This is an online computer products store. Looking to increase the speed of my older model MacBook Pro, a friend suggested I get some memory cards here. The friend sent me a screenshot of the exact card I'd need so that all I needed was do a quick word search of the product name, click on the product listing, select the desired memory card size and quantity details, open an online account, set up my credit card details, choose a shipping method cost, then approve the purchase. The cheapest shipping was $4.01 for the $36 item, and they also charged tax. That was it! I received the boxed up item within good time. The box was free of any damage and still looked like it was a fresh, new box. This is a good vendor for memory cards. The options availability and pricing even with the shipping make shopping online here indeed a good deal. If you are on the lookout for adjusting the memory on your computer equipment, this is a very good online store to purchase from. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Poor customer service outsourced from around the world. Waited over a week for a product that was open box. Called myself after no communication, the new item was now almost the same price as it was on sale they refused to send It to fulfill the order. They emailed to say they could not help with the case it had to be cancelled. I agreed to cancel. Instead of cancelling they declined my credit card. So that got marked as fraudulent. Very strange and potentially illegal activities for this company. Will go elsewhere for my products! read more

Hello: I ordered a MacBook Pro 2 days ago and I still don't see anything regarding shipping the shipping information OWC has provided me. Can you find out what's going on with my shipment? I spoke with FedEx yesterday, and they were saying there's nothing coming up in their system with the tracking number I provided, nor has a label been created under the tracking number. Can you confirm that my package has left the facility, FedEx has picked up the package, or the package has been dropped off at a FedEx location and a label has been created? OWC says, that the package was shipped the same day that I ordered it. I used to work in mail and created FedEx labels all the time, and once a label was created under that number, I would track it, and it would say, Label created. I don't see anything moving whenever I track the shipment. I was supposed to receive this package in 2-3 days; I paid extra money to receive this package on time. I just don't want to feel like someone is giving me the runaround. I'm starting to believe some fraudulent activity is going on with the package. I know it doesn't take this long to receive updates from FedEx. Maybe the shipping department opted for a shipping method that doesn't provide tracking details.Thank you. read more

BUYER BEWARE Final review: Have defective OWC 16 terrabyte hard drive. This review follows up several previous ones. OWC put up roadblocks finally giving me "repair phone #" to call to set up a return. The consumer is responsible for shipping. OWC requires a serial number, this despite the drive lacking a serial #. Instead it has a QR code. By requiring the consumer supply a non-existent serial #, OWC avoids repairing any defective hard drives. OWC's behavior is fraudulent. Literally just stole 200 dollars from me. Sold me the computer, shipped me the computer then mid shipping they requested return to sender. There was zero communication as to why. When I inquired, they tried to extort ANOTHER 200 dollars out of me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Edited to address this half witted response. I am long time OWC customer. I always consider them when searching for a Mac upgrade and most of the times end up purchasing from them. One hard lesson for me was that sometimes you can find something cheaper with other vendors, but you later find that a 5 year warranty is not always 5 years because 2 have already passed. If I could give them negative stars I would. Stay away from these guys. If something goes wrong with your order their customer service, like so many other US companies these days, is through a 3rd party call center. They don't know what they are talking about, constantly putting you on hold while they consult some manual or deal with other customers. I finally just canceled my order. I've been buying from OWC since the early 2000's. My 2018 Warehouse Computer died. It happens. On Wednesday I Found a used replacement Mac Mini on OWC that stated "In Stock, Ships Same Day" I ordered it and a Thunderbolt cable to go with and paid extra $73 for FedEx Priority Overnight Delivery the next business day by 10:30 a.m. Shipping from Ohio to Tennessee. Great, Should be back up and running Thursday morning. Nope. No tracking, no shipment made. I called, and was told Mac Mini had to be built. 2-3 day lead. How can that be for a used Mac Mini. on OWC that stated "In Stock, Ships Same Day". After I complained Thursday, My Thunderbolt cable arrived (today) Friday but still no mac mini. I did not pay $73 overnight for a $19 cable. I was told this morning (Friday) to expect the mac mini today but FedEx tracking does not even show that they have accepted / received / scanned the package yet. After speaking with / chatting with 4 different OWC customer dis- service agents Thursday and Friday. It boils down to they claim "The shipping method applies when the order was shipped on April 3, 2025. Having overnight up to 2 days maximum transit time, you should receive it by Monday." ha ha ha I pointed out that I paid for FedEx Priority Overnight: Delivery the next business day by 10:30 a.m.. I provided a FedEx link that explains what the FedEx Priority Overnight service is and asked OWC to send me link that says FedEx Priority Overnight may take 2 days. They could NOT of course and said "Thank you for waiting, Matt. The minimum and maximum transit times I provided are for internal use only. We apologize; I am unable to share the link." I asked them to at least call fedex and change to Saturday delivery so I would not have to wait til Monday (if it even arrives then) but was told my order did not include "Saturday and Sunday are not included." Not one time did any of them give me a straight answer, blaming build time, transit time and weather. They didnt offer a different machine that could be overnighted. They never offered to refund the overnight fee I paid. I experienced a 75% failure rate on a purchase of 4 SSDs. 1 failed during the warranty period (was replaced). Two more failed less than 30 days after warranty expiration. I asked them to meet me in the middle, perhaps with a small discount on replacement drives. They refused. This makes me extremely suspect of their quality. I recommend looking at other options. I bought a combination 8 Tb HDD and 8 Tb SSD to stack with MacStudio. It only came with an 8 Tb HDD and 4 Tb SSD. The HDD lasted about a month. Got the run around doing steps week by week with support. Finally, they agreed to try to fix it, and they gave me a shipping label. It was shipped back to me in the exact same condition with no explanation. The device now works, but it is because I bought a new cable as their cable did not work. Kudos to them for checking in with me. Not so many kudos for checking the basics and sending the device back to me with no explanation. read more

I bought a monitor for a new Mac Mini to replace our old iMac. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a monitor so I found this refurbished one and took a chance. Well, the monitor arrived and didn't work no matter how many adapters I tried. OWC's sent me an RMA for a refund but guess what? They want me to pay for shipping back to them! Since this is a large item to ship it was going to cost me $140 which means. It's not worth the time and frustration to deal with customer service as they have not offered anything but a "sorry". I've been a customer forever and have referred others to OWC as I loved them. That's why I can't believe what happened. I was sold a defective SSD. I tried a few times to get it to work, but it didn't even following their instructions. I wanted to return it, but the website said it was nonreturnable! I got onto chat about it and was sent instructions to troubleshoot as I agreed to try as I want the SSD to work. It didn't work two more times with their troubleshooting guide. So I contacted OWC to get a return going. They said I have to pay shipping to return it and won't be refunded shipping I paid. They said I didn't troubleshoot so they wouldn't send me a return label, which is false! I did what I was sent! They also said the shipper delivered a product to me so I'm out the shipping costs because it's not OWC's service. "We are also not able to refund the original shipping cost as the product was shipped successfully to you. " Every return to every company has refunded me shipping costs. Every single one. If I was returning this because I didn't want it I'd understand. But because OWC didn't deliver to my door it's tough luck? Is that legal? So for $20 they've lost a longtime customer. I ordered a Sapphire Prism Radeon RX 580 video card from OWC thinking it was new. It was priced at $200 which is twice as much as a used card goes for on eBay. The product page did say it was used, but it was not very obvious. When I asked to return it for a refund, they denied my request and said the sale was final. Don't pay these guys twice the price for used goods and deceptive marketing. Update: after much back-and-forth, to their credit MacSales (OWC) agreed to take a return and refund my money. Placed a $2500+ order during cyber sale. Received a phone call two days later telling me OWC didn't have the computer available. They asked me to pick another one but wouldn't honor the cyber sale discount. When I tried to cancel my order I had to call. OWC's customer service and chat are overseas and very hard to deal with.
