I just had my house painted. This was not a small project. I was very impressed from the start to the end. The started a day earlier than they had planned becasue they had finished a job earlier than expected. That was an amazing surprise!! I was sent pictures of the progress as I was not there at the time and it was plenty of pictures to show the work. I wish that I had another house that I could use then on. I recently had the family cabin painted by Chango's Painting and I am really impressed by the results, the crew that did the work, and Jose Silva who owns the company. Chango's Painting was recommended by a friend. When I first reached out to get an estimate Jose was prompt at returning my call and was prompt returning an estimate. The price was very reasonable. It was very reasonable because the wood cabin was going to need very serious prep work as it had not been painted in two decades or so. Chango's sanded all of the exterior surfaces, primed everything, and then painted or stained all of the exterior. I had chosen to keep the same basic brown for the cabin itself and had opted for a specific forest green for the railings. The deck surfaces had been a red solid stain before and I opted to go with the same this time. Jose was very good in helping me pick from a couple of different greens and he helped me avoid a blunder as the brown I had selected would have been very dark (he is a good color guy). I think the combination came out very well. Jose and crew showed up on the day we had agreed and got right to work. I was impressed by the crew; there was only hard work and they got right to the preparation and sanding. They rarely stopped and everyone on the crew was very friendly. The final result is very, very, good. I could not be more pleased. It is obvious that all of the preparation paid off because the paint is very uniform and the coverage is really complete. They also cleaned up after themselves well including making sure that the interior was free of any dust that had slipped in during the sanding. I am really please with the job they did. Someone at the butchers block hardware store recommended these guys, thankfully!They arrived on time and did a very thorough job. Communication was good and the price was fair. I am so glad I went with him, the cabot wood stain came out great and really gave new life to my cabin. I can't say enough good things about this business. Jose and his crew are highly professional, efficient and friendly. We had 3 decks sanded and stained and a T1-11 panel replaced. We dreaded being inconvenienced for a week, as was the case with other workers we had used in the past, but that was not the case with Chango. Ten workers arrived at 8:00 the first day and sanded every surface thoroughly and with care, being careful to get every nook and cranny. The second day they applied stain and were finished with the first coat by noon. The third morning they applied a second coat, and a third finish on the fourth day. Jose is a model for how to run a business and provides the BEST customer service of any business on the mountain. I'm a perfectionist and Chango surpassed my expectations. read more
