Laid back and great music playing. Indoor and outdoor seating. The food was once again delicious and our family was very impressed. 2 of us had the Spicy BLT which is my favorite. Wings were a big hit. The Grandslam Burger was gigantic. Really the BLT and burger could be split between 2 people unless you are starving. I prefer the onion rings over fries but both are great. What an amazing experience. My husband and I appreciated that this was still downtown, but off the chaos of Bathhouse Row. Apparently it's a food trailer that has gotten so popular that they purchased the building for seating/bar/stage, but still operates out of the food trailer. Pork rinds come as an app, like Mexican food places bring tortilla chips. The food has large portions and is AMAZING! My husband got the protein bowl and I had the alligator sausage plate. We came here after our spa and massage experience at Quapaw Baths. The pork rinds are free of charge and they are really good. I was surprised actually given that it's just pork rinds but it was really good. My entre was the brisket bacon grilled cheese. There was no cheese on that sandwich so I'm not sure what's up with the name. Is it possible the cook forgot it to put cheese on there? I don't know. The brisket bacon grilled cheese (with no cheese) was delicious though. The brisket was cooked to perfection and the bacon was good and salty. Excellent new indoor bar area! Food truck is where all the magic happens, but their new heated and cooled restaurant /bar is beautiful. It's just hidden enough that this will be a locals favorite for years to come. Today I had the brisket plate, with beans, slaw and toast. Brisket was smokey and juicy ( and plentiful for the price). The beans were some of the best BBQ beans I've had in a long time. The slaw was good, but I think I was too focused on the brisket and beans. These was more food on my lunch plate than I could eat. They also have some amazing bourbon flights available, and transparent pricing on all alcohol. ( no more ordering a drink to find out it was highway robbery) I'll be back. I never understand negative reviews when a place is fabulous. Luckily, there are only a couple nuggies here. Because, did I already mention, this place is fabulous?! Only second time here, came when there was a radio station broadcasting. It was hopping again, as it was before. I chatted with one of the owners, Tiah, who recommended a lovely beer I was able to take home as a 6-pack. Service was super-quick and super-friendly, like before. I had brisket with fried green tomatoes, and coleslaw, followed by banana pudding. The fried green tomatoes were amazing. The breading was nice and crispy. The waitress recommended the fried green tomatoes, and they did not disappoint. My also favorite thing was the banana pudding. It is homemade. The service was amazing. Was looking for some late night fare and Ouachitas was one of the few places serving late (till 1am!) We originally sat outside but as the evening began to cool moved to one of their tables near a propane heater. Ordered the Loaded Fries with Pulled Pork (they were out of smoked chicken, understandable due to the time). It took a while to come out, but we had a large party and this may not be indicitave of their normal service. The fries were well cooked and the pulled pork was excellent! The cheese sause on top was tasty, though there was a lot of it and it was a bit overwhelming. BBQ was smoky without being too sweet. They proded themselves on their dragonfruit ranch (it was pink!) but it kind of got lost in all the other flavors. Would recommend a visit. read more

Worst experience I have had in a really long time. We arrived around 12:40 and had our drink and food order quickly taken. They did tell us when ordering they were out of alligator sausage. We got our drinks quickly and then it all went downhill. Our appetizers, beer cheese and macaroni bites, were still not at our table after over an hour. Then we were informed they ran out of brisket so two of the three of us had to change our order. My son finally gets his food after about an hour and a half. Another 20 minutes my husband gets his and guess what, I never got mine. After two hours of being patient and waiting!!!! My husband and i arrived at 7:30pm on a Sat. Our order was taken right away. We ordered tea , a starter and 2 entrees. The drinks were brought promptly. 45 mins later the starter was brought to the table. The 2 entrees seconds later ( During the 45 min wait we weren't checked on or told anything. We were out of anything to drink) The mac & cheese poppers were bland. The chopped prime brisket & the brisket cheesesteak sandwiches ordered were full of large chunks of fat. Just had dinner here with my family (party of 7). It was a really great place to come to for food, live music and great friendly service. I would have posted pictures but we were all hungry and I completely forgot to take photos lol but trust me, the food was delicious and so worth it! We had 2 paradise burgers, 1 obg burger, brisket plate w/2sides, brisket grilled cheese, kids tenders, and a kids burger. The patties are THICK & juicy! Very mouth watering! Not soggy like someone posted on a review I saw. The buns were really good too! My son loves the grilled cheese. My girls loved their food and the kids burger is like a regular size burger! Love that about the kids burgers. Some places give small ones but this was surprisingly bigger. Brisket was good too. Paradise burgers were tasty as well. Now to the looks lol, it's got parking in the back or you can park on the street. They have seating outside and some seating inside with a cool bar and the band inside. Band did a great job, they played good music and took requests. Very rustic look which I like. The staff is friendly.
