Located in Market Commons in Myrtle Beach, SC near the Stone movie theatre and other eateries nearby and within walking distance. We were actually walking from Kings Grille that was about 3 blocks away. Decided to look in here because I love to find a nice book to read. They had a lot of books from romance to steven king to biographies,cookbooks, magazines and more! They also have music cds, vinyls, and dvds for purchasing. Upon looking, I found The Wicked Soundtrack of the original broadway show, and decided upon getting it. I also was looking for a Percy Jackson series books- I think trials of Apollo- and all those books were in the kids section with the Harry Potter Books and Goosebumps. For kids, they also have lots of toys and jigsaw puzzles. An unique thing to Barnes and Noble is that they also had tons of Harry Potter items- such as legos where one can build the scenes of the movies, and various shirts too. I couldn't find trials of Apollo though, but it's okay! Store was clean and organized. Went to the front to pay for the Wicked Soundtrack. Hardly a line, Cashier was pleasant- paid with cash and the total was $13.00 for the cd! Got accurate change. Oh and they also have a starbucks here plus a cafe to sit down and read, and wifi too! He greeted me and I mentioned the author I was hunting. He did his computer magic and helped me promptly. I slapped him on the back and thanked him for helping me when no other book store could. Book prices are 2 dollars for paperbacks (he has 1 section that is 3 dollars) and hardbacks are betwen 4 to 5 dollars. one you buy 5 paperbacks he gives u a free one. The fella I spoke with informed me that they would be closing soon but if I hurried up down there that they would do their best to accommodate me. Not only did Douglas allow me to shop at closing time, he assured me that I did not need to rush as this was a family owned business and they value their customers. They truly could not have been any nicer or more accommodating, they even had to run my credit card on an old-fashioned machine because they had already closed their computer system down.
