Here's an exception. Our Next Chapter is a cool little shop on Main Street in Conway, South Carolina. Very nice to visit and browse. They are a small shop so they probably won't have what you're looking for, but they'll order anything you want (in person, over the phone, or online) and you didn't have to drive in Myrtle Beach traffic. The collection of available media was very well curated. Lots of very desirable pieces without too much excess clutter. I did find the prices of be a bit high throughout the shop, even for a smaller, local place where you expect a higher price tag and it feels okay going along with it because you're supporting a small business. While the shop itself isn't massive in scope, they are stock-piled with a whole lot of awesome stuff. There is a heavy emphasis on action figures and I saw plenty of the Marvel Legends, GI Joe and Star Wars figures along with several groups of classic toys as well, meaning older editions of this stuff that either were of their own personal collections or from others who wished to part with the treasures. Also before you ask, yes they have Funko Pops. Of course there are comic books both new and more vintage and while some of those are in boxes, the higher priced editions are up above on racks or the wall space to be showcased better. I didn't purchase anything despite having my eyes set on the brand-new Hasbro Cobra Commander. I didn't bring a big suitcase with me so I only had so much room to carry stuff back. I bought three used records from them and all were top notch in terms of sound and cleanliness. The prices are reasonable and they have some great finds. The biggest plus is there is no pretension at all. The owners, Greg and Robin, are super personable and engaging. Highly recommended!
