Robert and David are top notch professionals. I had them install a complete lift kit for my Jeep Wrangler 392. They did an outstanding job! I'm not easy to please and have high expectations but they surpassed my expectations in every way. I look forward to having them install some additional mods in the near future. (Robert) Otwell Fabrication brought a vision to life for us: we discussed our goals and plans for an Overland Trailer. From materials to completion Robert took the time (and patience) to accommodate, explain, update, advise throughout the process. His timeline for completion was as promised and he more than exceeded our expectations. We received a finished product that meets our requested needs and shows the dedication to craft and creativity necessary to accomplish the challenges we presented--and I have no doubt will stand up to the use we have planned for it (already about 300 off road miles and 3-400 highway miles on the clock). I would recommend Otwell Welding and Fabrication for any job. We were in a real bind and found Robert by chance thank god! He came out ASAP to fix the tongue on our toy hauler after it had just buckeled on us. He was already there and working on it before we even got back out there. (we had to leave it out at the lake until we could get someone to help) :( He did exactly what he said he would do and stayed intouch with us through out. If I could give him a 10 star I would. read more

Robert Otwell does great work. I own 2 Toyota Tacomas, plus a 2-axle hydraulic dump trailer, and he has worked on all of these for me. On my Tacomas he did extensive suspension work (totally replaced the suspension on 1 of them), built a utility flatbed for one, and installed some electrical components and wiring. For the trailer, he basically rebuilt the whole thing: all new axles, wiring, hydraulic pump, brake system, lift, and some body repairs as well. When you hire Robert you will get a guy who is committed to doing top-quality work, and also takes the time to listen to what his customers want and tries his best to deliver. Of course, you will pay for this, but his prices are much more reasonable than the bigger shops. Plus he is a super nice guy. If you need custom fab work, I recommend you call him first. read more

I needed a ramp repair and side gate modifications for privacy. Mark was one of the few who…read moreresponded to my request showed up next day to provide an estimate. The ramp allows for smooth wheel chair access. The gate took longer to complete due to his scheduling. In the end, the gate height was extended, box for regular door locks added, and a privacy panel added on the back side. The welds could have been smoother and I should have gone with a powder coat instead of brushed on paint, but I got the privacy I wanted. Update: the side weld on the frame was left too sharp. Jacket got caught and while unhooking, sliced my hand. I ended up taking the gate to PS welding to repair the issues. Had I known, it would have been cheaper for Palm Springs Welding to make me new custome gate from the start. Lessons learned: based on the welding rates and quotes I received, it should have cost me about half of what Mark charged me.

I needed it fixed quickly so the contractor can continue his work without me staying here 24/7. I also wanted a quality opener with a decent price and good workmanship by the installer. I called EZ Garage Door and they met all these requirements with flying colors. I contacted EZ and its owner, Robert, responded immediately. He was on vacation but scheduled me the next day after his vacation ended. He offered me a free inspection to find the problem I was having, but I already was planning to have a new opener installed. As a courtesy, he sent me a list of openers I could have installed, with the total OTD price for whichever one I chose. He had at least 7-8 to choose from. He installs only quality brands and is very knowledgeable of what each can do, which depends on what you want the new opener to do. He arrived at the scheduled time and was ready to install immediately, since I had already chosen the opener I wanted. Robert is extremely knowledgeable and very prepared to do the job. He had to work around a "remodel in process", but had no issues or problems with the situation. He said it would take about 90 minutes to complete the job: 60 to complete the installation and 30 to explain any and all nuances of my new opener. The installation was very clean and professional. I not only want quality but appearance as well. It must be good AND look good. Robert was excellent! It looks clean. He spent the last few minutes explaining all the new functions of my new opener and how to use them. If you haven't purchased an opener in years, BE READY FOR AN EXPERIENCE! They have modernized the opener to meet today's automation. My business with EZ Garage Doors was a great experience. Robert is young, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. He's clean, organized and leaves no trace of even being here. He truly deserves a 5 star rating, and if you're looking to replace or upgrade your opener, this is the place to go. Brief description of the issues I needed help with: One door was collapsing from a broken wire and was stuck halway open. The second garage door was inoperable, despite my DIY attempts. I have not paid Robert to do any work, and that's the great thing about Robert. Robert is a very nice and helpful guy. Let me explain. I was off-roading with my wife, and the power steering high-pressure line blew off the pump. I attempted to fix it with some hose clamps, but I still needed some power steering fluid. I drove down a trail until I ran across a group of people that looked like they might have some power steering fluid. When I got out of my Jeep and said hi, Robert stepped forward and listened to my story. He ended up sacrificing his only 2 bottles of power steering fluid, which for Robert was a sacrifice, since his steering was full hydro. He potentially needed the power steering fluid much more than I did. Anyway, Robert spent at least a half hour with me helping me think through a better solution for a fix to the hose, since my hose clamps didn't hold under pressure. Robert came up with the brilliant idea of using my vice-grips to hold the hose. I had two sets of vice grips, so we clamped both of them on to hold the hose. This rig held up. I drove into the nearest town (Big Bear) and got some more fluid, and then drove the 86 miles home with power steering. Thanks Robert, it was great meeting you and your wife. read more

Robert with Otwell welding & Fabrication did 3 seperate projects for me . Supplied & installed A 4" suspension lift to add more clearance with a better ride on & off road , a cat back exhaust system to improve sound & performance & an electric auto retracting nerf bars side steps to make it easier for my young children & my wife to access in & out of my truck & so that while off roading it wouldn't be in the way or damaged . This was all done on my 4x4 late model truck . He did it with the highest level of professionalism . Great communication skills , He showed me his patience in dealing with me & my lack of knowledge about his products & took the time to go over the pros & cons of the options to help me make the right choices . He was obviously as intelligent & experienced as he was skilled with the hands on actual installations . The workmanship on the installations was flawless . He did it when he said he would , right on schedule & everything looked clean & neat , All the items I had him do performed well & met or exceeded the goals I had desired . I recommend Otwell Fabrication to anyone needing any sort of welding and fabrication work. I have done business twice now with Robert. The first time, he gave me tons of information and helped guide me towards purchasing an MCM long travel kit through him, and throughout the entire process, he was keeping me updated with the status of the shipment as soon as he was updated himself. The second time, I actually put him to work. I brought my long traveled Tacoma to him to replace my engine mount perches, (lots of work, and he did it with a smile) he cycled my front suspension and added in my ADS air bump stops, securely attached my remote reservoirs, cycled my rear suspension, moved my rear shackle hangers forward and fabricated new shackles for me. I can't be happier with the work otwell welding and fabrication did on our 2003 4runner. I was updated with pictures and any changes we needed to do on the bumper often. I knew the first time I talked to Robert I wanted to take our vehicle to him due to how nice he was. It's always nice finding a fabricator you can trust and also creating a friendship out of this. Robert otwell comes with one of the highest levels of integrity I've ever come across his ability and metal fabrication surpasses most people I've ever dealt with. I had him build/fabricate a water hauling trailer that would hold 1600 gallons. Needless to say it came out amazing! When it came off the hitch, it stays completely balanced! The tongue never fell down. Amazing weight distribution! I've now been using this trailer for a total of 4 and 1/2 years, being said, this trailer has been tried and true. We drove 10 hours this past week to have Robert of Otwell Welding and Fabrication diagnose and correct the front end problems that we have been experiencing with our Ford E350 van. After having a mechanic in Arizona charge us over $2000 and not cure the death wobble, Robert found and fixed the problem.
