We made a special effort to go to this iconic gift shop and T-shirt shop on the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach. Since it was only part of the stores we visited, the parking fee for a couple of hours to visit the entire boardwalk was acceptable ($18). There is a huge selection of seashells, sharks teeth, trinkets, mementos/souveniers, T-shirts, and everything beachwear in Myrtle Beach in this unique & historic shop. I found exactly what I needed for the prices I wanted to pay and I walk away feeling like a super shopper. Just as you walk in and think it's a small location you find yourself going up and down stairs to different areas of the store. The prices are impeccable and the value for the items well worth it. I love to seek and find items and you will need to truly look to find items you'll want to purchase. The selection goes from quirky to elegant as you look through each area. They have seashells from.12 cents all the way to 7.98 per shell. Wind chimes, beach signs, home goods, kids toys, fairies , garden pots, sign, and watering cans, fountains. So much more the variety is beyond everything I could post. You have to come see for yourself. I am going to need another vacation just to get through it myself. The hardest part is parking. Downtown parking is a scam - so we tried to come here 3 times until we finally found a street meter spot. Several floors of fun here. We came for a T-shirt and to visit a long standing landmark shop. They have a cool store within that sells megalodon teeth and I bought 2 big ones. Not everything here is cool but it was fun walking around. They also have a wall of souvenir license plates that has almost every kids name. Like they have a lot of rare names including my daughter who can never find her name on anything. That alone was worth it. read more

I'm not even fully sure if this was either the most unhinged or simply the most magical store I've ever had the pleasure of getting lost in. The name and sign drew us in and the multiple levels, the flea market vibe with literally anything imaginable for sale kept us there for what felt like hours. A different gift shop experience. This place is huge! There are multiple floors and this place is packed from wall to wall with both beach and non beach themed items. There are different types of mystery grab bags all along the store, some for kids with toys and others for adults. Considering the amount of merchandise they do a great job at keeping order by sectioning out by theme. Some of the themes: shark tooth jewelry/baby sharks preserved, jewelry, bags, ocean collectables like sand dollars/conch shells/assorted shells, there were a lot of items with catchy sayings (like what you see at home goods but some spicy/sarcastic/funny ones), plenty of typical beach memorabilia and home decor. Need a large elephant , or llama? They have them here! We spent almost an hour walking around. All the twists and turns left me a little disoriented and we had trouble finding the exit. Actually a few others were in the same situation so you have been warned lol. The prices were really good! I expected everything to be way more expensive considering this sits on the boardwalk! The rest of it is home decor items. I can't even list all of the items here. Talking a huge selection of sea shells and beach themed home decor items. The selection is overwhelming. We visited this place while on vacation. The place was interesting. It had cute stuff that was reasonable price. HOWEVER, my child and I received absolutely awful service . First the cashier who was a male was very friendly with the man in front of me. When I got to the counter he was extremely quiet no pleasantries not even a hello. Which I thought was odd since he had so much to say to the person in front of me. He threw my items in a bag and told me the total. I realized then it wasn't my imagination he was being rude on purpose. I politely asked to wrap my items in paper too. He told me the items were plastic which they weren't. I did my best to mustard up a smile and politely ask again that he wrap my items just as he did for the man in front of me. He did with much attitude and then shoveled them in a too small bag. I again mustard up a smile and requested a bigger bag. I refused to meet him with his rude behavior. It's not very often I encounter rude behavior like his but he won't ruin my good mood!! read more

This place is definitely a treasure cove. Many of the people at the registers were super friendly and there's definitely a lot to see in the store. We mainly came in for souvenirs whilst we were hanging out on the boardwalk. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that the specific person who helped us at the main register was in a bad mood. I said hello and she ignored me. I was going to ask for assistance with an item they kept behind the register (animated skeleton figures) and she didn't even let me get a word out before she told me the total for my items. read more

We had a blast walking around this store. It is full of just about everything. They have clothing, jewelry, gifts, posters, etc. My husband said said it was like a high value dollar store on crack. The gift store claims to be the nation's largest gift shop. I'm not quite sure if it is... but man is it some sort of large. Crammed into this M.C. Escher stairs painting of a store is more gaudy beach gifts than one could ever ask for. It's so big that they have dedicated sections for different themes. Egyptian? They got you! Native American? They got you! Sea shell themed Christmas decorations and ornaments? They got you! We spent probably 30 minutes or so exploring the maze and found all sorts little trinkets, furniture, fountains, name personalized key chains, and scary movie fortune teller machines. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about... the giant glass boxes with the animatronic figures inside that talk and spit out a card with your fortune or future on it. I did one of the machines cause it was a mere dollar to see the little show that it puts on for you and was pleasantly satisfied. I ended up purchasing a couple of air plant magnet seashells and a mister for them. They had the cute idea of nestling little air plants in miniature rams horn style sea shells. I'm not one to decorate with sea shells, but these really caught my eye. I put one on the front of the fridge, and I hope you learn the hard lesson from me if you deicide to get your own sea shells magnet, but one time the fridge door swung open to wide and chipped the seashell on the wall. Womp womp. Good thing I bought two! If you're looking for souvenirs for friends, fam, or even yourself I'd definitely recommend stopping by the Gay Dolphin. It's been at Myrtle Beach since the 1940's apparently, and it's definitely worth a meander through. read more

Beach junk store galore! This shop is conveniently located right on the boardwalk and near the beach. I came in for a browse upon recommendation from a friend, I had no idea this place was as big as it is! I did spot a sign in the window that they allow dogs inside, which is always cool to see since we area always traveling with our furry friends. A large portion of the store focuses on souvenirs. This is the perfect place to pick up knick knacks with "Myrtle Beach" imprinted on them. They also carry an abundance of home decor that is beach or nautical themed. I did see a pretty decent assortment of t-shirts and other clothing items, even some footwear. They do have items at all different price points. I grabbed a Myrtle Beach sticker for a buck and a mini license plate for my friend's kids. If you are looking for memorabilia from your beach vacation, check this spot out. read more

On a whim I bookmarked this store to go in. I was iffy because it didnt have great reviews. Walking around I was just amazed and how huge this store is and how much random stuff it had. So if you are looking for a touristy store, DEFINITELY check this store out! It has about 7-8 floors of different stuff. My daughters name is Cheyenne and it's damn near impossible to find anything with her name on it. Majority of things here did not have her name. But they did have a wall of tiny license plates, like 2x3" that there was one left! So, it was meant to be! They also have a ton of cute wall decor, any shell you can think of and much much more. Being the OG gift store in town, we had to make a stop on our visit. It's easy to get turned around in this place. There is a lot of cool stuff here. I am a bit of a fantasy gaming nerd so I really enjoyed the selection of dragon and fairy and knight memorabilia. They also had incense and other nicnacks for our group's gaming room. I found a bunch of little souvenirs for family and friends here. It took me awhile to figure how to find things. Some people love that but not me as much. If you like the adventure of finding cool trinkets, this is the place to go. It's definitely a cool place. The manager was helpful with finding a few items I was looking for. I liked the fountain and the stairwell leading down to the candle area in the lower level. The one thing I could not find on my trip was a pirate themed bottle opener so I picked up a generic Myrtle Beach one here. Most of the pirate stuff here was plastic child stuff. The goblets and statutes were my favorite and I added some pictures. Definitely worth a stop in (I made two and may do one more before I leave tomorrow). read more

They've got so many unique beach items, jewelry, hell there might even be a grocery store tucked in there somewhere (just kidding) A lot of their items are reasonable priced, but some of them are wayyyy out there.
