The holiday decorations at the mall were pretty, well-lit, and simple. I feel like the simplicity made the decorations standout and gave them more taste. The Santa Claus station for photos was not packed at all nor did Santa have any customers; super surprising. The popular feature at this mall is the kids choo choo train that drives through the first floor of the mall. It runs about every 20 mins with so many little kid passengers. Overall, I recommend this indoor mall. The parking is not bad, parking is free, and the food court is constantly expanding. The vibe here was good on this visit. I found a lot of cool and unique gifts from the vendor kiosks in the middle of the 1st floor walkways in the mall. They are a great feature here.

I wonder what will.come, it has been listed on the market to rent since Octiber 2025 but still remains completely empty. While we still have Hobby Lobby, Aldi's, Smart & Final, Little Caesars , a nail place, a Pho place and mattress firm. Plenty of parking throughout the complex especially without having Party City, those parking spots are up from grabs as it use to sit in between Aldi's and Hobby Lobby. The hours of these businesses vary with Smart & Final opening first. It is convenient as the complex is located right off the 54 highway and the 5. Good service at these stores and good value.

Yesterday was a trip that was taken to the far end of Chula Vista to the 3400 of Highland Blvd there is a large outdoor mall with a parking that takes up the many spaces that cover the many parts of the mall. With the many malls that are here in San Diego they have structured parking and the easy and safe ways to the stores and not to have to wait passing traffic through an open mall parking area. The wide array of stores there were the ones such as the Office Depot and Dixieline lumber yet there were no trucks that I had seen to make it as the main mill store or to the lumber yard. with the many department stores with those such as the Ross and the Marshalls stores there were ones that told me there was bargain stores those of the Dollar Tree where you could get many items for the very low cost and the store was not prepared for the openi9ng with no extra change for customers or bags for customers. The Shopping Marketplace was one that was multi sided and had multiple of stores with the area that the Marketplace was located there were fast-food places and the occasional taco restaurants that were close by the one which makes sense for the Marketplace is to have a full-size restaurant. With the many malls and the shopping centers that are throughout San Diego and the North County you can find many places that are more of the smaller strip malls and with Gateway Marketplace it was more of large business city and Industrial area. For the many shoppers that like the closeness of the stores and not to have to walk to far that is one drawback that the Gateway Marketplace has. With the size of the mall, it does have much more room for more stores and the addition of a few markets and convenience stores to the mall. As a Yelp Reviewer the many malls and the Marketplaces that I have seen have been some of the largest with shopping malls they keep changing and the addition of the movie theaters the managers and the owners the ultimate experience when you come to shop.

All the stores with construction outfront had signs so you know they're still open. The work didn't get in the way of my shopping at all.. easy to navigate. Grossmont has a good mix of top retail stores (target, Walmart, barnes and noble, dollar tree) and small businesses. I think it's value added to your shopping experience when you're able to meet business owners and see the impact your support has on a family. I hope the updates do not drive costs up and that small businesses remain. I've found great deals here when everything is just so expensive. If you have young kids, definitely go visit the playground! Avoid the overstock store. It's just not worth it. I am really looking forward to seeing the new food court. I hope it will look better and feel better when you walk inside because it just seemed so dirty for me and I didn't want to eat at any of the places. I tried one time and the place I wanted was closed. I have nothing against any individual food place. The look of the court made me uncomfortable and makes me question what I don't get to see. Anyways, I will keep shopping here and I'm glad to see money going into it opposed to tearing it down.

Decent size mall with target, Walmart, bath body works, Barnes & nobles, Verizon, ceramic cafe etc. there's a few restaurants around the center as well. It's so close to the freeway and plenty of parking. Pretty good customer service at most of the stores. I am sad that they recently closed down the cinema; such an affordable place to go when you want to watch new movie releases. So much cheaper than AMC for sure.

It is home to Taco Bell, Wing Stop, Fatte's Pizza, a Paint store, oil change place and a handful of other restaurants including a fusion restaurant MJs. The Thai place has recently closed. It has easy access to the freeway. Entry and exit are good. Plenty of parking is available. Movement in parts of the parking lot are not ideal as bottlenecks can occur. A large variety of fast food establishments like Carl's Jr and Taco Bell are available. The area around the AMC is getting a makeover with new several stores and restaurants opening soon. Overall, it meets the needs of the local community in regards to shopping, entertainment, and fast food. It is lacking a bar and fast casual dining. More green space would be nice.
