites, it ends up being an adventure.

I've been to Cotijas, Baskin Robbins, McDonald's, Subway, Vons, the petstore and even the flower shop. I've discovered the açaí bowl place next to subway. I've discovered an in store Starbucks at Vons (that makes better Fraps than the actual Starbucks locations). I've discovered a library across the street. All this, playing Pokémon go in this area. This whole place is loaded with in game content and a lot of players frequent the area while enjoying the local businesses. For many of us, the games presence was the defining difference maker as to why we would come here instead of let's say Otay Ranch Mall or Chula Vista Mall. Or another food location or Wal-Mart or even Costco's. It had a gym that many of us took pride in defending (a gym is an in game location that players Pokémon battle over for territorial control based on 1 of three team factions). Anyways, I thought about going to my favorite taco but ended up siding with cotijas over here since it is in this parking lot and I see that all the stops are being removed along with its gym. Nothing against cotijas, but the main reason that won me over here most of the time WAS Pokemongo. I understand some players hog the parking spots that may effect small businesses (real life greater than gaming life). But I just wanted to voice my opinion on this. This shopping Centre may not lose a lot of money. But this specific one is probably going to be crossed off of my main spending locations. It obviously needs every dollar it can get as small businesses constantly come and go. Like hallmark is already Out of Business here. Your local food spots were great for gamers though. Shutting them out isn't a great idea In my opinion because you miss out on extra business. Especially when your parking lot is a well known reference spot. "The Vons" is all we had to say and Pokemongo players knew which Vons you meant. Now it's just another Vons to us. Well probably migrate to another shopping center or area. But disappointed here for sure as this was my favorite due to the location. You see we wanted to consolidate trips. Have our cake and eat it too. Now it's either a Pokemongo event day or a Vons area day. I can't count how many times we shop here after a go session. Or just come here strictly for shopping before playing on the way out. This is a big rant for sure but somebody has to do it lol. Best Wishes and Thanks.

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

I will never come back to Fashion Valley Mall again…read more I was very disappointed with my experience. The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.
